The welcome team at the door were very pleasant, we arrived early so ordered a drink at the bar before the meal. The bar staff were very good and there is a good selection of drinks. The food was very good however the table service was absolutely terrible. We ordered wine to drink with our meal, this arrived just before we finished our starters (we purposely tried to eat these as slow as we could). We then awkwardly sat there and stopped eating while the young girl struggled to open the bottle of wine for several minutes. The girl then eventually went to get to some help opening the bottle. When the girl came back she poured a glass of wine and then took it away to get an ice bucket. Starters were cleared by two members of staff and then the main course arrived very quickly. We then had to ask where our wine had gone, it had been put in an ice bucket several meteres away near another table, even though was plenty of space next to our table. We then to repeatedly ask for our glasses to be topped up as we weren't able to reach the bottle ourselves and none of the staff thought to ask. We ordered salt and pepper squid, scallops, rib eye steak on the bone, sirloin steak, creme brulee and the chocolate bombe, with the wine this brought the bill to £170 (before the 12.5% service charge that we asked to be removed). For that kind of money there are a substantial number of other restaurants that offer equally good food and much better service.
The restaurant was busy and it felt short staffed so service not on parr with previous visits. The music was loud and we were seated under the speakers so conversation was difficult. The ladies toilets were very untidy, no paper hand towels and generally messy (other diners to blame)
Our meal was really good but the music/noise levels spoiled things
Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Food was great. Service exceptional.
This was my first visit to The Ivy Victoria Quarter and will not be returning. Staff very polite and friendly and great atmosphere but sadly food very disappointing. Burger overcooked and brioche bun dry, fishcake bland. Overall very underwhelming.
Took my mum here for a birthday afternoon tea on a Saturday in October and it was excellent. The food, service and ambiance were great and we had a lovely time.
Good food but our meal was spoilt by slow service. The waitress was apologetic but both drinks and food were delayed meaning we had food but no drinks or drinks and no food.
Overall enjoyed our late afternoon dining experience. The food was of a high standard and very enjoyable. However given the high end prices for both food and wine it had the noise level and ambience of a fast food restaurant. At first glance decor stunning however needs a lot of tlc. The staff were very attentive.
Wonderful food at great setting in the heart of the city , glad we booked in advance , highly recommended , a little pricey on some drinks but overall worth it .will now try other ivy’s in other city breaks 🥂
Saturday afternoon lunch treat - good service and nice food
The food was perfectly cooked, the service was with a smile and most of time very professional.
We had all three courses, they were delicious.
The food was lovely as were the cocktails. Service was ok felt a bit like we had been shoved in a corner and forgotten . We only had one course and 2 drinks each , which took an hour and 45 mins
A bottle of wine was purchased and we were surprised it was put far away near another table “due to health and safety” but we didn’t feel the full pleasure of having purchased a £32 bottle of wine
Service was a little slow - but a lovely place and tasty food.
We ordered a second beer from another waiter, as ours wasn’t around, and it never came?
A little disappointed as we would have had coffee but were never offered them.
We asked for the bill and left.
Absolutely brilliant food and fantastic service. Couldn’t have asked for anything better
A really lovely experience for a celebratory event.
The Ivy lives up to its reputation of superior food and service in a wonderful atmosphere
Only downside was the speed the drinks were brought to the table.
Great good, nice service lovely decor... less saxophone would have been nice.
Another amazing Ivy experience. Light up Leeds lit up at The Ivy. Great entertainment & music to go along with the excellent service, ambience & of course not forgetting the incredible good food. What an evening, another memorable time with our family in great surroundings made it unforgettable. Thank you, as always
Good service but music too loud
Birthday celebration. Was made very special by your lovely waiter. X
We booked the Ivy in Leeds for a date night tea. We have been to the Ivy in London quite a few times and also York. We thoroughly enjoyed our Leeds experience.
My partner order the cheese souffle, house burger whilst I opted for the squid starter (highly recommended!) and the duck curry. We shared a choc bombe and truffles.
Honestly, everything was amazing! and we'll be back as soon as possible.
I was worried I would feel out of place but I didn't. Excellent service and amazing food. I will definitely be back.
We had a great time. The food and service were excellent.
One negative was that we included a generous tip in our payment and it wasn't till after we had paid that we realised there was already a service charge included. This is definitely something we should have been made aware of. I was not happy that after paying for an expensive meal we had paid a huge tip
We had a lovely meal , great service and food would highly recommend
Alex was very good, listened and was sensitive to the subject of dairy intolerance. Well done Alex you made it a lovely experience.
We come mainly for breakfast and Alex usually serves us
Been coming since it opened but must say Alex gives the most friendly professional service
Excellent location for doing business
Beautiful meal and great atmosphere.
Great meal. Service was very good, not long to wait for food and very helpful.
Loved the setting, deco etc amazing.
Really enjoyable night, will def be coming back.
Last minute choice for an afternoon coffee. Lovely service and general environment although a little noisy. We chose the scone cream tea which was excellent value. Our only suggested improvement would be a couple of alternatives to have with tea/coffee.
Lovely food and great atmosphere the service was excellent would definitely recommend
Had a very enjoyable early evening meal and will certainly be eating there again!
Love the menu options, especially the white onion soup !
The service was very good.
Very busy and find that the window seats for two feel too close to the next couple. The speaker at the back of the seat buzzed when music with lots of bass played.
Overall experience is good but will try and avoid window seats next time.
We had a table upstairs in a nice location beside a window. The service was very good, the waitress was attentive but not overly so, and the atmosphere was cheery. We really enjoyed our meals.
Lunch treat for 2 old friends
Lovely setting and service , food was very nice - plain and simple .
We enjoyed it very much
Enjoyed set lunchtime menu. Extremely good value. Not a great deal of choice on set menu but still found 3 courses I liked. Duck especially good. Surroundings and decor very loud but beautiful even the ladies toilet. Waitess very pleasant and attentive
As always delighted with everything. Service was exceptional , the food superb.
Fantastic service, food almost perfect (just the sour dough a little over baked).
Afternoon tea. Fantastic food and service. Would highly recommend
We were made very welcome and the service was outstanding.
Our waiter picked up on the fact that it was my wife's Birthday and presented her with a special dessert - a nice touch!
The food was nicely cooked and presented. The flavours and level of seasoning were appreciated by us all.
One slight negative - the sauce was rather thin in the rabbit pie and my portion of seafood curry could have been a little larger.
We had a very pleasant experience overall and we will return.
