Amazing food and friendly efficient service. Lovely ambience so relaxed! Loved it, I’m a regular visitor to these restaurants , never disappointed!

Very small cramped table stuck up against wall upstairs, for amount of food and drinks on table ! Cheese soufflé was a huge let down to my previous one. Was like scrambled egg with cheese sauce poured over ! Tasteless Overpriced Ivy Lager especially for size of bottle ! Surcharge shocking for 2 persons.

We dined at the St Helens square location to celebrate my partners 40th birthday while enjoying a few days exploring york. The decor of the restaurant is lovely and the attention to detail bringing in the York pieces too was a great touch. Our waitress was fantastic, she went above and beyond to help and cater to us. The food was nice and overall we had a memorable evening. It was slightly tainted with some other dinners not handling there tipple and shouting and such behind us but once they went it was a lovely atmosphere.

It's always solid food without being outstanding. Made up for by nice interior and showy atmosphere, if that floats your boat

Again! Lovely food, great wine list, everything you would expect from The Ivy and yet it leaves some to be desired (:must point out that George was excellent last night) We booked a 21:30 seating didn’t order till 22:00- food slow to come out as always and then at 23:00 the restaurant begins to fold around our ears and we’re asked about desert half way through our mains! With our dessert we were also served the clear message that we had out stayed our welcome so why offer it at all? Iwon’t stop favouring The Ivy as its strengths outweigh the weaknesses but I cannot help noticing that this timing issue persists… perhaps if closure is desired at 23:30 prompt then a 21:30 seating isn’t appropriate?

I always enjoy the ivy . Only thing that was disappointing is the eggs on the eggs Benedict were hard .
