About this restaurant

Welcome to our famous wood panelled dining room where you can enjoy a variety of dishes, inspired by a love of modern British food, the menus are built with a unique variety using the best quality produce & ingredients, much of which is locally sourced.

Our Set menu menu is served Monday to Friday 12pm - 5pm with evening service from 6pm until 8.30pm and Saturday 12pm-2.30pm.
Our table D'hote is served Saturday between 6pm - 8.30pm. Our beautifully crafted A La Carte menu is served every day . Our famous Sunday lunch service is from 12pm-7pm..

We welcome children aged 5 and over.

For tables of 10 and over, we require a £10 per person non refundable deposit. Tables are only confirmed once the deposit has been received.

For tables over our festive period, we will require a deposit for tables over 6 people.

We will also only issue one bill on the evening for large parties.

Whilst we will do our best, we cannot guarantee a window table upon booking.

    Food was excellent absolutely delicious and very reasonable priced. Service was excellent . I have food allergies and I am celiac their understanding of allergies was superb and I felt safe eating here .The gluten free menu had a lot of dishes to choose from so I wasn’t limited. This was our 2 nd time here for a meal and each time both food and service has been superb I would definitely recommend a visit we’re definitely returning

    As a regular visitor to the Kingsway the standard of service was not as good as we usually find. We arrived 10 minutes early for our table and then waited 10 minutes before being asked if we required drinks. Once drinks where served we then waited another 25 minutes before my patience gave in and had to ask if we where going to be given menus. The staff did apologise and we where served drinks on the house at our table.

    Arrived with my Husband for our 25th Wedding Anniversary , we had a warm welcome & directed to the waiting area were are drinks order was taken along with our food order from the set menu I was undecided on my main’s & the waitress highly recommended the beef bourguignon & I have to say it was a great choice , we were escorted to our table we both ordered 3 courses & they were all fabulous, the staff are very professional & attentive all in all a great experience & we shall be returning well done.

    Professional friendly service. Excellent food. Lovely surroundings. It was my 80th birthday so I had a cake which staff had added a bit of shushing making it superb. Would definitely recommend the Kingsway hotel . We will be back

    Food was good and cooked well. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable but the servers failed to clear away spilt salad from the table. Just attention to detail that's all. We will definitely go back though.

    Nice environment attentive staff good location but I was disappointed with the food, I ordered the fish pie which bizarrely was served without any vegetables. A helpful hint from the waitress would have helped otherwise fine.
