   Great service, excellent food and a very good choice of wine (the Chablis from La Chablisienne). Best meal we’ve had the Ivy in St Albans. It was quiet, so never felt rushed. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for.

   Me and my partner visited The Ivy for a late lunch and we had a fantastic meal. Staff were attentive, if you're looking for a quiet time to visit, we went around 4 oclock and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Menu is varied and the set menu offering is very affordable.

   We’ve been a number of times before. This time we sat in the small room at the back and only one other table was occupied! Service was excellent! Food was excellent! Price was reasonable all things considered. We will return!

   Good Food. Nice but inexperienced staff so lack of attention. HOWEVER TO PAY 3.75 FOR THE SMALLEST COKE AN INSULT AND LIBERTY.

   We really enjoyed our evening, only issue was on getting home realised we’d been charged for a £62 bottle of cab sav, when we ordered a £33. That particular waiter seemed a bit clueless but all the other servers were excellent. Yummy food and great ambience, just check your bill!

   Great front of house. Service was mixed and had to review the bill as they charged for a beer I didn’t have. Overall the speed of service was two fast, from being seated to paying the bill having had a starter and main was an hour. Would welcome them asking if we would like a break between main course and starter. Otherwise all good please open one in Berkhamsted.

    First time visiting The Ivy restaurant. The place had a very warm and welcoming feeling. The staff were very polite and were very attentive to the small details and would greet me and my partner happy anniversary, even went out of their way to make the experience and dessert special. The food was very flavourful and portion sizes were the perfect amount. I would definitely recommend this place to family and will return to the restaurant again.

    Lovely meal. Very prompt letting us know we needed to vacate a table which was a shame. Very loud so hard to hear conversation around the table due to close proximity of fellow customers as tables very close. Still had a lovely meal.

    Visited The Ivy in St. Albans Friday night. Had a great time and there was a great buzz around the place. My partner had the blackened cod and I had the Duck Curry; both were fantastic. Service was great, we'll definitely be back!

    Outside was was shabby and dirty looking not appealing at all But inside was ok but not a look you thought was good for fine dining.the staff were lovely , food was good . But on the whole it’s was very noisy as everyone was sitting close together and you had to shout to be heard Which we thought was very off putting.

    Such a disappointment. We dine regularly at the Ivy restaurants, mostly in London, Guildford & Cobham, but this one fell really short. The ‘meet & greet’ at the front of house was friendly & efficient & we were shown to our table 5-mins ahead of booking. Appetizers arrived within 5-10 mins of ordering but had to wait over 30-mins for mains to be delivered!! Other tables around us who arrived after we had been seated were being serviced ahead of us & it felt as though we had been overlooked. Such a truly disappointing experience from a Brand we both really love, so we will definitely avoid going to this one of the Ivy chain again

    Used to be a great restaurant. It’s really gone down hill. The bread was tasteless, the soufflé was like sponge, the mushroom starter was like mushroom soup with a chip in it and the blackened cod was wet and covered in sauce. The sommelier asked us if we wanted to “aireate” (not a word) the wine (breath, yes please). We had a great night but won’t be going back to the Ivy in St Albans again.

    Frequent visitors however on our most recent visit the food was disappointing, service almost non-existent and manager was rude and argumentative when we raised these points... Won't be returning and definitely wouldn't recommend!

    Always a welcome at the Ivy service is excellent and this is down to teamwork everything is timed just right this is so important when your in a group and never wait for anything the food is worth every penny we have never sent anything back to the kitchen.They have a hidden treasure her name is Sheila the best waitress I have ever come across in eating out for 50 yrs such a brilliant sense of humour Well done the Ivy team 👌
