The charcuterie board was great and the meals were both fabulous. We will be back
This was our second meal at The Keep while staying at the Hotel LeVeque. The bar is a great space and the restaurant is good as well. As I remembered it the menu was a bit more interesting the last visit, however in all fairness this could be a covid related issue. Food was good, though didn't impress as much as the first visit. Service was excellent and didn't hurry a dinner with friends in the area we hadn't seen for some time.
Everything went perfect. The steak frites was amazing, juicy and tender. The oysters from New Zealand were outstanding. We were so very happy to be back at this jewel in downtown Columbus.
Thank you so much! We truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we are doing. The Keep
Delicious meal – steak frites were perfection. Beautiful, perfect cocktails. Loved the gimlet and the French 75.
Thank you Krystan, We truly appreciate the feedback and you letting us know how we are doing. Kelley, The Keep
We’ve had better at The Keep. The drinks were good. I ordered the bourbon smash and my husband had A Martini on the rocks with blue cheese olives. The charcuterie plate had only four small round bread thins. It had two huge slabs of cheddar cheese, a very spicy brie, some goat cheese, nuts and prosciutto, I think. My steak frites was tasty but tough. My husband ordered the parpardalle primavera and he only ate part of it… Just didn’t hit the mark. We were hoping dessert would be a hit but that was just so so. We ordered the chocolate cake which had a filling of peanut butter and banana. The cake was very dense and really lacked any sense of chocolate. We came away very unimpressed. We will probably go back but it will be a while.
Food and service were good but not great. Some of the food was a little over priced for what you get
A great night out and great dinner. Was nice to be back at the Keep after COVID.
Food was very flavorful and enjoyable.
Will, our server was attentive and detailed. We needed nothing cause he paid attention to all our needs. The best service we have had at the Keep.
I thought the people at the keep were great. I just wasn’t thrilled by the food. I was disappointed you the size of the mushroom dumplings - “tiny” is the best word to describe them. But again the people working here at the keep were really great.
Good and drinks are also great! Love coming here for special occasions!
We throughly annoyed the experience! Ambiance, food quality and service were great !
I was not impressed by the overall experience that I was hoping for. The ambience was lackluster and the food was just okay. Not at all what I had envisioned for an anniversary dinner.
We both had the scallops and they were nice enough to come over and explain they were spicy, so they made one of them without the peppers
Hello LaurieK, we are delighted to hear about your experience. We hope to see you again soon. Kelley, The Keep
This was a birthday dinner .. we did not disclose that information until the end of the meal. Our server was amazing, Kaylie was attentive and informative. She was a delight and we will request her station whenever we return. Also, Tom .. the manager was equally pleasant. Both parties made frequent stops at the table to make sure everything was good. This was quite an excellent experience. Highly recommend the cheesecake as a dessert option ☺️
We had an early dinner, so it wasn't too busy. Our waiter was very helpful and personable. Our food and drink was very good and was served with enough time between courses to enjoy. The cheesecake we had for dessert was delicious! We will definitely return.
Wonderful service and such attention to detail. I would return.
Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance and staff. Main drawback is that there are no non-dairy options for dinner or brunch which I find surprising in 2021. Also I wish the kitchen staff interacted when you are sitting at the bar.
While a bit confusing to find The Keep on the mezzanine of the LeVeque tower, it is a pleasant venue. The service was great and the food was too. The meatloaf was clearly ground in house and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. We enjoyed the beignets as a light dessert.
From the time The Keep opened, we had wanted to give it a try. Sorry to report that we were disappointed. We had heard mixed reviews about the place and they were correct. Food was OK - Service was OK - Ambience was OK. Will we return? Probably, but only for drinks and apps.
Great atmosphere, great service, great food! Felt like I was at an upscale restaurant in 1940! Loved it
Delicious! I had the Reuben which is actually deep fried. I had a hard time imagining what it would be like when the waiter described it but turned out it was pretty amazing!
My partner had the burger special which was cheeseburger, french fries, and a beer for $14. Great quality food for a good price. Also, we shared the French onion soup as an appetizer and it was delicious. Not too salty, Just delicious flavor and high-quality ingredients. can’t wait to go back again.
It was our first time and everything was great! It was gorgeous and a unique experience. I didn’t give the food a 5, only because most of my salad was slimy lettuce and the steak my husband ordered was a little too rare. Other than that, the rest of the food was absolutely amazing and will be going back for sure.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at The Keep. We opted for a dinner of appetizers and enjoyed every one of them -- oysters -- 2 ways, shrimp cocktail, charcuterie plate, caesar salad. Cocktails were wonderful, too -- Raspberry Mule and a (very) Dirty Martini. We'll be back the next time we're in Columbus!
The wait staff was from Denny’s, maybe? I don’t know. We had to request a bucket for our wine. The charcuterie tray, half order, was pathetic. Costco? It was served cold, the cheeses unremarkable, as was the entire tray.
Marriott really needs to lease this space to a better restaurant.
Wasn’t overly impressed. Service was not very attentive. Pasta primavera wasn’t cooked completely. Very very adente!
I went here with my friends for my 25th birthday. The restaurant is beautiful! Very upscale and classy. Nice ambiance. The cocktails were good. I recommend the blueberry mojito. My food personally was just okay. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and the flavor was simply not there in the chicken or the sauce they put on it. I would absolutely go back and try something else. I had a bite of my friend’s scallops that she ordered and they were seasoned to perfection, so I know other menu items definitely have greater potential.
I took my mom and grandmother here for their Mother's day brunch. The special menu had good variety and the food was tasty but the service left a lot to be desired. They were short staffed, didn't seem prepared for the service, and were very slow with delivering drinks from the bar, etc. Overall not a bad experience, but I am not sure one I would choose again!
AMAZING Mother's Day Brunch Menu. Perfect way to end our overnight stay at the Leveque. The menu was great.
Mother's Day overnight stay with Dinnerat The Keep. Couldn't have asked for anything else, service was perfect, as were menu selections ...Will be back
Thank you so much! We are truly appreciative for the feedback. Kelley, The Keep
The food and atmosphere are amazing. Try the steak frites!
Thank you SarahS. We are thankful that you took the time to let us know how we are doing, Kelley, The Keep
The food was cold and seemed like it was days old/
Really enjoyed this dining experience and I would come back again. Tasty cocktails, great steak frites, and a delicious, tender pork handheld were highlights.
Thank you so much KayL. We are grateful for you feedback! Kelley, The Keep
We enjoyed our dinner here! The atmosphere was swanky without being stuffy, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Keri was a wonderful server! There was a wide variety of food to choose from, and we had many different plates to try things. I absolutely loved the reuben sandwich, but there was too much gooey bread/deep fried outside and not enough filling inside. It would have been a 5/5 dish if that was remedied :)
Thank you Jd36 for the feedback. We truly appreciate the kind words as well as the feedback on the food. I will ensure to share this with my team! Kelley, The Keep
Nice fancy place, i wouldnt say they have the best food in town but its really good.
One of the best meals we ever had! So worth visiting this hidden gem. The French Onion Soup, Steak Frites and Lemon Tart were beyond delicious and are highly recommended.
Thank you so much for the amazing feedback. We truly appreciate it and I cannot wait to share this with my team. We hope to see you back soon :) Kelley, The Keep
Season the food. Cheese and meat shouldn’t be your best menu item. I know people sometimes are kind of forced to eat there since it’s in the hotel but the menu is executed very poorly all around. I tried the pasta my fiancé ate and I felt bad for the person who made it. It was everything pasta shouldn’t be, over cooked, over sauced, and tasted like unseasoned cream, no bordelaise flavor, not even parm or pecorino flavor to try even add some Italian to it. Taste the food before sending it out. We cancelled reservations somewhere else to try the keep and it was the dumbest thing we’ve ever done. The pork belly needs to be fried also, you can’t do soft everything on a sandwich and expect it to taste dynamic. Season the slaw, season the aioli. Season everything please. For the people that stay there and want a decent meal, because you literally couldn’t pay me to eat there again. My fiancé and I just laughed and said hey they can’t all be winners. It was top 5 worst cocktails and food I’ve ever paid for in my life. And that’s hard to do. You almost had to try to not make anything good. Besides the charcuterie, which you can’t really even take that much credit for.
Location is great and food was well presented. However, service was lacking.
Normally this is a great go place. We went during a special occasion/holiday: Easter. The only meal offered was a pre made family style easter meal wish was "ok". The flavor was pretty good but the selection and temperature were both lukewarm. The service is normally excellent and this time is was acceptable. Maybe this staff was not the standard evening high volume staff. Normally this place is a pretty good go to. Next time I will read the fine print.
Wonderful Easter dinner and great service. Will definitely be back!
Thank you so much MaryH. We truly appreciate it and happy you enjoyed the Easter Dinner. Kelley, The Keep
Food was great, service was excellent.
Thank you so much for the feedback! We truly appreciate it. Kelley, The Keep
Brady was our server, and he is so kind. Although this is a higher scale restaurant, he made us feel comfortable by being so warm and calm.
We sat up at the bar by the kitchen, and that was a nice experience. Everyone was so clean and put care into their work. At one point I started to ask Brady if there was a garlic aioli sauce for my fries, and before I finished my sentence- one of the kitchen staff was handing it over the bar to me! ha.
It was a really nice experience, especially for such reasonable prices.
and the cocktails- perfect.
Hello Tiffany, thank you so much for the feedback. We truly appreciate it. I will share this with Brady. Thank you, Kelley, The Keep
