   Very disappointing. They couldn’t get rid of us fast enough. The food was indifferent, and while affordable, certainly not cheap. But there was no ambience, and the service was really poor. I felt really unwelcome, and so did my companion. She has spent an entire career in hospitality. Her verdict? “I’d sack the lot of them.” I won’t be returning, and if any of my friends say they’re planning on dinner at the Kings Head, Brooke, I’ll do my best to dissuade them.

   Last minute booking as we were in the area, never been before and will definitely be back, the service from start to finish was very good, all serving staff were very attentive and the food was delicious 😋 I had the roast pork and my husband roast beef. Couldn't fault it.

   This review is given with the best intention this place should be on peoples go to list. Food and venue are excellent. We went for breakfast and it was well cooked quality ingredients, delicious. The pub has been refurbished beautifully with so many small details making it very special. However, in the words of my mother in law if you are in the hospitality business you need to be hospitable. There is very little warmth from the team, it is all rather clinical, all the right things are said but without real meaning. A small mix up in the drinks order left us feeling like we had wronged when in actual fact the server had got it wrong, no big deal to us but a very frosty response and no apology. I can't help but think that if there was genuine interest in the people dining then the place would be full, instead we were the only diners. So sad as the other key things, food and venue, are there to be taken advantage of.

   From the moment we sat down, our host was eager to ensure we enjoyed our meal. He needn't have worried. It was delicious, and good value. he even offered us tasters of wines before we decided which one to have. Excellent!

   This was my forth visit in the same number of months and each time the food has exceeded my expectations, the service impeccable and the attention to detail you couldn’t fault. Great value you money for local home grown food cooked to a very high standard.

   Food was great, service was excellent. As we arrived a large table was being served so a bit of a wait but the waitress did inform us just after we sat down that there would be a delay in getting food.

   First time and not disappointed. Food lovey, friendly staff and great table service, yes would definitely recommend

    When we arrived there was a party of people in the bar extremely loud. We announced our arrival and table booking and asked to sit somewhere quieter. The staff and owner were extremely apologetic and showed us to a quiet place and explained it was a special occasion party and that they would soon go the party room . Within half an hour they did retreat into their party room ….the staff were extremely attentive and the food was top class ,,,will definitely go again.
