   Great Sunday roast! Dog friendly too. Lovely pub in the Holt countryside. Highly recommend.

   Beautiful old inn next to the main road to Cromer with a lovely garden. Food was nice, above average but I did ask for rare to medium rare beef and it came more medium to well. Nice selection of veg, Yorkshire puddings a bit deflated but overall a decent roast lunch. The shoulder of lamb was 60% fat /40% meat .. would have expected more meat and less fat but it was ok.. just not amazing. Service not that great… waited 5mins from when food was served to condiment’s arriving but only two ladies working a busy restaurant. For the price point I guess we had higher expectation’s . We were expecting to be overwhelmed but left decidedly underwhelmed.. not sure we would return

   Over the years this has been our go to place when visiting Holt. I’m sorry to say this time we were disappointed. The main courses were so expensive. My chicken supreme was a small breast of chicken, dry, no sauce and cost £23. On top of this I was advised to add potatoes and a veg bringing the cost of the dish to over £30. Having had three courses I left hungry and ripped off. My family had the specials, a thin, over cooked piece of fish with 4 pieces of asparagus costing £30 no potatoes or veg. Staff and setting though are wonderful. I do hope they see sense soon and start serving decent food again as I really do love this place.

   Delicious food - will certainly return! Service was great too - Kelly and Emily were both efficient and attentive 😊

   We managed to arrange a last minute table on Easter Sunday and totally loved this place. The food was extremely high quality and great value. Staff were attentive and we even ended up staying for a charity quiz after dinner.

   We both thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday roast dinner and is probably the best roast we have experienced for a long time. It was generous, hot and really tasty. The roast potatoes were five star and the both the beef and pork were tender and delicious.

   We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Kings Head. The staff very extremely friendly and helpful, accommodating our very large dog. The food was excellent and up to the standard we have experienced on previous occasions. We look forward to our next visit.

    I had the cheese cranberry and vegetable pie which was very disappointing. The tenderstem broccoli with garlic and chilli as a side was good. I liked that I was offered peas instead of cabbage which I appreciated but they were hard. Being English I didn’t complain! Other people enjoyed their meals but I don’t think the food matched the price but others enjoyed their meals but I wouldn’t say they stood out. That said the pub is lovely characterful and spacious and service very good, friendly and helpful.
