The Ivy is a lovely place, but for two afternoon teas with two glasses of champagne, the bill came to over £80 and we ate three tiny sandwiches, two mini desserts and a scone each. Unfortunately the afternoon tea really wasnt good value for money and the portion sizes were very stingy considering the price of £35 a head. The champagne was the best part and was lovely, but cannot justify going again because the food itself was not up to standard due to portion size and we thought that some of the desserts were slightly stale. It was beautifully laid out tho, and the service was lovely. Just a shame that it wasn’t worth the money.

We arrived at 3pm for afternoon tea and cocktails. Most tables on both floors were taken, and there was a lovely atmosphere.
The waiting staff were friendly, smart, efficient and helpful, and we all enjoyed our meal and the ambience.
Highly recommended

The food at The Ivy is good wherever you go. But the service here was excellent. I didn't get the name of our waitress but she was great. Super friendly, warm and knowledgeable.

Another lovely lunch time at The Ivy Birmingham. Proving to be our 'local' for trips from the areas around Bham. Staff are cracking...and food is interesting, well cooked and just good. Lovely atmosphere....have to say...we really like it!

Very crammed in, seats touching the next table, was asked to move table back as I couldn’t get in my chair, not very COVID friendly being so close to each other

The food was really lovely, the table service was excellent. The surroundings are beautiful. Bar service not so helpful or attentive. Diner at another table was swearing and using her mobile phone on speaker. Smart casual is not t shirts and tracksuit bottoms.

Fabulous afternoon tea, but the service was as good as The Ivy in Exeter, lack attention to detail and the wait was longer than anticipated

Came here for champagne afternoon tea. The service from our waitress was impeccable she was so attentive. She had clearly read all the comments I made in the booking so I hasd nothing to restate as you do at some places. We were seated at a nice table by the window. They even brought out a birthday treat for my sister. There was a slight delay to our food coming out due to the sheer popularity of the place but she kept us fully informed. Slightly pricey with the service fee but this is what you are paying for it really is great service and great food. Atmosphere was wonderful just like our wonderland afternoon tea! Really nice interior too. Would definitely recommend.

Good was great, service was great even though my cup had lipstick that didn’t belong to me on it the waitress was so apologetic. Food value is great I think drinks are really expensive. My bill £44.50 food was only £28.00 so the rest was on one juice, one coffee & bottle of water. However overall it was lovely.

As always, beautifully cooked food, whether it's brunch, lunch or dinner at The Ivy. Their music lifts the atmosphere and compliments the art Deco decor-which is delightfully over-the-top! The loos are a must visit (I also judge restaurants by their restrooms). Prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the impeccable service we receive each visit, the high level of cuisine, and the opulent decoration. The atmosphere is wonderful since it's always got plenty of other tables with people enjoying themselves. Sincerely looking forward to our next visit. Thank you again The Ivy. x

Steak was tough and chewy. Requested bread that never came and waited 40 minutes before flagging down a waiter so we could eventually order some food. Drinks took way too long to come as well. Service was very happy and smiley, staff very nice and polite, just very slow and forgetful.

We had a great time for my mother's birthday.

However, my father had the Sirloin steak and had to leave at least half of it as it was riddled with fat and gristle. He didn't complain as he just wanted my mother to have a good time and not spoil it.

I complained after the meal and the manager took the charge off the bill which was appreciated.

I am concerned that the kitchen didn't see that the quality of the steak was poor prior to serving. It was quite evident that it was not acceptable.

Other than that we had a good time, all the other food was great and the service excellent.
