Very very excellent food and service!!
Food was good but really nothing to write home about for the price. Ambience was great.
Can't complain about the food, the service or the view! The Seared Tuna and the Campfire Trout were delicious. We shared the cauliflower app ($15!) and the brussel sprouts side ($9). Both were delightful. Our server Marielle was charming and thorough. The mixed drinks, however, were lacking. I asked for a standard margarita and it tasted like lemonade. Then I ordered a dark and stormy...and got a light rum mule. I spoke to the bartender on the way out and learned that the mule mix-up was a miscommunication. If you are straying from the specialty cocktail list, be forewarned!
Both the food and service (Lisa) were excellent. However, our experience was marred by the fact that we were seated next to the door to the outside dining area. It was a cold night and the servers were very careless about closing the door enough to minimize the cold air coming to our table. Not only our table but, as we later found out, several other tables found it to be uncomfortably cold. We will come back, but either insist on being seated away from the door, or, if we are not seated away and it is cold, we will walk out.
Our first time at Kingstide--we loved it! For our Thanksgiving meal we just shared a selection from the "For the Table" portion of the menu. Perfect!
This has become our favorite go to restaurant. Excellent food and service. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a great experience.
Beautiful evening, sunset on the water, holiday lights, food, drinks, and service were excellent.
Dalton our server was terrific.
Getting reservations was awkward. This is the 2nd time I had difficulty.
We ordered buratta… realized we never received it. Not sure if We were charged.
I indicated we were celebrating birthdays. No mention of it.
Really nice server, delicious food in a lively space, what more do you want?
Overall, a solid meal for a reasonable price. The service was very good. Our favorites were the mussels and brownie sundaes. Both of our entrees just needed a bit more salt or flavoring.
Once again, an excellent evening with super delicious food, drink and service. Such a relaxing spot with an outstanding water view!
Excellent Gina is a great attentive manager! Dalton our server was super. After several meals lunch and dinner always the same high quality. Great job Indigo road!
Food and service were excellent. My only complaint is the layout could be a little better. While we were waiting for our table, we felt like we were in the way of the wait staff. There’s not an area that’s good for waiting. The bar in the back is small and has no sitting area. Even while standing there, you’re constantly in heavy foot traffic. I feel this restaurant is best suited for warm months when guests can be outside. But the food was so good, that we will definitely go back. We’ll just know where to stand so we’re out of the way.
Great restaurant and the fish and lobster were fresh and delicious. It is a bit pricey and the acoustics made it noisy inside. It is worth it when you are ready for a splurge! Also, the waterfront has a fountain that changes colors at night. It has a very pretty dock and children's park, too.
Kingside is a terrific spot. Service was great, food was great, had a wonderful time! We had a reservation; only issue was when we were seated in a booth, we requested a table by the window. This seemed like a big deal for the staff to deal with for a few minutes. Ultimately we were seated and all good!
We just back home to SC so this was a much needed date night and celebratory dinner ! The food, ambience, service, and views were all extraordinary!
Wonderful wait staff. Dining room is noisy when the restaurant is full. We continue to have a wonderful time and experience with each visit.
Great evening with out of town friends. The food was delicious and different and the service was wonderful
The food was delicious as always!
Went to dinner with friends on a Wednesday evening and were somewhat skeptical given some of the recent reviews. Once we entered, we checked in at the hostess desk and went upstairs for a drink from the bar before our friends arrived. The service was quick and the drinks were very good. Front desk texted me when table was ready, which was within 10 minutes of our reservation time.
Ambience of the main dining room is excellent. Nice view of the kitchen, plus good water views (from inside) and the tables/booths were well spread out so you don't feel cramped of jammed in. Ordered Mussels, Brussel sprouts and Calamari for appetizers...they accidently delivered a cauliflower app as well, so we had that in addition. All 4 were excellent! The flavors jumped off the plates...It was a lot of food to start our meal, but it was so good we ate every single bite. For dinner, 2 of us had the Lobster Agnolotti, 1 had Seared Tuna and 1 had a Lobster Roll.
The Seared tuna was nicely cooked rare and the quality of the tuna was superb as it melted in your mouth like a high end sushi restaurant, combined with wonderful flavors from the bok choy. The lobster roll was good sized, full of lobster and delicious. The Lobster Agnolotti says its in a "shellfish sauce", which didn't sound so appealing, however our server, Noah (who by the way totally rocked it. He was friendly, attentive and very helpful - perfect service all around) checked with the kitchen and got us a better description of a red sauce (not marinara btw) with various spices, carrots, etc. that was extremely tasty and complimentary to the lobster pasta. We all loved our respective dishes and will most definitely be back...and we'll ask for Noah as well!
We took friends. Too noisy side to hear normal conversations conversation. Lobster was terrible. Some left food as inedible. Staff wheeled portable heaters to keep us warm. Very thoughtful. View was great. Waiters were very helpful, wish food was better.
It was our 1 year anniversary and Lindsey was our server. She was prompt, kind, attentive, but not overbearing, an absolute delight and made the experience 5 stars. Food was paced well, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Trout was outstanding as well as the Brussels. Dessert was ok. We got the brownie Sunday and honestly nothing special but still good. We’ll return if given the chance.
We sat outside. A bit cool but heaters provided and the atmosphere was second to none. This was our second time at the restaurant, we have been to the rooftop bar a dozen times. The food has always just been OK. I had Tuna and it was fair. The menu is small so your choices are limited. I get it but I don’t like it. There is a far better choice just up the street it’s just hard to pass on the ambiance at the Tide.
Beautifully decorated restaurant. The service is outstanding & the food is delicious! Highly recommend this place!
Well you can’t beat the location on the waterfront but you can beat the food. Tried a number of menu items and frankly just not enough flavors. Definitely shouldn’t go here if you are going to have a steak. It was very bland and just a little too much charcoal tasting for my wife and I do happen to agree. Swordfish special was okay and the salads are very ordinary. Given the location and quality of service you would just expect Kingstide to be so much better when it comes to their food. Too many other great choices around to make Kingstide a personal top choice.
Another amazing meal at Kingstide! We enjoyed the tuna tartare, the swordfish nightly seafood special and the trout. All amazing! Oh, and the squash appetizer was perfect for a chilly fall night!
very salty lobster roll, and they mixed up our dinners with appetizers..
had reservation for 7 pm for 4, inside. table not available when we arrived. Waited 20 minutes and accepted table on patio which worked out fine but should not had to be delayed.
Food, service, and ambiance was excellent. Our server Dalton was great! All his recommendations were on point and he made our dining experience great.
It was great! Tasty and beautifully presented plates. The tuna tartare is very good. The fish of the day was swordfish and it was excellent. The campfire trout was good, not spectacular. They had a good selection of oysters, fresh and cleanly shucked. Cocktails were good too! Can’t wait to go back and try more food!
Great date night dinner! Exceptional waitress!
Our second experience at Kingstide was just as great as the first! The food is fantastic, the service is very professional and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. Do yourself a favor and have the crab rice. It was excellent!! The Brussels sprouts were fantastic! The lobster agnolotti was sublime. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner and will be back soon!
Lindsay was amazing! Great food and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The oysters Rockefeller were not warm, but the flavors were good. Other than that the food was wonderful!
Great food, loud and pricey
A bit pricey for food and wine. Nothing special except the desserts.
Our waitress was very helpful without being intrusive. Sitting outside on the porch was perfect!
Outstanding experience overall.
Everyone enjoyed their meal and service was great.
A beautiful location with nice water views.
Will definitely return.
Beautiful lowcountry setting, interesting menu and delicious food.
