   A great old English large Pub/Restaurant With good staff. Great atmosphere good food excellent Sunday roasts Nice large dining garden (Weather permitting) but plenty of room inside if not Very popular so book on weekends

   Saturday lunch with a friend. Restaurant was rather cold in temperature when we first arrived but improved as the place filled. Service was rapid and friendly. Food was decent pub fayre but not exceptional. Brownie for dessert tasted powdery and oversweet so did not finish. Would visit again.

   Great food as always. Very noisy but to be expected at this time of year as lots of groups. Disappointing veg ( storage selection and different to normal) with our roast but maybe getting low towards the end of the day on a Sunday.

   Just feel that it was not as good as usual and the Gents lavatory was not very pleasant.

   Very good food which is the most important thing. Service was efficient; the waiter steered us away front he house wine. I'm hoping it was an informed position and not trying to upsell, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. We went there for a weekday evening meal and it was mainly populated by an older clientele who seemed comfortable and were probably regulars which says a lot. Give it a go.

    Much enjoyed but so similar to all pibs of this genre. Food was good but not special. We had the Camembert starter that was so over priced that it ruined the value
