Great Food, great service and Jack our server was incredibly professional. Thank you for a great evening.
First time at the Ivy. My wife and I had the full Afternoon Tea. Very enjoyable. Coming again next month!
My husband had the steak which was very expensive and ordered rare which in our opinion was more medium than rare it was also stringy and a bit tough have definitely had better steaks. I had lobster linguini which ok. The staff were excellent and we had to wait for our table but it was fun watching the bar staff making the cocktails.
The Ivy in Winchester is the best place to eat. Great service, ambience and of course the food is superb.
Great celebration in a fantastic atmosphere.
Breakfast at The Ivy is such a treat. Fabulous surroundings, fabulous, unhurried but attentive service (including a birthday cake with candle to blow out for one of our party!) and fabulous food. Great value too. Go on, treat yourself!
A great evening with friends. The food, cocktails and service were all A*
We chose this restaurant as it was a special occasion and wanted certainty that the food would be good and it was. The service also was very good. The decor is very interesting and tables set in cosy formations. For what we enjoyed, food and drink, I felt the final bill was worth paying that little bit extra. The only criticism was how busy and therefore how noisy it was with chatter; the background music was unnecessary and made it difficult to converse across the table without leaning forward. However very enjoyable evening, almost top marks.
Really unique experience, really lovely location and restaurant highly recommended
Each time I’ve been to The Ivy I’ve had a great time, the staff are delightful, providing excellent service, the food is delicious, I love the decor and where it’s situated in the high street.
On my recent visit they surprised us with a little cake each with a candle for my Twin and I (when booking online you’re asked if it’s a special occasion)
Well worth a visit.
A treat from mum who made the reservation for this booking. Restaurant were amiable when we called to say we were running late due to traffic and held our table. Nice welcome from the Meet&Greet team and from our waitress who had a trainee shadowing her. Both were very attentive and friendly during ordering and starters but then, I think due to the busyness of the restaurant we had a long delay before main course and, during dessert, they seemingly disappeared completely! We had to ask for the bill a number of times. That’s said, food was beautiful and it was a nice touch to receive a birthday surprise with dessert. Definitely better than my last visit but just a shame that service is a little hit and miss.
Crammed tables, waiting staff who forgot things, noisy environment. But good food and nice location
We went there for our wedding anniversary and it was a fabulous meal and evening. Everything was faultless, attentive staff and a great vibe, not to mention wonderful food. Highly recommend.
Just replace those awful swing stools at the bar.
Only munchkins can sit on them and even then it would be a squeeze...
Outstanding in every way. 5 class service from excellent staff, exceptional food.
The only complaint was the music. The latter was too loud and the choice not appropriate for Sunday dinner. It intruded with the conversation.
Very good food and excellent service. Nice atmosphere and décor.
Brilliant food and a lovely atmosphere
Always a great time ! A wonderful atmosphere and superb staff.
Can’t wait to return
Staff were amazing, loved the ambiance. Great to see covid awareness still too ie masks etc made for a wonderful return to The Ivy! 🥰
Celebrated our anniversary here, with a fabulous meal in great surroundings. Extremely busy, but staff did their best under the circumstances and made it an evening to remember. Bar prices are a little on the high side, but to be expected in a venue of this caliber, and g&t’s were exceptional. We will definitely be back for our next special occasion!
Brilliant service brilliant food have. Booked again !
Very welcome for a special occasion well done to Mihai and all the team. Will be back very soon! David
Beautiful restaurant with excellent customer service although maybe just a little rushed. Food was excellent. Cocktails were delicious. Overall it was very well enjoyed and we will visit again.
Great welcome and good service from our waiter. A lovely environment and well fitted out.
Table was too small (even for just two of us) and the service around us was energetic.
The place was very noisy although I’m glad we were sat in a smaller room at the back. Would have hated to have been in the main restaurant.
The surprise birthday dessert was a nice and welcome touch.
The lady who gave us our bill and took my money could not have been less interested or grateful for our custom.
I would return but try for a less busy evening.
Absolutely excellent in every way. Very good meal.
Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. Such a wonderful evening out.
Always consistent, an occasion place to dine. Always a bit noisy in the Winchester branch when I’ve gone but think it’s just poor acoustics perhaps. Diners overall probably like the buzz.
Amazing service and amazing food would definitely come back
Food was amazing, very hot although it was severed too fast.
Fantastic experience as always despite it being really busy. Looked after brilliantly by Daisy who was knowledgeable, attentive and extra friendly. Great food as usual. Be back soon!
Warm welcome, polite and attentive service, good cocktails and really nice food. A very enjoyable experience until….. we were told our time slot had come to an end… we were still eating dessert and had wine left but the bill was delivered immediately to us with the card machine in waiter’s hand rushing us to pay and leave. The atmosphere completely changed and the wonderful service we enjoyed until this point disappeared. Having spent a substantial amount of money, this was thoroughly disappointing and not commensurate of the service I’d expect from The Ivy brand. I appreciate that operationally you need guests to vacate tables for the next sitting but this could have been dealt with completely differently - perhaps suggesting we move to the bar or terrace to finish dessert and wine… rather than just standing over us with the bill and card machine and stony faced expression. This will definitely influence my decision (and onward recommendation) about using the venue for a special occasion again.
The Ivy never fails. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars overall was because of the noise. Very hard to hear waiting staff wearing face masks when the noise level is high. It did create a buzz though. Staff were polite & friendly though a few seemed inexperienced.
Art Deco meets bohemian staff service & dress impeccable it’s like a 5* London hotel but not so posh you feel uncomfortable don’t worry about the price check out the menu before you go. All ages there everyone was dressed well & looked like they had made an effort to really make it a special occasion. Look at the gallery on line
Food was fantastic and the service outstanding. As it was very busy, we found that it was difficult to hear each other talking and had to lean in all the time. Could do with some work on bringing the noise level down slightly but certainly did not ruin the evening. Will definitely go back
Gorgeous food and wine , fab and friendly service and what an OUTSTANDING place. I booked outside seating as the whether had been lovely but it was pouring with rain 😂. Very quick and courteous to fibd us a table inside. Thank goodness. Hapoy Days all round.
The best service I've ever had in an Ivy restaurant.
Service good. Desserts were very good. All 3 mains disappointing. Fish batter was soggy, risotto too thick and bland, shepherds pie was not hot enough
A good ambience, high quality food but not at an extortionate price.
