Great place! Love the ambiance!
Love this restaurant. Super attentive staff.
Great ambience! Great food! A little bit expensive... and the service wasn’t very good (at least my waitress)
We come every time when in town and this was our 44th anniversary...wanted a place that was very special to us both....perfect night.
Great service as always. Its def. a bit pricy but the drinks, food, and service make up for it. You get what you pay for.
Visiting LA for our second time, we decided to give The Ivy a try. Made a reservation for 11A on a Thursday for brunch. We also requested in the reservation to sit outside. They had valet parking but we opted to use the metered parking which was $4 for 2 hours. We were treated to complimentary Champaign when we entered and escorted to our seat outside right away. The staff was very friendly. My wife had the French toast and I had the Dungeness crab salad. Both were excellent and big portions. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful with questions on the menu. Service was great. It was really an excellent experience all around and I would highly recommend stopping to eat at The Ivy if you get a chance. The food is expensive but we knew that going in so we were not shocked. One could argue the cost being crazy, but the experience for us was well worth what we paid for.
Oh and the setting was absolutely incredible!
The waiter was very arrogant and irretating. But the ambiance is amazing
Our experience at The Ivy was absolutely delightful! We enjoyed every minute of it! The staff was welcoming and the food was very delicious
Always a wonderful experience Dino h at the ivy. !
I haven’t been for a couple of years. Food was not as good as I remembered. We were early for our reservation so our outdoor table was not available. I know that is not their fault, however they stuck us in a dark back room that was so hot we really couldn’t enjoy our $60.00 scrambled eggs. 😜
If you need disabled access call ahead to make sure the lift is working
Great ambiance with beautiful shabby chic decor. However, for the price (lunch $ 40 and up) , food is mediocre. Waiters will try to upsell you for drinks and pricier specials. Complimentary champagne, scones and cookies are a plus! But again, I’d spend my money elsewhere where food tastes better.
No lie, this place is expensive af BUT it’s an excellent special occasion place. I took my mom there for a bday brunch and she frickin loved it. It’s cute and quaint, like it popped straight out of a Victorian garden painting. Yeah, I crapped my pants a little looking at the prices, but the service, food, ambiance, and look of joy on my mom’s face made it totally worth it.
Well, it's the Ivy, it's in Beverley Hills, it was never going to be a cheap night out, but we did think it was bordering on a bit silly. $40 for Fish & Chips or Meatballs is a bit steep, though we didn't try the fish and chips, the meatballs was exceptional. The deserts were also, very exceptional.
You're going here, because it's a really cool place, and it is, the service is great and attentive, and the food is top notch, but we (as 2 people) who had 3 courses, 1 bottle of wine, and 2 drinks, with tip, came it around $400. so be warned and so you know what you're getting yourselves in for. :-)
Had to wait over 30 minutes for a table despite having a reservation. Service wasn’t great wasn’t given a drinks menu with the food menu and was left waiting a long time for the bill. Portion sizes also weren’t great was left hungry at the end of the meal.
The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is great. The food is amazing! Must have the tacos! Must have the crab cakes. Bring your girlfriends there. Dress up nice but can be casual. Got to see Heather and Terry dubrow and such sweethearts. Got to take a picture with them. Highly recommend place.
Traditional old line west side eatery good service nice menus good people watching
We visited from Florida for a 16th birthday breakfast. Everything was beautiful and I felt like th wait staff made it a very special day. The food was great and I highly recommend. It was such a pretty location. We loved it.
The worst risotto and lobster I have ever eaten. The risotto was like a diet rice poured on water. The lobster was like an imitation, not soft and untasty.
Our server was extremely pleasant and all wait staff was very attentive. Food was delicious.
i love this place and go all the time.. but, the waiter we had this time as a joke.
he never checked on us and took forever to get items we asked for
I love this place
Yearly treat at The Ivy
We come here once or twice a year and it never disappoints. We have our doll Chris every time and he makes us feel like royalty. The flowers, the food, the ambiance and people watching make this a treat everyone should experience! Can’t wait to come back!
Lovely birthday celebration
Awesome really lovely and great service .
Truly a special place would certainly recommend
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
We are regulars at the Ivy. One of our favorite places, but on Saturday the guy filling in for the usually nice sweet host was very rude to me. Totally Disrespectful. So he entirely is the only reason I am giving the Ivy a bad review this time. Server was great and food was great.
Great and outstanding service.
We have been her previously, but it has been quite some time.
The Ivy did not disappoint.
Really great food and AMAZING service! We were offered a glass of champagne on the house before being seated and complimentary cookies packaged to go with our check. Very beautiful decor, great atmosphere. Service was SO fast. I've waited longer for a drink at Starbucks. Drinks are expensive (about $20 each [food is also expensive), but I was given the extra that was made of my martini in a separate glass. They also serve complimentary delicious, warm garlic bread before your meal. Very expensive, but you get what you pay for at this restaurant. Loved it!
Overall it’s a nice place with great service. The complimentary champagne and cheese bread was really very good. However for the prices the main meals were pretty average. The desert was pretty good. But overall a nice place but wouldn’t go back.
We had the most amazing time at the ivy. One of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced in a restaurant. The staff were amazing and helpful. Upon arrival we were given champagne and cookies on departure. I truly believe the ivy is one of the best restaurants I’ve ate at.
Absolutely fantastic experience, as always. It is so charming and the service is second to none. The complimentary champagne makes you feel so special immediately. The food was incredibly, my mouth waters thinking about it! Dessert is a must!!
Annabelle says: Service prompt but not rushed. Incredibly tasting food and terrific selection. The world's best stuffed squash blossoms! Tacos amazing but enough for the week. Convenient and quick valet. Such a pretty place on the patio and inside. A real treat.
The table setting was too tight and too close to the next table, less privacy. However, the service was excellent.
Very disappointed in my last experience here. Food was tasty as usual, but service was quite poor. We were overcharged by 1 glass of wine and the waiter and manager did nothing to resolve the issue. In fact, they treated us like trouble makers for wanting to communicate about the issue and we were quite calm. Come here if you would like to take a chance on being robbed in a subtle manner.
Very strange place. We went for Sunday brunch. They offered us champaign before we where seated, a nice touch. We asked them to turn down the speaker that was above our table so we could talk, the table next to us thanked us for that. Then we joked about having to level out our tables so they didn't rock on the uneven brick. Off to a great start. Then you get the menu 37.75, 35.75, 33.75, 39.75, 49.75, really funny, we knew it was supposed to be over priced but they way they do it is foolish, just make it 35 or 40, it doesn't really matter because you are just charging double what the same food would cost at Cecconis. The were only 10 tables out of 40 with guests but the service was still kind of slow. It is all run by a hispanic workforce and I only say this because it seem to be a trend with any restaurant in LA. Restaurants start out with the creators working alongside the staff with a mix of talent, then over time the creators leave and eventually the lowest wage staff is left to run the ship (again I don't know what they are paid). There is no more creativity, inspiration. But they do have lots of flowers!! Oh, the food, it was pretty good, cooked perfectly, but I don't understand their clientele.
It was a beautiful environments beautiful flowers ultimate great service my special occasion was for my boyfriend birthday very professional we both had a great time and wonderful food
delicious crab cakes, salads and pastas. the shrimp was a little overcooked/dry. adorable inside ambience and patio is great for people watching. we were greeted with complimentary champagne. very nice touch.
