So bad! We visited LA and didn’t know all restaurants only allow take out is forbidden to eat inside because of COVID .
I made reservation and went through properly.... you should be updated regarding this situation.
Staff was really friendly. We go back again
Absolutely superb ... can’t wait to go back.
Great spot
It was our first time there. Service is great. We enjoyed the food. I had the seafood spaghetti, and it was quite delicious. I noted that the customers waiting for their tables didn’t have masks on, management should have asked them to wear one.
Came in for a bday brunch, was seated right away and my server was incredibly pleasant to work with. Constantly checking in with the table and making sure we were having a pleasant experience. Over all ambiance at the ivy is always upscale but never too stuffy and a great place to ppl watch!
This used to be my favorite place to dine, but it’s been about a year since I’ve gone. I remember thinking something was off when I went a year ago, but decided to celebrate my birthday there anyway.
BIG MISTAKE!
Reservation at 4o’clock, and didn’t get seated until 4:35. maximum party of six, and almost arrive on time with a 15 minute grace period, or we can’t be seated. They didn’t have a problem making us wait on them though. They were very curt at the beginning when I asked about my table. Super snappy, as it seemed they were under a ton of stress! Ton of staff, but they all seemed very overwhelmed, and under pressure. Seated at a table with a pole and a brick wall dividing my party. Hit my head on the pole, and stood up to get looped into a hook sticking out of the brick wall. what a pain literally and figuratively. It was exhausting! Never got water refilled, and we were seated for over two hours. 30 minutes of these two hours were spent waiting for 2 checks. As I mentioned they took their sweet time, but we felt rushed through everything. One friend ordered an enchilada, and said it was very dry and overpriced. I ordered the fish with butter and capers. I explained that I have a very serious allergic reaction to alcohol, and was promised they would remove white wine from the dish. Within 10 minutes of consuming my fish I started to feel dizzy and off. I went home and had hives everywhere on my birthday! The bread provided complementary was stale and dry. The rice tasted like uncle Ben’s. Getting a check split although mentioned at the beginning, was almost impossible. The only thing good was a complementary birthday dessert. Not really hard to mess that up, though I guess they could’ve forgotten. They seem to have forgotten everything else!
Happy birthday to me 👎🏻 NOT allergy friendly.. come to think of it won’t be returning.
Food was good but the service was great! Staff is always friendly and efficient. Great place to dine.
We were celebrating a birthday. They brought a complementary birthday dessert which was delicious and a sparkling light which is a nice touch.
We were seated in the back of the patio. The chairs are not particularly comfortable and we were against a wall. Given the pandemic, I thought the tables were a little too close.
The service was outstanding. The server misunderstood an order and quickly replaced it.The food was excellent. We had the fried chicken and the lobster ravioli which I would recommend both highly, especially the fried chicken. Also there were entrées which were not priced astronomically.
It was dinner with my family for my birthday. Lovely as always!
Great all around
You seated us on far end of the sidewalk on a table totally unset and away from everything in the pitch black dark (no lightening at all). All of the other customers in front of us also with reservations also refused to sit here! You don't go to the IVY to sit in the nose bleed bleachers. You made no effort to even try and dress up the tables on the sidewalk. Just threw down chairs on empty tables without even silverware or settings on them. Very low class - totally unacceptable for your price point. Very very unprofessional and very disappointing. Check out Il Fornaio Beverly Hills and how they transformed their sidewalk seating to create a nice ambiance. You could learn from them and also take a lesson on manners from them as well.
Such a cheerful colorful place and everything on the menu is delicious. The staff was very kind, professional and safe. Very thoughtful and complete service.
Loved the waiter!
Great service and food.
El lugar está hermoso y los desayunos muy buenos
Service went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time celebrating my friends birthday. Food was great and quick!
The Ivy NEVER disappoints
Always a great experience
The ivy is always the best restaurant from the time you are greeted until departure. The food is unbelievable and the service is impeccable . This is my favorite restaurant and they have the best of the best servers
WORST PLACE EVER! WAITRESS WERE RUDE AND THE MANAGER INSULTING! IT WAS MY HONEYMOON (IMPORTANT DATA)
Birthday , great food , and atmosphere . Pricey but classy
For the price you pay I would except better food. Portions were small, fries were overcooked and it was a bit lackluster.
Everything was amazing!
The Ivy is amazing. Most adorable, charming atmosphere. The food is outstanding. I am still dreaming about the pasta I had there. Servers are all great. Always on top of everything.
Birthday lunch with family
Walter was a great server. Very helpful and knowledgeable of the food items.
The food was amazing it was a great atmosphere and wonderful service.
I went to the ivy with my dad and sister. The food and service was amazing. We will absolutely go back:)!
I have been going to The Ivy for 20 years. My last 2 visits were extremely disappointing. The staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there. In the past, The Ivy was very accommodating regarding ordering “off the menu”, not any more. One waiter even expressed his political views. I along with all my clients and friends adored The Ivy. It is average at best now, and they do not cater to you the way a first class restaurant does. I will not got back again.
After many wonderful visits, this one was a major disappointment in food, but primarily from service. For me...the bloom is off the rose at The Ivy.
Our experience at The Ivy was delightful. The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff was kind and our food was delicious. We will be back!
Disappointing is all I can say. Service was way below par with English as a second language prevailed. The stone crab was flaky and broke into little morsels. It seemed like it had been frozen. My guest order sorbet without coconut but was served one with it. My desert was delivered so late that he had already completed half of his. All that he could eat. Let me add that my desert only arrived after I waved someone down and asked for it.
Not the Ivy that I know.
What’s going on?
Made reservations, still had to wait about 15 minutes but it was worth it. Everyone enjoyed their food, drinks were amazing, great environment.
A friend’s Birthday
It was amazing! We got a great table! My mom enjoyed her birthday lunch ❤️
The Ivy is as wonderful as ever. The staff are attentive, and the total experience they've created under COVID circumstances is comfortable and fun. I've always loved their eclectic menus, and this evening's selections upheld that tradition. All dishes were excellent, and I"m eager to go back and try some others. Their mixologists concoctions are way too good to resist, some really tasty goodies there! I say with pleasure that I still highly recommend The Ivy, and that I'll go back soon.
I had a reservation and still had to wait 45 MINUTES to get seated . Unacceptable
Great service and ambience. A bit pricey but worth it.
El Ivy tiene un muy buen ambiente, es muy bonito y la comida deliciosa!
