   Service was good but food a bit slow in arriving. But it was a busy Friday night. Weekend menu a good deal.

   We enjoyed another excellent roast beef dinner last Sunday . Would also recommend the mini desserts. The service was very friendly and enhanced the occasion. It won't be long before The Kings Head sees us again.

   We visited this pub on Thursday evening, 10th August, for a meal with family and friends, who were all in Wellesbourne for a friend's wedding. Our booking was for 7.15pm. After a very very long wait, our starters eventually arrived at 8.35, and our main course at 8.55pm. Our group consisted of 5 adults and 3 young children, so by the time the food arrived, it was time the children were in bed, and the rest of the group wanted to get back to our hotel to join the other wedding guests. The blame for this was not with the staff working in the pub that night. ...The two young waitresses were running back and forth taking food to customers, and were both very polite and very apologetic about the delay. Management should have found some incentive to get more staff in that night, to serve all the customers. We'd booked in advance, we hadn't just walked in off the street, ( as had our friends who had a 6.30 booking, and suffered a similar delay). We were given discount off our bill when we complained, and the food was very nice, but the wait was unacceptable, and the pressure put on the waitresses should have earned them both a pay rise. I'm sorry, but until staffing is sorted out, I won't recommend The Kings Head to anyone.

   Very friendly efficient service. The food is good, especially the Sunday roasts.
