Food was fabulous. Wait staff very courteous and knowledgeable about dishes on menu. Prices very reasonable. Decor pleasant. Will definitely will be back‼️
Very eclectic place. Limited menu that changes frequently. Innovative cuisine. Our meal was wonderful and I highly recommend the restaurant. My only gripe is a limited wine list with few, if any, truly quality wines.
The food was great, but everything else was a hot mess. If you want vibrant and chaotic, then this is a great place, if you want good service and a romantic atmosphere, go to the 1818
Food was very good, but also over priced. Menu very limited. No piano (only Sat & Sun). Man running the desk was off and on phone constantly next to our table. Server and bar tender were great.
We arrived and evidently the chef was training new help. As the kitchen is open we heard it all. First the waiter was apathetic at best in his lackadaisical approach. We ordered the drink on the special board outside and they were out of the spirit. No apologies. Second drink was hot. Ordered our food on limited menu, we had eaten here before and what we ordered today in no way resembled what we got last time , hence the opening of the review. We heard them saying all the problems they were having and the chef still served it to up. Our bill for two was $55 plus gratuity so $65 the food was horrible. How you can ruin French toast is beyond me but they did it was a wet horrible mess. We have been fasting and this was our splurge and I was so disappointed. Chef seems rather slovenly and doesn’t care. Oh and it asks for a tip for chef abd kitchen staff so o gave them $20 before meal. TERRIBLE!!! Do not patronize this horrible place. I’d rather eat fast food. It’s better and cheaper.
If you are looking for a different experience, classy but cozy, atmosphere and live music, this is the place. What a discovery! We wanted small plate type dining with drinks and music. We found it here. The piano playing was outstanding. The food and drink was superb. We could relax and be entertained. How wonderful. We even met the owners which was a treat. Thank you for the opportunity to be pampered and relaxed. Next time we are in town, we know where we are going!
Pricy, but so worth it. This upscale restaurant delivers all it promises with cool ambiance, great service, and delicious food. During covid, I just wish the servers wore masks, so if this matters, take note. No masks! The Friday evening piano player was fabulous, adding to the sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. We started with the scrumptious grit cake with braised beef; that dish should be expanded to an entree. Out of this world! Hubby had the flat iron steak dinner entree and I had the salmon with spring salad. Light and delicious, but if you expect hearty servings, this isn’t it. We had room for a shared dessert, berries and cream on a biscuit. Very good. We met the chef/owner wife and she’s adorable and she was wearing a mask! They’ll make a great go of this fancy pants restaurant. Just be prepared for a delicious upscale meal at an upscale price.
Some members of our party are picky eaters, so they didn’t enjoy the food as much as the rest of us.
Wonderful experience! Try the deviled eggs! Yum! Loved the atmosphere.
Friendly staff. I will be back!
We had been looking forward to trying this restaurant on our trip to Nashville, having know the original owner had a great reputation for her restaurants in San Francisco. Although she is now retired and a new couple have purchased the place, our evening was lovely. The menu , which varies weekly is limited, but had something for each of us. Turns out we enjoyed it so much we went back the next night and tried the other items on the menu. We especially loved the piano player who was fantastic. Overall, a great experience.
First visit and Madison did a great job guiding us. Food excellent. Piano very enjoyable.
Third time to visit The Kitchen. 2nd time for dinner, the other was Brunch. Had a great time. Had the same server, Madison, and she was awesome. We love being able to try different Menu items that we normally wouldn't.
Delicious food in a beautiful setting. We ordered the pasta, which was tasty although a little sticky. The seafood bowl was flavorful, but I would've liked more than 1 scallop in the bowl when the menu describes the item as including scallops.
Service was slow when we dined in on Thursday, 4/1. The restaurant was short-staffed, and the one server in the place was doing her very best. We enjoyed ourselves because we weren't in a rush, however some of the patrons weren't as understanding of the service issues.
Overall, we had a fantastic dinner and will go back.
Service staff no trained adequately. They did mot know the menu. Bartender needs improvement way too slow, did not know what a cosmopolitan is. Otherwise-food was excellent
Absolutely incredible food, watching the kitchen while the food was prepared was a really fun experience. The service was above & beyond. Can not recommend more highly. Will be back for sure!!!
Great food and music! More of an upscale restaurant, definitely not a dueling piano bar.
From beginning to end, the perfect meal & service. Freshest, creative preparations & proportions. Great Cocktail menu!!
It was our 35th anniversary and all I can say is Wow! Attention was paid to us for our special night and made us feel “special.” . The food was awesome! I cannot say enough good about the night.
Thank you Kitchen Bistro ❤️.
Had a great time at the Chefs table!!! Wonderful meal !
Atmosphere was fantastic for a long, leisurely dinner. While we had a snag with our dinner service-out of several menu items and then lost our order-all involved worked to make amends. I’m thinking that this is just post-COVID restrictions growing pains and the folks here will get things working well.
Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed our dinner so much, we returned for lunch the next day.
Chef Wayne’s Friday Lunch was great, a great atmosphere and great food, We will be back soon.
Food was great! It was really neat to walk through the Kitchen to get to our table.
Food was ok. Menu looked like it was designed by a ten year old boy. No vegetables, just meat and starch. Music was too loud for such a small place
Lunch was wonderful, We will be back soon
My husband and I were visiting from New Orleans and had brunch there this past Sunday. The shrimp and grits were delicious.
Compared to New Orleans there was great value with this meal. We had three coctails and two entree's for forty bucks!!
Will definitely return soon.
We were there on a very busy Saturday night with reservations. He had a nice table for two in the piano bar area and enjoyed both soft jazz and classics as well as up tempo tunes with prerecorded base and drum tracks to go along with the excellent piano playing.
The cocktails were great but the wine list was disappointing for such a nice restaurant. Our service was excellent as was the food. The food menu changes based on what's in season. We will definitely go back on our next trip to Natchez.
If you find yourself in Nachez, this is a great place to eat. Chef level food and 5 star ambiance with affordable prices located downtown.
My Experience was wonderful from The Chef Josh Harmon, to the Manager, Hostess and Bartender a great time was had by my friends and myself. The Nightly special was wonderful and we left full of some of the best food I’ve had in a While. A Must Do while in Natchez.
While the menu is limited, it changes every week, so there's always something new to try. It's a pleasure to visit a restaurant with an eye for an adult good time. Nice wine selection and delicious food!
The Kitchen is our favorite spot for dinner and drinks. Very elegant, wonderful wait staff and fabulous food.
Such a fun and wonderful experience. Food was divine and our seats at the chefs table proved an experience that will be hard to beat!
Menu was very very small for a valentines dinner night and no music band or piano player
The food was ok small
Portions for the cost.
Overall not great
Everything was absolutely perfect!
The food is excellent as well as the service!! We love to go here when in Natchez!
Amazing place, food, atmosphere and entertainment. Even rebooked for Brunch on Sunday. Definite destination stop!
Food is always outstanding here. I had the best shrimp creole I’ve ever had. Staff is friendly and music was great. My only suggestion wound be to always have a salad option- the Caesar salad is the best! Also a bread option. But this is very nit-picking. It’s an amazing restaurant and Natchez is lucky to have it.
Fig appetizer great - with a really delicious sauce but the small skillet arrived without a plate to eat it on.
The shrimp dish was good however the rice was overcooked.
The desert was left for wanting - they need a pastry chef!!! Immediately!
No bread on the tables and I thought that was a big miss especially since I would have loved some to clean up the sauces on the app and entre.
Service was slow but they were packed which I must admit - I was very, very glad to see.
Too many items on a Saturday night were 86 too early. Even the cocktails.
It's likely since they've been closed for a while, that they were not ready for the big crowd on Saturday - which is understandable.
You need a busser to turn the tables and prepare for the next sitting
You need a pastry chef
You need bread
We were very underwhelmed with the menu. Wasn’t exactly what we were expecting.
Everything we had was amazing and the people are awesome! We will definitely be going back.
