    Horrible experience. The restaurant was not even half full at 1:30pm for brunch on Sunday. We were sat and the server did not even come to our table for 5 minutes. We ordered a round of drinks. We wanted a Bloody Mary, but they had run out of mix. How does a brunch restaurant that is not busy run out of Bloody Mary mix? To make matters worse, the server rudely conveyed that the kitchen was backed up and there was no telling how long it would be before we might have food. Even though we saw food runners working. We chug our overpriced, cheap tasting wine and left. On the way out, I asked the hostess what was going on with the food. She advised that the kitchen had actually run out of food. So there was no way we would ever have been able to eat. Why were we not told this before we were sat? The restaurant then cancelled my reservation on this app before I could leave a review. This is fraud. Do not eat here.

    Great view of the Chicago Lakefront. The rooftop has a nice vibe with a fun bar. We went for brunch and our servers were very nice but service lacked. One person in our part ordered a sandwich and they did not tell him that didn’t have pastrami until all our meals were served. He had to reorder. They didn’t refill our water glasses , had to ask for more coffee. 2 people in our party had their coffee served in paper cups. We had to ask for the bill - took them forever we finally walked out and payed by cash. Recommend going for drinks instead of brunch!

    Had an hour 20 minute wait before they let us order food because the kitchen apparently backed up and the rooftop was only half full. Initially told us we had to wait 30 minute but ended up being almost tripe that wait. Also they had one server for the entire place so service was slow. We were never checked on to see if we needed another drink or were ever told the kitchen was ready to put in a food order. We had to continuously flag our server down every time we needed another drink and finally asked if the kitchen was ready an hour 20 minute in and finally told us it was ok to order. Also they were missing items off the menu and instead of letting us know at the time of placing the order with the kitchen they just sent out the food order with substitutions which they just assumed were ok (my wife doesn’t eat pork and they subbed in bacon for the missing item). Overall sucked and would not come back, so many other great rooftops in Chicago. They are very clearly understaffed.

    Table wasn't ready when we arrived. They told us we can sit at another table, while we waited and a table was cleared. Wait staff then seated another table where we were supposed to go and moved us one table over. Wait staff then stood around and giggled at their mistake. Waitress also brought over food and insisted someone at our party placed the order when he left the table. He did not.

    We went on a rainy night and the roof leaked in some areas, but the vibe, service and view made it well worth the trip. I love that place.

    We went for drinks and a snack before the Cubs/Sox game. Sat on the rooftop outside. Gorgeous day. The drinks were good and the food was good, hummus and chicken salad.

    My reservation here was to begin an unforgettable night celebrating my husband’s retirement—something I had carefully planned with multiple reservations, including a hotel stay. I noted when I made the reservation that J. Parker was having a ticketed event for the Kentucky Derby but I was able to make a regular seated reservation with no problem through OpenTable. Twenty-four hours before the reservation, I received a call from the manager who told me, “Sorry, we have to cancel your reservation…we just had a complete buyout happen.” I sat in silence and then asked about other seating. He offered nothing even after I told him this was ruining a very carefully planned, special evening. Finally, after me just repeating myself, he offered a round of drinks or a free app. After his call, I immediately had to rush around finding other options, etc. It became evident they were accepting regular reservations while simultaneously selling event tickets—setting the stage for inevitable cancellations. After returning, I checked other reviews and found multiple instances where this same mishandling ruined other people’s milestone events—including an engagement and a wedding celebration. This isn’t just bad luck—it’s a deeply flawed approach to customer service. A free drink or appetizer doesn’t change the fact that they’ve repeatedly disregarded guests’ special occasions. How can anyone trust this establishment to honor their reservations when history suggests otherwise?”
