Since opening in 1989, We have been one of Kildare’s favourite all-day dining locations. The Johnstown Inn is a casual family-oriented restaurant that is the perfect place for your informal get-togethers. We offer a full menu for children as well.
Our staff are friendly, our portions are generous and our food is always homecooked. We stock a great range of craft beers, perfectly made coffees and delicious wines by the glass and the bottle.
We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 10:00 each day. We serve until 20:00 during the week at 21:00 on the weekend.

Even living in Kildare this is the first time here. So nice to see a menu with different things on it apart from the usual bog standard. The food was excellent, service was lovely and friendly and good pricing too! Definitely be back

This is our local and hoping to frequent it more now after lockdown. We were there Friday and steak was a bit salty, but decided to return for early dinner yesterday. I wasn’t impressed with the chicken and avocado salad. The lettuce was a bit limp. The bacon was a dried out rasher. Chicken was chewy. Really think a classic chicken Caesar salad would be much more appealing. It was listed on the open table version of the menu but this might be the post covid alternative.
