We had made a reservation, however arrived about 30 minutes early. The hostess was very unfriendly and unhelpful. We decided to have a drink at the bar, not suggested by the hostess. Once we had our table we found the servers more welcoming then our experience walking in. Won’t rush back there any time soon. Not sure who if anyone actually reads these reviews. I would spend some time making sure the person that greets your customers has the proper training. Our experience was that she really couldn’t care if we stayed or left. Also our table was ready a few moments after sitting at the bar. When initially we were told we were early and our table would be ready at our reserved time. Maybe she could have checked first and at least made us feel welcome!
Really good services and perfect foods! We have a perfect Thanksgiving day! The ribs are recommended!
It was just ok...
-Prime rib slider buns were soggy & meat was lukewarm
- baked shrimp were super oily & we sent it back & ordered something else
-everything else was ok
i feel a little bit disappointed this time, a quite greasy of the calamari, and the entree came when we hadn't finished our appetizers
The Keg never disappoints! It was our 1st time out to dinner since COVID started and we were very impressed with the safety protocols in place and felt very safe. Thanks for a superb dining experience on our 15 year anniversary to all the staff at the Keg, Richmond South who hosted us that night.

The Keg is doing a great job with providing a safe dining experience while still maintaining the level of service you would expect from the Keg. We had an amazing meal and enjoyed a relaxing evening out!
Had a reservation at 6:15 for a party of 4, showed up and checked in at 6. Hostess said she will check on our table and asked us to wait outside. At 6:15 another party of 4 showed up, told the hostess they have a reservation at 6:15, and was seated within minutes. I asked the hostess why they got seated ahead of us and was told each reservation was “assigned a specific table”, finally seated after another 10 minutes. This system doesn’t make much sense. Was not happy my young children had to wait outside for almost half an hour while there was clearly an open table available for the same number of people.
The food was good the waiter wasn't very friendly. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, so that was nice.
Nothing was mentioned even though I put in the reservation.
Most all was just fine. There was p problem that the steak had a piece of thin sinue running through it. It caused a problem cutting the meat. I cut the meat thin,ate the meat around the sinue and then swallowed it.
Put it down to an unfortunate insidence.
Even though we had a reservation we and I noticed others had to wait for out table. I know that it’s not the restaurants fault as they are unable to judge how long the people before us will take to finish up their dinner.
Our waitress (Chrissy) was outstanding. The food was good but not as good as previous visits. Seems a bit pricey for quality.

What a lovely birthday dinner for my son. Everything was excellent right from when we arrived and waited to be seated. Our server was very attentive and personable. Food was delicious. Enjoyed the quietness of the restaurant. I certainly was a little surprised. As this was my first foray into restaurant dining since the covid 19 outbreak, it was a great experience. Thank you to all and we will return.

Our calamari starter was overcooked and so tough we couldn’t eat it all
We ordered prime rib dinner. The prime rib was OK, the au juis was not hot, the potato was OK, but mine was overcooked. The onion side was terrible, tasteless and very chewy/ tough.
The service was very good. The server was friendly and efficient. The food was not very good. We had chicken and halibut. They were both very dry. We had a hard time eating it. Won’t be coming back
I made reservations for a special occasion and noted it on our reservation. Nothing was said by our server. We were seated beside an empty booth that was set up as a cutlery station. Personally I think that is rude. When you make an effort to go out, especially during a pandemic, you expect to be treated a bit more special. At least the food was very good and arrived hot. We didn’t stay for dessert.
We find the food here is consistently good - always done to perfection.
Everything was great but our steaks were over cooked. 2/3 people asked for RARE steaks and it came out medium-medium rare. They also ran out of prime rib at 7pm.

We really enjoyed our time with the Keg. Breydan was an amazing waiter and made our experience enjoyable. The food was amazing and we were really full after leaving.
We love how "at home" you feel when you get there. Staff remember faces and even some, our names....Can't go wrong with the 8oz top sirloin, a glass of Jacob's Creek shiraz and of course we always have a billy miner pie to finish things off. We also like how the menu is consistent. We can always count on the Neptunes mushrooms and most things actually, tasting exactly as it did the last time and the times before that. Keep up the great work !!

The steak was too cooked outside (the entire steak looks black). Inside was ok.
Disappointed by quality and taste of food and drinks.
This is was the 4th visit where I have had to send my steak back more than once for incorrect cooking. After sending it back twice I lost my appetite and didn't end up eating dinner. My boyfriends meal got cold while waiting for my second stake. Waitress was super kind and helpful though. Just disappointing that I couldn't get the stake I wanted cooked properly.
The staff really seem to step up to the whole covid deal. Masks, frequent hand sanitizer applications and distanceing are all above reproach. Kodo's to the MGT team for as we all know, excellance, if demonstrated from above, always trickles down to the front line workers. Great staff always equates to great management.

We sat outside on the patio, the tables were spaced out during covid time. Really enjoyed their food and service.
We went out for our anniversary on Jul 25 - this review has no complaints about the server, she was really nice. The food we ordered was not good. We've gone to the Keg before many times and had no issues. I'm not sure if it's during the pandemic, the food quality goes down... hopefully not.
We ordered a 14 oz prime rib and a 8 oz top sirloin steak.
14oz prime rib came with double baked potato (very good) / the prime rib was lukewarm... within 5 minutes, the fat in the middle had already solidified on the bottom... I just cut the fat out from the middle and the outside layer, simply because it was inedible.
8oz top sirloin steak came with garlic mashed potato - the garlic mash was just overloaded with garlic... It was just too overpowering and it was just inedible, imagine eating a lemon and it makes your eye twitch cause its so sour. Same type of scenario with the garlic mash, my partner and I both squeamed after testing the garlic mash.
The 8oz top sirloin was also really rare - instead of medium rare. We already asked to change the garlic mash and the server accomodated which we appreciate. We don't really understand the tomato that's cut in half and mozzarella just topped onto it... It doesn't look appealing and it does not taste right, it just seems like the meal lacked any sense of care...
Hopefully they will be able to turn things around as the pandemic hopefully dies down... Stay safe everyone

Overall, a good experience. Steak was a little underdone, which made it a little tough. But good flavours!
Great service. Only downside was the Halibut entree was disappointing. Was overcooked and chewy. Eeek.

The KEG used to offer birthday cake but not this visit. I used the OpenTable app and made a note of "birthday dinner". Disappointed. Not recommended for special occasion.
Reservation time was accurately heeded, welcome & service was spot on. Pleasant, knowledgeable, and respected privacy too. Food was cooked to perfection and quantity was just right.
