About The Kitchen Consigliere
Come enjoy old Italian-style dishes, known today as Italian comfort food, at The Kitchen Consigliere as executive chef Angelo Lutz preserves the heritage of real, authentic homestyle cooking. His spot is an informal BYOB Italian eatery with an emphasis on the peasant dishes found in traditional homestyle Italian cooking. Influenced by the dishes he ate as a youngster, Angelo's cooking style stems from teaching and recipes taught by his mother and grandmother. The atmosphere is informal and the food and menus change often, allowing The Kitchen Consigliere to be a cozy, quaint and not over-the-top eatery for the entire family. And good food isn't the only reason to eat at the café. The real adventure is meeting with the real kitchen consigliere; you will come for the food but stick around for the conversation.

The Kitchen Consigliere Ratings and Reviews
I came with a group of my friends for dinner and we were all so pleased with out meals. I ordered the cioppino and it was absolutely delicious. The seafood was cooked well and the pasta was so fresh. This wasn't the first time that we've come here for dinner and we'll be back again!
We had an earlier dining time (4:45 PM) and when we got there the place was mostly empty. We were taken to a table right next to the kitchen. With the whole restaurant essentially open, I thought we might be able to get a nicer table. Was told that the restaurant was totally booked and that there were no other tables available. Our first time there. Maybe the other tables were for their "regulars". Other than that, the food and service were pretty good.
We had the most delicious gnocchi. They were light, favorable and the best I've had. My only issue was we were seated at a table right by the front door, on the kitchen side and every time the door opened it was cold. When we go again I would request sitting on the opposite side if it is during the winter months. Other than that, the service and food was outstanding. Can't wait to return.
Extremely rude hostess!!! She was not letting our party to sit and start ordering before everyone arrived. She made sure to remind us that we were 10 minutes late and we had 1 hour and 15 minutes to sit, order and eat. Very unwelcoming attitude. I was tempted to leave even before sitting. The waitress was totally opposite and did her best to recover the situation.
We were very satisfied with the experience- good food-good service-good people. The only minor issue was that the espresso for $3.50 was about one tablespoon, the server responded that the measure was correct, but she did give me a "double" (really????) at no additional charge because I questioned it.
The food (entrees) and the service were excellent! Brasciole special app was tough, but tasty. Dessert menu could use help. Server was new and she was spot on! Wasn't pleased with the blonde with the ipad literally leaning into our table (and others) looking to see how far along we were. It was really hot in the restaurant. Overall, a very good experience, and we will be back.
Second visit here. This is Italian-American done right. Think spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan. Nothing fancy. Simple and tasty. We went on Spaghetti and Meatball night so the dish was discounted and that's what we both ordered. Started with a caesar salad which was fresh tasting and just cheesy enough. Meatballs were among the best I've had, marinara was very tasty, spaghetti was good but a little over cooked. Be sure to sign up for their email list so you're made aware of their weeknight specials.
Second trip. This time for mom's birthday. We were seated immediately. Our server, Tiffany, was outstanding, interactive and genuine. She remembered us from out last visit. She could not have been more attentive. She made a great meal, and a great experience better. The specials are always worth considering.
Everything is fresh, flavorful, and will leaving you licking your plate and wanting more. It's NOT easy, but try to save room for dessert. A new favorite for us.
Food was excellent. Only a few minor things. My husband ordered Veal Parm and doesn't eat salad, didn't like soups. He also ordered Rigatoni Bolognese to eat with his veal and to take home. So we ended up paying $23 for one piece of veal. I felt the restaurant could have cut us a break on one or the other of the entrees. Server was good, seemed too busy toward the end. None of this would stop me from recommending or going back.
