With approximately 150 seats, guests will be able to enjoy the main restaurant and bar, as well as a Parisian-style terrace during the warmer months. The brasserie’s all-encompassing menus offers a wide selection of British classics and internationally-inspired dishes, from the iconic shepherd’s pie to the spoiling Champagne afternoon tea and Ivy Royale cocktail.
The Ivy Winchester Brasserie offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, holding back a number of tables each day for locals, visitors and passers-by wishing to drop in at their leisure
We booked the table for 8:15pm, yet didn’t have our starters brought out until 9:30pm!
My husbands steak was cold, and the chips were soggy.
The waiters were friendly and they removed our starter charges as a goodwill gesture because of the delay.
When we finished our mains it was gone 10pm so we skipped desserts etc as we needed to be back home. So the ridiculous delay at the start of the evening made it so we couldn’t enjoy the full evening because of commitments at home.
We’ve eaten there a few times over the last year when numbers were lower and had no problems. Given that it is an expensive place to eat, we won’t be rushing back again following last nights visit.
The food was delicious, I had forgotten how much I enjoy quinoa, served with asparagus that had just the right amount of crunch. The cheese soufflé was tasty and light. My companions equally enjoyed their choices. The portions were certainly not mean in quantity and the ambiance was just right for a celebration meal. The service was good without being obsequious.
Absolutely outstanding, we loved every second of our visit. You made my partners birthday truly special.
We were in the room at the rear of the restaurant and for us this is the best space. Good was great as always and despite being really busy our server coped in a lively friendly way. We’ll be back.
Great service, clean and quick.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Food has always been amazing and worth the extra expense for a guaranteed lovely meal experience.
Amazing as always, food delicious and a really lovely atmosphere
Fantastic service and food and drinks. Yes it's expensive but it's a treat and worth it.
Only disappointment was them not having any of the ivy craft lager as really wanted to try it.
20 minute wait for drinks to arrive. Not what you expect from the Ivy chain. Presumably suffering from the lack of staff due to Brexit.
Lovely - customer service is what makes this place extra special.
Good value for money !
Good service !
Really enjoyable lunch in a very nice atmosphere with very good service
Excellent service and quality of food. A lovely dining experience. Would highly recommend.
First time we have visited The Ivy. Staff were very attentive and service was good. Food was good quality. It’s a large venue so sometimes it was quite noisy. Overall a nice way to celebrate a special occasion.
This was a really lovely birthday celebration (5 months overdue because of covid) for myself and an old friend. The food was really excellent and there was a lively, vibrant atmosphere.
Great service and vibes. Sometimes you resent paying service charge but not here
Loved our visit. Excellent food & service! Very busy but this did affect the service. Was quite noisy though!
Great evening at The Ivy. Managed to get a booking during graduation and we had an amazing team looking after us. Food was all rather good and enjoyable. Would happily return
Great experience. Perfect reception, excellent service, good food. Thanks all!
Consistantly wonderful. Our 'go to' restauarnt for something special. Definitely the best one in Winchester, the rest will take your money but wont offer the same level of service!
Well done to the Ivy Winchester, and keep up the good work!
The food and service was good but for me it's not a regular choice, too expensive
Great meal for my Mum's birthday. Food was delicious and service was generally great, although we had to ask a couple of times for a wine top-up (the bottle was too far away from our table for us to simply do it ourselves). We will definitely return.
For prices charged I was expecting a five star experience for example - lack of beer choices, sold out of some. Sat in back room which did not feel like a VIP experience. But on a positive note, they did acknowledge our son’s graduation with a complimentary desert. Set menu good value and tasty.
Fantastic service and delicious food. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit.
Visit spoilt by extremely rude and obnoxious doorman.
I had booked this visit three months prior, to celebrate my daughter’s graduation that had been cancelled due to Covid. I had invited my elderly parents.
Unfortunately on the day, due to torrential rain my mother who has mobility difficulties was running 15 minutes late. We were driving her.
The restaurant refused to hold our table longer than 10 minutes and very begrudgingly gave us 5 extra minutes.
The customer service was cold and compassionless considering the extenuating circumstances.
Arriving horrendously stresses as a result and once past the grim doorman we couldn’t fault the ambiance, service and food. Just an absolute shame about management.
We went for lunch, the service was good, the menu interesting and food lovely. All delivered with a minimum of fuss, even though it was quite busy in the restaurant. It was noisy as there were so many people there, so not suitable for hearing aid wearers! The loos were very nicely decorated and clean, even the disabled loo was decorated tastefully. A really nice touch was the umbrella ‘concierge’ on the door!
We enjoyed our meal at the lively Winchester Ivy. Nice atmosphere and very good food.
Lovely for my graduation and a nice dessert surprise!
Excellent lunch! Service was top notch. Food was superb. The restaurant was full by 1:30pm, but everything arrived in a timely fashion.
Wonderful food, amazing service. Really made our lunch a special occasion.
Great menus lot’s of very good dishes. Service was excellent and the restaurant is spacious and the ambiance good
Such lovely welcoming staff and amazing food! Will definitely be heading there again.
Outstanding-incredible food, amazing tuna and chocolate pudding (not together)! Can’t wait to come back
Just wonderful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.
Thank you all
Amazing food & service by Brandon our waiter would highly recommend a visit
Service and interior design all faultless. Food was very nice, though my wife’s main was not very hot when it arrived at the table. She said it was lovely but would have preferred it to be hotter. I tasted it and it was lukewarm at best. You then have that dilemma as to whether it’s worth asking for it to be heated up meaning that I would then have had to have mine taken away also when it was fine.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Reasonably priced.
The service and food were excellent would defiantly go back
Had a lovely meal with a very dear friend excellent!
I went before my Graduation ceremony and they helped me feel really special. Lovely service!
