Kitchen was behind. Had a reservation for 7:30 and our order was not taken until 8:45. Got our food at 9;30 and left at 10 pm. And restaurant wasn’t even packed. There were open tables. Cleaner spilled water all over the place at table next to us. Very disappointing night.

a very nice restaurant! The food was immaculate! Not a lot of seafood options but I knew that going in. I got the shrimp and grits, and I will preface I'm not a big grits fan, but the sauce/soup the grits came in was delectable! Shrimp was seared amazingly. The only issue was there wasn’t enough shrimp and there was a lot more grits. Other than that all the food we got, bruschetta, chicken Parmesan, and pomme frites were a 10/10!

Overall, The Kennedy was pretty good. We had one member of our party that got a salad that shouldn't have been served. I'm not sure what happened but it was so bad he didn't eat it. I did see some pretty soggy croutons on it. The other 3 of us had no complaints. The crawfish and dumplings appetizer was just awesome. So, not 5 stars but still pretty good at 4 stars.

The Kennedy has a nice vibe , casual but upscale. Service was good, but cocktails were slow to come because bar was busy, but they were delicious.We had the Swangus smash burger that was not as good as a Burger King hamburger 😳, and the grain bowl without the broccolini because they were out of it. Food flavor was definitely not at the price point we paid. No need to go back !

For me, this is consistently the best food in Spartanburg. I love the vibe, and the food is delicious & creative. We expect enjoyment, and The Kennedy surpasses, serving delight. Splurge on the bruschetta to start and the carrot cake to end. A true foodie spot and favorite of mine. We’ll be back soon for another fantastic lunch date.

I’ve been to The Kennedy no less than a dozen times over the last several years and have always loved it. However, this experience was severely lacking. The service was very slow, took nearly 20 mins to just get a bottle of wine to the table. I was most disappointed in the amount of food per serving. I ordered the duck entree and was so shocked by the portion size. For $35 two very small slivers of duck breast with very light vegetables just isn’t cutting it. I left the meal hungry, a first for me at The Kennedy. I definitely understand inflation is making times tough for restaurants, but if you can’t afford a decent portion of an item it probably shouldn’t be on your menu.

Somewhat disappointed. The chicken parm came out with cold marinara. The special was pumpkin risotto that had no flavor, very bland, and came out 10 minutes after everything else. Not a great experience.

Beautiful intimate restaurant with stellar service and excellent food! Decor transforms what looks to be an old diner into a cozy Art Deco-influenced space with tons of character and luxurious ambience. I really do love this place. It’s always been a must for a date night or special occasion for me and my husband. This last time was sort of a let down. The food was great as always but I definitely felt it was super slow considering it wasn’t that busy. We were there for almost two hours which to me seemed a bit much. The main entree was “ok” and the fries were so short and overcooked I didn’t eat barely any of them. Almost every time we’ve been in the past I don’t have anything left on my plate. Our server tried her best but there was another issue when I asked for coffee and she brought us cava instead, and when we corrected it she still left the glasses on the table when we had no interest in drinking them. Eventually she came back for them but by then we were just about finished with our dessert. I think the Kennedy is a wonderful setting but this time from the food, to the music, and seating it wasn’t as enjoyable as we’ve experienced in the past.

The pimento cheese appetizer was the best food item all four of us tried. The chicken parm was tough and the cheese was cold. A cocktail was not prepared well the first time, second was better. The worse part of the evening was the water; he smelled strong of pot, didn't know what the fish of the day was much less what it compared to, was not any more help on the wines ... he wasn't new but he was awfully clueless.

It was an overnight in Spartanburg and had planned on some roof top place at the AC but it was closed. Reception recommended Kennedy and were pleasantly surprised. A bit dated but thoroughly enjoyed a bit of an eclectic menu. Sunday night and the place had quite a good crowd too. I’m thinking it was one of those places all the locals know about and enjoy for themselves. Give it a try.

We had the most amazing experience and meal last night. Great cocktails with the bartender staying at our table and chatting. We started with the Caprese Bruschetta which was amazing. One member of our party raved over the Duck Breast and the other two of us had the Pork Chop special with collards and black eyed peas….so good! Several members of the wait staff came by and even brought us 2 complimentary desserts, the carrot cake and chocolate spoon bread. So delicious! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back! Compliments to the chef and staff!

We have been to The Kennedy 4 times and it has always been wonderful. This time not so much. Upon arrival there were employees smoking in the parking lot and a black trash bag at the front door. We waited quite awhile to order. I think our server forgot about us. I finally had to wave her down. One of the cooks in the kitchen kept running his fingers through his hair. I ordered the chicken Parmesan as I always do. It was just okay this time. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and it was seriously the size of an appetizer. It took about an hour from when we got there to get our food. When we left there were more employees smoking in the parking lot. We won’t be back.
