This is a nice neighborhood place with a limited bit imaginative and delicious menu. Sort of a forties atmosphere very conducive to cocktails.

Perennial Virant was a favorite brunch spot and I'm so glad the Kennison has not only measured up, but was also an upgrade. I have yet to come here for dinner, but if brunch was any indication of the food, I will definitely be back. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which were delicious, my friends ordered the ham and cheese biscuits and the french toast, both of which were extremely tasty as well. We started with the coffee cake which was a perfect sweet compliment to the savoriness of my meal. Jeffery was our server and he did a fantastic job with recommendations and attentiveness. In fact all of their staff was incredibly attentive. This is most certainly my new go to brunch spot and I can't wait to try them at dinner time!

Three of us had a great meal here on a recent Saturday night. Service was very good. Waiter a little new on drinks and wines but wine guy stepped in seamlessly. Major mystery was why so many empty tables. Deserves much better support.

Really disappointing particularly since it replaced a great restaurant (Perennial Virant)
Burrata was way overpriced and flavors did not work together- it had the poorest quality prosciutto I have ever tasted. Pastrami carrots were a good concept , but did not quite work and ultimately you are left with a dinner that is over 90% carrots. Pork collar was full of gristle and neither the Pork, the collard greens or polenta had much flavor. They have an understanding of food allergies but not particularly accommodating- leaving out ingredients without replacing them makes for mediocre dining. If you are staying at the hotel and it is cold and rainy, you can get something to eat , but I certainly would not make any effort to dine there again.

Lousy service. And they knew it. Food was very uneven. The duck was recommended. It was chewy and tasteless. Oh yeah. The service was lousy. Good took way too long to be served. No apologies.

The Kennison is the new restaurant on the ground floor of the Hotel Lincoln. Brunch menu was adventurous, Bloody Marys really good, pastries great, service exceptional. Unrushed. Valet parking option a plus.

Food was cold and the service very slow and unresponsive. Servers were friendly but could not deliver. Very loud due to a large party. Not pleasant and way too slow.

I was at Kennison the first week they opened and loved it then but we had an even better meal/experience last night. They added some new menu items (a new pasta our group loved), increased portion sizes, while keeping some of my personal favorites just as they were (mussels; you have to dip the bread they give you into the broth at the bottom and chicken entree are the best). Can’t wait to go back

Fabulous dining experience. Food terrific as well as service. Had a new seasonal special the white fish which was prepared different than other restaurants, risotto which was fabulous. In the past I had the short rips and their carrot dish which has a pastrami flavor! Can highly recommend this very comfortable restaurant.

Drinks too awhile, probably because the bar area was packed. Otherwise, food was extraordinary. Service was on point. We loved every recommendation she gave us. Looking forward to our next visit as there are several items I wish I had room for.

Food was a disappointment. Buratta salad had odd flavor and texture - didn't taste like traditional buratta cheese. Pork collar was served with smoked collard or kale which wasnt mentioned on menu. Im highly sensitive to smoked food (distaste) and the flavor overpowered the pork. Pork was dry. Service was spotty sprinkled with a bit of attitude - restaurant wasnt busy. Overall unmemorable experience.

We were seated on the quiet side of the restaurant, nice for the conversation, but there it feels more like a hotel diner than a nice restaurant. The waiter was very nice and chatty.
The food was excellent, quite sophisticated, but the portions on the small side, which is fine for those with a smaller appetite or wanting to have room for a 3 course meal.
Overall a good experience, I will likely return.

We had a fantastic brunch! Everything we ordered was delicious—biscuits, avo toast, farro salad, burger and omelet. Food was truly outstanding. The ambiance was great. Space is such an improvement and really beautifully done. Service was great. Unfortunately, I don’t live in Chicago or I would find myself a regular!

The sausage and biscuits were delicious. For a healthier option, you can opt for a light cauliflower, veggie omelette. It's a fun new restaurant for a date or brunch.

I have eaten at the Kennison three times now, and everything I've had has been outstanding. I loved the chicken with chicken sausage, and the vegetarian "pastrami on rye." Also one of the best Old Fashions I've had.

The cold subway-like decor and sub standard food would prevent me from ever returning to this restaurant. The fish I ordered was fishy smelling and so salty I sent it back. Tuna tartar mediocre and bland, I can make better tasting short rib at home, and have! Considering it is part of the Boka group, we were hopeful. Too many good restaurants in Chicago for this one to survive. Have a drink on the rooftop bar and head somewhere else for dinner!

With the favorable reviews of this relatively new restaurant, I expected more. The mussel appetizer was tasty enough, but really too small a portion to share but should've been larger at $17. My bass entree was a small portion without anything special or original. The cauliflower was raw , arrived cold & tasteless. I didn't have dessert.
