The King's Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Very good but they had run out of the white meat chicken which was a bummer for two people in my group. Cappuccino machine was down as well. Dinner and desserts were high quality and very tasty. Always a positive experience at Kings Kitchen and no one was disappointed.
Great Southern cooking supporting a great mission. Everyone in our group enjoyed their dishes. The waitress was very helpful, even "reserving" the last rib dinner for my wife. I usually get the fried chicken or pork chop. However, I love the sides as much as the entrée. I don't think we have ever been disappointed with a meal here, other than not getting a reservation when we wanted it. Sometimes, the service is a little off, but no big disappointments there either.
I stumbled upon Kings Kitchen when I was trying to find a place to take my mom for a nice dinner before going to the opera. WOW!! It was the best meal I've had in a very long time. Everything was just perfect. The food was amazing, the service fabulous, and the atmosphere relaxed. Most of all, I love the work they do for the community. It was so refreshing to go for a nice meal where it is evident that Jesus is everywhere!! Well done good and faithful servant.
Had a nice time at the King's Kitchen made reservations for Valentine's Day so we were quickly seated the only reason I didn't give 5 stars because I feel like the service needs a little work. We were seated but no one came to take our order for about 20 to 25 minutes. The food was definitely delicious the biscuit I had was good but kind of hard in some places, my boyfriend enjoyed his shrimp and grits and also some of my pan fried chicken that I let him try. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will come back again.
Great food but the menu is difficult if you are not a chef. I was on a low carb diet (which I told my waitress in advance) and couldn't eat a third of my meal because I didn't know that farro was a carb. The Salmon was a little dry but still good. The brussel sprouts were just ok. My wife was very happy with her meal and said it was the best collard greens she ever had.
I invited (3) people who had never eaten at Kings Kitchen - they loved it. Consistently great food & service. Daniello (not sure how to spell his name?) was attentive but not overbearing...wondering, pleasant service; delicious food. We enjoyed every moment of our time together at Kings Kitchen.
From the moment we were greeted to the time the bill was paid, it was a wonderful experience.
We weren’t rushed to decide on appetizers. Pimento cheese and hush puppies were spot on. Then made the decision for dinner. My scallops over purée of celery root and carrots were delectable. The other 3 at the table loved their meals, too.
I look forward to going back soon!
The whole month message behind the restaurant was what made it so appealing to me and my boyfriend. We were traveling, and happened to stay a night in downtown Charlotte. The menu was really small, which was the only thing I was disappointed about. We don’t drink but the wine menu seemed 3x as long. Besides that, the atmosphere and the message behind the restaurant was great.
My husband and I read about The King's Kitchen in a magazine a while back, and were excited when we realized we could try it out while in Charlotte on business. The food was terrific. I had the fried catfish (best I've had in a long time!) and he had the shrimp 'n grits. We enjoyed the ambiance and the service was perfect. And we appreciate The King's Kitchen's mission/ministry. Give it a try!
Meal is always good at King’s Kitchen with a fair, not over abundant portion. Always enjoy the pot roast and chicken plates with their delicious variety of sides. Brownie sundae dessert was disappointing as it was a small brownie with a scoop of ice cream- description versus what was received was different. Other than that, I believe in King’s Kitchen’s mission and appreciative for a nice dining experience.
It was a great night out with my girlfriend, it was our anniversary and we decided to celebrate at King's Kitchen, we loved the mission and truly enjoyed our food. Felt like for the price point we had a great value. She loved the pot roast and how much food came with it for $18 was great, definitely will be coming back!
We had an amazing private room up front for 8 of us. They accommodated the kids and we had a blast. Our waiter was amazing! The food was incredible! Clean plates all around. Shrimp and grits was delicious, as was pot roast. Wish I could remember waiter’s name. Y’all... go here! Ask for the tall black dude with glasses that dresses so GQ... Jerome maybe. He was hysterical!
We’ve been dining at KIng’s Kitchen for several years. One of our favorite places! Great comfort food. Great service. Great mission. Everyone should eat at KK at least once to support for their mission. Oh by the way, order the bread pudding desert - it’s fabulous.
