Lovely spot; they did a wonderful job for my dad's birthday. I can't wait to go back.
Food was good- we shared several small plates and all were very tasty! Also had dessert. It was a little more expensive - especially the wine by the glass.
Thank you Chris
Love this place, it’s at the top of our list of favorites
Service a bit slow. Food was exceptional. Bloody Mary unusual but delicious! Overall great experience.
Great for either business lunch or friends get together
Always great to come here. Service is excellent alongside great food
Loved it! Food and ambience was fantastic. Will definitely recommend.
Great food. Server got some items wrong but no problems really.
Thanksgiving menu had a vegetarian main dish option, which was delicious, as well as traditional turkey and cranberries. Desserts were also very good but we got ours to go as we were so full from dinner. Enjoyable holiday evening. Would recommend.
Great Thanksgiving Meal and wonderful ambience. Will come back.
Yummy Thanksgiving meal 😊
Great thanksgiving dinner
Great experience for Thanksgiving. It was pretty expensive for what we got with the Thanksgiving meal, but the food was excellent and service even better.
Great thanksgiving dinner with the family.
Food was great, one tip for the chef - warm the plates else the dinner is cold.
Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for family - grandparents, parents and three little girls 18 mos., 4 yrs. and 6 yrs. Everyone enjoyed the food, the service and the setting. Traditional turkey, stuffing, roast sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, preceded by a plate of prosciutto, burrata, gherkins, hummus, lavash., followed by pumpkin cheesecake and apple pie with ice cream.
We had a lovely multi course Thanksgiving dinner. It wasn’t crowded at all and we were seated at a table with plenty of room. Food was really delicious. Three of us are veggies and we had plenty to eat.
Dropped in on a whim, great time. Lovely waiter and staff. Great prix fixe menu and a la carte options. Enjoyed it.
We fortunately were at The Kitchen on a bad weather night, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It's a beautiful restaurant and the service and food were impeccable. Will return in nicer weather so as to appreciate what looked like an amazing river view.
Awesome Christmas decorations and beautiful view of the city and river. The food was good. Everyone at the party was happy!
A little loud for a lunch meeting. Brick walls don't help.
Walked here from the Art Institute for date night dinner. Delighted to arrive early evening and be seated at a table overlooking the river. The interior is also very pleasant. My husband enjoyed a juicy pork chop and the Brussels sprouts were perfect. I talked to the server about best options for my dietary restrictions and appreciated the recommendations of the lamb meatballs and smashed potatoes for my mains. Service was attentive, polite, helpful, essentially delightful. We will be back and we’ll bring our friends.
Fantastic meal. Beautiful location, attentive staff, and amazing food. Inventive preparations which really highlight the fresh ingredients.
So glad to hear ingredients are locally sourced and organic!
Loved the location and the ambience. My friends and I really enjoyed the food.
We all agreed that the food good but menu could improve. We love the setting and ambiance and decor.
Nice location and decor but disappointing experience due to poor food quality and bad service. I ordered pasta bolognese but there was hardly any pasta, just an excessive amount of sauce which by the way was more like a paste. My kids got brown rice as a side but it came out cold and hard. We asked for another side but since they have allergies the options were limited. They had “smashed potatoes” which they said was not like mashed potatoes at all so the kids asked if they could just whip it to make mashed potatoes. The server said that was not possible. I objected and said that I really struggle to understand how a large restaurant would not have a mixer or a whip to make mashed potatoes. The server insisted it was not possible so I had to ask to see the chef. He reluctantly agreed to make it. Overall very poor attitude. I should also say that the restaurant was less than half full so they were not particularly busy
Wonderful! Great fresh food. And the team is friendly.
Food was very good. Great view of the river. Our server was a little distant. He didn’t check in with us about our food during the meal.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing view. Waitstaff are really friendly! Food is great!
Great ambience. A good place for all occasions. Went for brunch on Sat. We all enjoyed the food. One disappointment was that there was not a lot of gluten free options.
Love the style of this restaurant and the waitress that we had was very accomodating. We were celebrating a birthday and the guest of honor felt very special. The bottomless Mimosas really topped off her celebration!! We will be back!
Love this place. Atmosphere, food, view, service, convenience. It’s got it all.
Service was very poor, server didn't come back at all for drink refills didn't check on us after meals delivered and getting check to pay was very slow.
Visiting Chicago again, we wanted to return to The Kitchen, as we had a terrific time back in March. The Server, she was very officious, just not into being friendly. We found the music very loud, to the point it was annoying. Food was very good as it was last time. Would I go back a 3rd time ? No, probably not. Because I just didn’t find it welcoming, like our first time.
Food and service were great! We arrived slightly early for our reservation at opening time and they let us right in. The homemade maple doughnut was incredible and mushroom toast- very good. We were not rushed and were able to plan the rest of our day after enjoying our meal. It was neat to see the bridges open for sailboats while were were sitting there too.
Had heard about this restaurant for quite some time and was excited about my first visit. Huge disappointment. Food was average at best and way over priced. The restaurant itself was nice, great casual place to sit with friends and have a bite. Unfortunately a $300(pre-tip) food bill for 4 was not in line with what we ate. Off my list
Great food & location
Birthday celebration- good food and service
