The Kings Arms lies deep in the heart of the East Devon countryside. We’re surrounded by wonderful local farmers and growers, and we aim to make the most of this by using locally-produced ingredients whenever possible. Our meat is sourced from our nearby family farm, and most of our fish is supplied by our very own fleet of fishing boats.

Here at the Kings Arms, we serve a varied, locally-sourced menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner all available in the bar, conservatory and outdoor terraces. We will happily accommodate different dietary requirements, with friendly and informal table service wherever you choose to sit.

The menu at the Kings Arms was very basic, the prawn linguine was the worst I've ever had, it was basically king prawns ( that were quite dry) on a bed of linguine ( no sauce) with a couple of whole garlic cloves thrown in for good measure!! for the price....what a rip off! Wouldn't go again!

The bar area smells of dog as there were a number of dogs in the bar but once you go into the dinning area all is well and the food is lovely. Would definitely go there again if I were in the area. Highly recommended.

Good menu but some of the food was indifferent.delicious arancini but fish disappointing. Service was so bad we felt we couldn’t leave a tip. Would not return.

A birthday lunch for a friend. We had a nice table in the quiet conservatory so were able to chat freely. The happy birthday notice on a little blackboard was a lovely touch. Friendly and helpful service. Excellent menu choices - especially liked the small meal options. 3 out of our 4 meals were excellent, sadly the small portion fish and chips wasn’t great. Unfortunately, the person who had this didn’t want to hold up our meal and so didn’t mention this until the end which meant the kitchen did not have the opportunity to rectify the problem. We had an enjoyable time together and would be happy to return.

Lovely meal with good friends as company. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. Staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable. We stayed here for 2 nights, eat at the restaurant both nights. Convenient and pleasant. Thank you

Excellent choices at the bar. Fantastic choices on the menu. I challenge anyone to find fault with the vast menu. The Venison and game stew with herb dumplings was outstanding. The fresh whole Red Mullet was beautiful. Well done everyone at the Kings Arms.

Friendly good humoured service and well cooked tasty food from a varied menu. Spacious pub with good selection of beers. Well worth a visit.

Roast Beef was very overdone so difficult to eat . Prawn cocktail consisted of tiny chewy prawns and watery sauce and a slice of white sliced stale bread Toast that accompanied the Chicken Liver Parfait was just awful white sliced bread and not toasted ! Cauliflower cheese was bought out with our starters . The rest of our roast was not too bad - tasty vegetables and gravy .
