Food and experience were excellent.
This is a fantastic place to eat and it supports a great cause. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable.
Amazing fried oysters! All the sides we had were great especially the mashed taters and gravy. The fried chicken was good but not great. Our server was excellent.
Nice quiet eatery with great food. Would recommend for a nice date night
Great food, great service, great experience. Really glad KK is open.
You are going to love this place. Read up on their mission statement and their community outreach vision. The food is excellent , the staff is perfectly attentive without being interruptive. Multiple visits have proven this to be true with every visit. You MUST dine here then tell your friends.
The food was delicious and the restaurant has a really good atmosphere and service we just didn’t like how we were sat near a group they were pretty loud we were there on a date and had to yell to hear in another but overall I enjoyed my experience here. And they guy at the front entrance was super nice as was our waitress
Great as always. Thank you ,Jim Noble
So glad one of my favorite places has reopened from pandemic closure! All items are a la carte now; no more meat-and three. This time the pot roast and fried chicken were superb, and collards were perfectly seasoned. Sharing 2 veggies with my spouse allowed us to have room for dessert; coconut cake was sort of a cross between coconut and dulce de leche, and the in-house peach gelato was smooth and creamy. You'll enjoy the friendly faces and great service as well!
We love this restaurant and will be back again!
We were disappointed that they ran out of fried chicken. I had the pot roast which was excellent!
We loved their desserts too. Will return the next time we're in Charlotte!
Poor service. The acoustics was terrible. I could not hear the person next to me everyone had to shout which made it worse
Kristin was our waitress, and was very attentive and helpful.
Two of us had the shrimp and grits and the other had scallops. Everything was excellent.
Our server, Angela, took good care of us. All the staff were friendly and professional. Food was tasty.
Our server was very kind. Tomato bisque was outstanding with the right touch of goat cheese. Spinach for the salad was fresh. Shrimp & grits nice and spicy and abundant portion.
Food and service were excellent. Would definitely recommend. Was a little disappointed in the small servings, especially my salmon. Very small cut. Would also recommend to turn music down. It was hard to even talk with the folks across the table.
The food, service and hospitality was excellent. The outside construction changed the entrance, but the taste was worth coming in the side door. On a personal note, I asked for a medium burger and to my surprise it was actually prepared picture perfect medium. Would definitely recommend and revisit.
Excellent food and service. Our waiter Drew was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Our entire party were happy with all aspects of the visit. Check out the pot roast....just amazing! Will definitely visit again.
Outstanding food. Wonderful attentive staff. Great location. Definitely a MUST when downtown.
What we didn't know when we chose The King's Kitchen is that they have a mission of helping the homeless. That made our delicious meal even more enjoyable. Their food is classic southern with a twist, and their heart is for those less fortunate. It's worth a visit on both accounts!
Great dating spot. Highly recommended! Will definately be coming back soon!
The staff is so professional and friendly and the food is delicious! We love supporting the special place!
Good food, friendly staff, we enjoyed our meal. They are also known as a place that gives people who have been homeless a chance to earn a living and right their lives. Definitely a good cause!
Great service and meal
Food was great. I enjoyed everything about the environment
Food was incredible! We’ll definitely return!
Took my out of town colleagues for dinner this week. They are “foodies” and all had great things to say. Food is always great, wait staff knowledgeable and attentive.
First time visiting and very much enjoyed it. Food was plentiful and flavorful, and our service from Patrick was excellent!
We love this restaurant, especially their history and mission statement. It’s also an amazing value for the gourmet element. There are tons of choices downtown, but we choose to come back over and over...
I was taking my Mother out for dinner, and we ordered our food. Just as soon as the waitress walked away, it came. I was disappointed that nothing was cooked to order. I had the fried chicken and it just didn’t seem hot and crispy as it should have been. It was heat lamp warm, as were the sides. The biscuit appeared to be something out of the frozen food section of the grocery store. The service was very good though, people were very nice.
The service was amazing and I love their mission! The food was good, but a little salty. I ordered the chicken and it was mediocre for fried chicken. I will definitely go back because other things I had were delicious
Fried mussels are the best!! Had the fried chicken, slaw, mac and cheese and salad. All were excellent. I wish I would have saved room for dessert as they looked excellent!!!
The food was ok. Nothing super great though. I probably won't return.
The food was incredible comfort food. The staff were attentive and kind. It was the meal I needed.
The food was not what we would have expected. It was also being remodeled inside so it didn't look great. We also were unaware they only served beer and wine while we were out for a friend's birthday. Service was just okay. Probably won't be going back.
The food was fantastic and the service was great. I love their mission and will definitely return. Highly recommend!
The food was too good! My husband and I both ate way more than we needed to or should have. The veggies were amazing as were the oysters and pimento cheese. Definitely worth a visit!
Once again King’s Kitchen did not disappoint. If you like great home cooking, this is the best place. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.
Absolutely amazing dinner. The food was some of the best I have ever eaten!
The King's Kitchen was a last minute find when the intended restaurant me and friends were headed to was packed on a Saturday night. But it was the best place we could've picked! It was southern cuisine with an upscale flare. And with a picky eater in our group, it was nice to impress them with the options. We had the salmon dish with collard greens, the scallops with mac and cheese, and the fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely amazing! The service was also impeccable. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, and made a lot of recommendations, and the food arrived fairly quickly considering what we ordered. And if you like an adult bevie, the wine selection was pretty expansive. It was just an overall great dining experience!!! Would highly suggest for anyone living or visiting the city!
