The stately looking former manor house, is set back from the road in acres of grounds surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Our Restaurant offers an unforgettable dinning experience alongside a traditional bar and large garden area. Our Head Chef's seasonal menu draws on the rich Norfolk larder of produce, much of it sourced on the doorstep, like Brancaster molluscs and local farm reared meats using innovative and modern cooking techniques. During the summer holidays the outside bar and kitchen is in full swing from noon til late. The pub warmly welcomes families and children have their own menu and the safe, enclosed garden and play area is perfect for youngsters to let off steam. The 4 guest bedrooms offer stylish relaxing ensuite accommodation, perfect for a special getaway, overnight stay or weekend break (dog friendly).

We really enjoyed our visit to the Kings Head. Very friendly surroundings, and were able to accommodate our large dog. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. We look forward to our next visit.

We have never been disappointed with our eating experience at the King’s Head, from our welcome when arriving, the table we are given (which also takes into account our accompanying two dogs), the excellent food and service, the warmth of the log burner at the times of year it is needed and general ambience.

A good atmosphere with friendly and helpful service. Meal was only average at best and overpriced for what it was. The 10% added to the bill for 'service ' with no mention of it was not appreciated. Will not be returning as I can get similar standards for cheaper at lots of other places.

Our family ate at the Kings Head on a Saturday evening and also the following day for breakfast. We all had fantastic meals and the service from all staff was very friendly and first class.

Service without a smile …mayonnaise mixed with tartare sauce for fish & cold coffee. They did take the coffee off the bill but very disappointing!!

Great service , very friendly and attentive, lovely atmosphere. Felt very spacious without losing the cosy comfortable ambience. Food was very good and the large garden is beautiful and great for kids . Dog formerly too and we all had a great evening, would thoroughly recommend the Kings Head .

Food was excellent. I had the special which was pan fried Sea Bream, with caper crushed potatoes and green vegetables while my son had the bacon cheeseburger with skin on fries plus coleslaw. The balance of flavours with both dishes was very good. For dessert we both had white chocolate mousse with Norfolk strawberries and meringue which was also excellent.

I can only comment on Sunday lunch at the King's Head as we only have experience of this, hence the 4 star rating. Our Sunday lunch has always been very tasty and well presented. The only criticism I would make is that it sometimes could be a little hotter.
