   For of us Went for Sunday Roast. The beef, lamb and Pork was quite tough. no crackling served with the pork, and they were out of Yorkshire’s and Cauli cheese. Unfortunately, we Won’t be going there again anytime soon.

   Great Menu, we were in a party of 4 and we all enjoyed our choices. It was appreciated that we were told that they were short staffed but the delays were not that bad anyway.

   Excellent friendly and attentive staff with quick service considering it was a Friday lunch time. The food was very tasty, well presented and a good portion size (not too huge!) It was very busy and the noise levels were high!

   Lovely food and a great vegan menu. Friendly staff and very accommodating as they hadn’t actually received the booking from Open Table! Will definitely be going back

   Fantastic service and really nice staff. Food was superb and compliments to the chef. Will be going back soon

   Overall worth a visit for a lovely dining and bar experience. It was let down with poor service and lack of attentiveness. The initial table drinks order including water took far too long to arrive, even the olivee and starters beat them. Attentiveness throughout the main course was lacking and knowledge of menu was poor on ordering. There seemed to be low staff numbers with one waitress serving a large area on her own. As mentioned, worth a visit but make sure you're ready to intervene at the bar when it's your turn. The barman did not acknowledge the queue.

   All the courses were over cooked and lacked flavour. My ice cream desert turned up in a melted mess. service was quick and efficient but menu needs updating. Had better here in past. It’s a shame because it has a nice ambience but will be giving it a miss for a while.

    Sunday roast lunch on 29 July. Interior decor is nicely done, but the food was a great disappointment. I had roast pork, my partner had roast beef. The pork was OK, three small slices, not brilliant but acceptable, but the vegetables were unbelievably dreadful. The roast potatoes were white and soggy, the half parsnip equally so, and the cabbage was almost raw, more stalk than leaf. I asked for replacement potatoes, which were at least browned, but equally soggy, as if they'd been microwaved, not roasted. My partner's roast beef was also OK, not great, but same problems with the vegetables. Also, his plate of food was only lukewarm, almost cold. Regarding the drinks, my partner had asked for a large glass of dry house wine at £5.90. However, we were charged for the Pinot at £7.45. When we queried this with the waitress, she said the house wine wasn't dry, so she'd served the Pinot without any prior discussion or agreement. The service was acceptable, although we waited over 10 minutes for our first drink even though there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant, as we'd booked early at 12.15pm. We complained to the manager, who was apologetic and generous in the settlement of our bill. He offered a return meal, but we won't be going back. A roast dinner must be one of the easiest dishes to do well. It's hard to understand how this restaurant managed to get it so wrong.
