The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
Lovely brunch, nice staff, the usual ivy decor and very good value for money.
Lovely restaurant for a Christmas get together. Buzzy atmosphere, great food and service was spot on.
As always reall buzzy atmosphere, delicious food and great staff
Our server didn’t know some of the dishes and said they were new so she didn’t know. Then asked a manager but came back with a one word answer that only explained what game was and not the dish itself (when we all knew what game was at the table and were asking specifically about the preparation). We were charged for an extra glass of wine the waiter said would be left with us since it was a mistake. The food (outside of the fish and chips which were delicious) missed the mark.
Excellent Service, little too noisy but a busy night
I have been to The Ivy restaurant but not the Brasserie so I booked a table for myself and my fiend as a belated birthday present, I have to say from the minute I walked in till the minute we left it was a lovely experience, the staff were so nice and friendly no attitude whatsoever especially our waiter who was so nice, the food was delicious and absolutely loved the building and the decoration and atmosphere .. We had 2 courses each a bottle of wine and 2 espresso martinis and the price was £130.00 which I thought was great considering the service and food was delicious .. I would definitely recommend 5 stars from me
It’s always a fab day out when I visit The Ivy Brasserie Soho & Sanita is always so warm and welcoming .
Amazing buzz every time
Thank you Ivy Soho
Had booked a table in advance. Waited at bar for 15 minutes until it was ready. Background music was far too loud for us. Chairs at table were very comfortable. Food was ok, but I should have said I don’t like my vegetables al dente. Roast salmon was very nice.
I’d probably go again, but during the day when I could carry on a conversation.
Restaurant provided a great venue for a family birthday celebration.
Service and food very good plus a birthday cake and candle provided a lovely touch!
Noise level of music a little too high but it was very busy!
We had such a wonderful time, as always at the Ivy brasseries, great service and food and seating - thank you so much <3
We had a table for 7ppl for our team holiday party. We booked for 4:15p and had been told to not be late as we would lose the table. When we checked in they told us to wait by the bar, but the bar was heaving. 7 of us standing next to the bar was quite disruptive and we kept getting annoyed ‘excuse me’ comments from the staff as we were clearly in the way, but we were where they asked us to be! It took a good 15mins for them to finally get our table ready but we finally sat.
Service was pleasant but spotty. Dishes were given to the wrong people. Drinks had to be asked for multiple times. Food was just ok. Lobster risotto was covered in foam such that the taste was destroyed and quite expensive for what it was. Shepherds pie was too salty and very boring. Duck salad and miso cod were good. Frozen berries for dessert was lovely as usual.
The kicker was when we were ordering coffees the server said ‘you only have the table for 15mins more.’ So they kept us waiting but they were quick to push us off! We were obviously wrapping up and it was unnecessary to make us feel unwelcome. I then had to chase the wine we had ordered long ago (why we were still at the table) and it ruined our last few minutes there.
This used to be our go-to spot for a nice relaxed celebration or client meal but no more. Really let us down on a special night.
Great restaurant, second time I have been and will definitely look forward to going again.
I was asked at least five times " How are you today?" by various members of staff, which after the second time is very tedious, and unnececessary . Food was excellent, but the ambient noise combined with the rather loud couple next to us, meant that conversation was at times difficult. On that basis alone, I doubt I shall return.
Fine for a non-special event meal out. Felt somewhat rushed by the waiting staff, decent brasserie style food. Super busy / noisy in there!
Whilst I have dined here many times previously with little problem, the most recent time was a very poor show. COming with very important clients for an early evening dinner, it was thought to be a safe bet for a good evening, great food and atmosphere with the usual impeccable service. However, a very over eager waiter asking what water we wanted before we took our coats off was an early warning to the night. Our mains came out before the starters, even though over half an hour had passed before we saw either. We then asked for the mains to go and the starters to come, which they did after about 10 minutes, but little more than a minute after the starters arrived, the mains came again, 2 of them were obviously the original ones that were sent out before, and although the plates were hot, the food was cold. Dealing with a table full of starters and mains, our clients unfortunately ate after our two mains had been finished - perhaps having the starters there was a silver lining. We did have a quiet word with the waiters during the meal and a discount was given. I would still recommend this venue and would dine here again - but hope this comment reaches the manager/s and taken on board.
Good reception. Lovely room to be in on a winter day. Service of main course extremely slow even though we had ordered from the day menu. But waiter very apologetic and gave us free pudding and coffee. Food mediocre. Hard rather than succulent crab cakes; risotto runny with cream; chocolate mousse too sweet- made with milk chocolate? Ugh
Sunday evening. Busy, with several loud groups. The food is very good but the service was inattentive and at almost every juncture, I had to ask for the waiter - to order, to order wine, to clear plates etc.
Our white wine was simply left in the ice bucket and at the end of the meal one of the maitres d’ was going to take the bottle away despite there being two glasses left. When I pointed this out the response as ‘well, you’ve got it now’. She was frankly rude.
Such a pity, given the quality of the food. But there is no excuse for her sort of attitude and aggression. My guests were shocked.
Awful awful service to start with, recovered when the manager took over working our table as we had waited over an hour before even being able to order a start and then half of what we wanted wasn’t available. Usually great service but awful experience has dented chances of returning.
The steak from the main dishes were unfortunaltely sinewy. It was very tiring to chew and swallow. All the rest was perfect. But meat was disappointing.
Great ambiance (decor and music) and food!
Our waiter was outstanding in the service he provided and he very friendly. What let down the overall experience was the music. It was so loud it was like I was in a bar or club. Even when shouting across the table the other person couldn’t hear what you said. At one stage it got so loud it actually began to hurt my ears!!
The food is always good but the disco at 1.30 on a Sunday afternoon was deafening ( new ivy company policy!) the staff were powerless to sort it, worried they would loose their jobs( yes???) My guests were horrified two tables beside us did not take their coats off before they left. This is a grave misjudgement on the Ivy groups part! it’s destroying shareholder value .please listen to your client base!!!
Having to shout over a DJ playing drum and bass music is not my idea of a pleasant dining experience. I will think long and hard about visiting the Ivy again
Great location, great atmosphere and great food. What let it down was the service. I had my glass lifted before I’d finished my drink and also while we still had a fair amount left on the bottle. We were also told we’d have to give up our table but no further customers actually came in so we sat longer. Just felt we were rushed.
The food and service were perfect. Unfortunately the music was very loud house music and the lighting was too dim.
It was a great evening service was excellent everyone was friendly and inviting. I live the Ivys and this one did not disappoint.
Usually I love the Ivy restaurants and eat at them a couple of times a month across London. However, it seemed as though there were a lot of new staff on a busy Saturday night shift. Food came before drinks. Missing items. 3 very large fish bones in my fish cake. Apologies were made and meal was deducted from the overall bill. Wouldn’t recommend this site.
Vibrant atmosphere, good food, reasonably priced, and despite a rather taciturn staff member who eventually managed a smile we had a fabulous experience, as always!!
Ab fab place , just the right place for a pre theatee dinner
Such a lovely atmosphere, beautiful decor, delicious food and all for a very reasonable price! I came here for lunch with my other half for a festive day in London and was not disappointed. I was so impressed I had to stay for 3 courses. The pumpkin soup starter was to die for!
I had the exact same issue last year - your music is too loud and seemed to get louder and louder. When I raised this last year I was told it was because you wanted this vibe in Soho. I get it, that's fine in the evenings but really for lunch? Sadly I won't be coming back to this Ivy anytime soon.
Ps - I am a 36 year old guy, not an old man!
Service excellent, staff really friendly and on the ball. Felt a bit like we were on a conveyor belt though, and the noise in the restaurant was very high. So overall not a relaxing lunch.
Thank you for a lovely lunch and for being so kid friendly too!
Lunch with my daughter on a trip to London to see the Christmas lights. We were made to feel at home straight away. Staff were lovely andvthere seemed nompressure to vacate ourvtable. Food was fantastic and great value for money.
Food was delicious but noise levels were very high.
Felt a bit ushered out to leave the table as the bill was brought without asking and the card machine was brought over without asking.
The food was great and I had a really nice time, thought it was going to be much more intimidating and posh but everyone was really friendly
Very good for a Saturday night dinner with friends!
Food was decent
Service was good
Music was too loud. We could barely hear each other
Good service and food. However music far too loud to hold a conversation. Asked twice if possible to turn down but no action taken.
