A great night. Outside dining was superb and great ambiance. Inside is a little too noisy. Our server was excellent!
Jaclyn, our waitress, went above and beyond to help us celebrate a few birthdays with friends. Fabulous, delicious dinner!
One of the best meals I have had in Charleston, hands down.
Setting beautiful David was very good catered to us made by girlfriend birthday a pleasant experience
Beautiful restaurant! Service was outstanding. Loved being near the water and very impressed with Daniel Island. The Lowtide tower was awesome and seafood chowder delicious.
I’m kicking myself for not taking photos. Benji was the best server, and he had some sweet Doc Martens on too. We started with octopus, which was perfectly grilled and not overdone. My date had the pub steak med rare with frites, which he inhaled. I had the tuna med rare with bok choi, which was the best tuna I’ve had locally. The view was outstanding! We were seated inside, but next time will request outdoors. Ambience was perfect - not too loud, but great energy. Took a romantic little walk afterwards. What a great location for a restaurant. We can’t wait to come back! We’ll be sure to request Benji!
It was a wonderful atmosphere with delicious food. We came for our anniversary and they gave us each a glass of champagne in celebration. The waiter really paid attention to detail and provided outstanding service.
Make a reservation - early! This place is hopping, no doubt due to the lovely, clean, modern, spacious interior and decor, and the waterfront setting. We all loved our entrees - a trout dish, 2 mahi mahis, and a steak frites, plus hush puppies & calamari appetizers. Servings were a bit on the smaller side but the quality was outstanding. Loved the bourbon blood orange cocktail I had in the upstairs porch bar too, and the key lime pie was fantastic - that meringue! Our server brought me a little brownie ice cream confetti dish for my birthday which was thoughtful. (It was the ONLY item all night that was bland and lacking in flavor, but I understand - why give away the good desserts?)
I do hope they are successful with their staffing problems, because this place is a winner!
Our first dining experience with Kingstide was a winner and we will be back. The service was the best COVID era service we have experienced. Reminiscent of the pre-Covid days. The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations when we first looked at their menu on line.. cocktails were great. The hushpuppies, tuna tartar, oysters Rockefeller, and campfire trout were delicious and are definitely repeats. The inside ambiance was rather noisy since it was all interior hard scape with nothing to absorb the sound. They have both downstairs and upstairs outside porch seating overlooking the river. The downstairs porch has a roof overhang. Weather permitting, we’ll try outside next time.
Steak was delicious, but portions were small. Restaurant was out of one of the drinks featured on their menu (they were out of it at the upstairs bar 2 days ago as well). Our waiter was very friendly and professional.
Love this restaurant. Food snd service both top rate. Only reason I did not give it 5stars is the two top tables are a little too small for comfortable dining.
The food as usual was outstanding. Our server, Rena, was attentive and helpful. Always a delight. One of our favorites.
We had oysters on the half shell, oysters Rockefeller, and hush puppies at the rooftop. All excellent! Great service! We ate in the dining room later. We had the octopus and crab fried rice for starters. Both were so delicious. My husband had the lobster roll and I had the lobster pasta. They were both very good. Wonderful atmosphere and great service. We will be back! Totally recommend this place!
We love the atmosphere and the food. However service definitely needs work. We received our appetizers came very quickly but there was a significant lag until we got our entrees. Our server was very apologetic and the manger actually delivered our meals with an apology. There was an offer for drinks, but we declined as we had a bit of a ride home.
First time there and have not one complaint. Service was impeccable and food was very tasty. Will definitely be back!
Nice experience, plenty of great choices, well chosen wines by the glass, fun cocktails, clean fresh seafood and decadent dessert. Sat outside, weather was beautiful.
Tasty food & charming ambiance w waterfront views.
Fun and very attentive service. Food and drinks were very good.
Noisy nothing to absorb the sound
Food & service outstanding
Wonderful views, our server (Ryan) was very attentive. The food was outstanding
Fantastic evening dining at Kingstide. I'm sorry to say I do not have the name of our waitress as I would give her public kudos. Her level of service and lovely personality made the experience even better than imagined. Highly recommend!
So happy we got to try this restaurant while visiting the area. It came recommended and did not disappoint. Our server was wonderful and gave us great recommendations as to what to order and all was excellent. Great ambiance inside, would loved to have sat outside but the weather had other ideas for us this particular evening. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Went here for my birthday. Had the absolute best waiter who made the day very special. Not only this but food was phenomenal everything from the apps to the delicious deserts. Definitely will be coming back
My second visit to Kingtide and it was amazing. Celebrating my birthday and anniversary so it was a special occasion meal. Ordered the octopus, brussel sprouts, trout and lobster ravioli, all were scrumptious! What really stood out was our server, Benji, who was excellent! Thank you !
Menu odd. Many items taken off Oak menu. Chowder ruined because too spicy.
Excellent consideration for celiacs and those with gluten sensitivities! The waiter and kitchen was very conscientious when it came to cross contamination and it made for an excellent experience on top of the great food and incredible design!
The swordfish was outstanding. Loved the ambiance and service. Overall great experience. Started upstairs and finished in main dining room. Key lime pie was a nice finish.
Outstanding service, food and drinks! Best seafood in Charleston!
Love this restaurant! Great food, service and ambiance!
Delightful setting, delicious food, attentive staff.
The view is very nice. The noise level was higher than we enjoy. Our waiter / server ?? was excellent. the food ?? Sort of limited choice, my wife's lobster ravioli was disappointing my swordfish was outstanding.
A pricy establishment.
I would go back
Ryan, our waiter, was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly - Gina, the manager, was equally professional and wanted to ensure we enjoyed our experience- which we did - we’ll be back!
Excellent waiter who provided great service on our anniversary. Girls at front could use some training on greeting guests. Food was very good, served hot. Would have liked an additional non seafood entree, perhaps a chicken dish to choose from for main course. Ambiance was great. Drinks great. We will return.
Food was terrible. Hostess was inhospitable. Way over priced considering the food quality
Amazing view ! Beautiful restaurant and very clean well
Maintained. Food was above expectations and wanted to try more. Portions perfect. Loved it will be back.
We enjoyed dinner. Server was outstanding and met or exceeded our expectations.
It was my birthday and ever since my company installed the hoods here, I’ve been dying to visit this location! So this was the perfect occasion. Carline (misspelled?) was excellent. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items and even offered suggestions. The food was phenomenal and the view was beautiful. The whole experience was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
Had the swordfish special and it was delicious. Decor is pretty plain and good for casual dining, and quite noisy inside. Service was excellent.
Fantastic food and service and atmosphere. They made the patio very comfortable with fans and the view was amazing!
It is a lovely restaurant and the food was very good, it is somewhat overpriced for what you are getting even as far as Charleston prices go. The lobster pasta which was 8 pieces with not a lot of lobster was $28, for that price it should have been filled with lobster
