The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
Need to book at 7:15 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Service slow and inefficient - tea arrived without milk then had to chase for it twice. The toast with the breakfast was forgotten. Food arrived barely warm.
I would recommend The Ivy to some friends but the noise from the music in the restaurant put our group off and would mean there are lots of friends who would enjoy the food but not the fact you can't hear your fellow diners.
Delicious beautifully presented food. Great service. A bit noisy and music rather repetitive.
Good food but the loud music made conversation nearly impossible
Had a nice meal but service was a bit slow which was frustrating as we were then told at the end of the meal that they needed the table within 15 mins! Food was excellent. Not sure why they ask you if it's for a special occasion as nothing special was added!
Very ordinary food. Service is friendly but patchy.
Hi, I met my friend for lunch on saturday at the soho brasserie and although we had a lovely meal I felt really dissappointed to be ushered away and out so quickly. We had only been in the restaurant for an hour and a quater when we were told people had arrived for the next slot. If the tables are only available for this short time I think you should tell people when booking. When you are paying above average prices for lunch I expect to be able to spend at least two hours in the restuarant.
Other than this though we did have a fabulous time.
I have been to the Ivy restaurants a few times with my favourite definitely being the Kensington one.
This is the second time I have been to the Soho one and I will not be coming back.
1. Our table was booked for 7.45, but we were not seated until 8pm
2. The table they sat us on was fine for 3 people... if they had an extra chair. I had to ask for this, this is not what you would expect from the Ivy group.
3. The chicken Milanese... sadly really dry.
4. I am sure their side portions have shrunk.
I love the Ivy chain, and I was so looking forward to my dinner with my mother and sister but the Soho one really let me down on Friday.
Nice food and ambience but very small portions so v expensive for the amount . Definitely room for bigger portions
Was ok, doesn't do the brand justice. Service was slow, 2 side dishes came cold and a soft drink without ice came in half a glass, bit embarrassing for an upscale restaurant. Better options in soho let alone london.
Super waitress !
Very loud, not at all personal service, large but boring menu. Did not make an impression that I expected.
Breakfast was cooked and delivered very promptly and staff were very attentive
I've been to several very enjoyable lunches here, the food and service always excellent. Unfortunately, booking for dinner was a mistake. Although the food was as good as ever, the music was much too loud which meant that everyone had to shout and with everyone shouting the noise levels were just too high to enjoy the ambience. I will still return for lunches, but maybe find somewhere quieter for dinner!
Booked a table for 7.45pm, the restaurant was busy, they had loud ish music playing. We were shown to our table, no one came to take our order, this poor service continued through the evening, each time we needed to order, I had to get the attention of the waiter. Was disappointed, as we previously ate in the Ivy about 4 years ago and the service was on point, seems they have updated the decor and made the restaurant feel more spacious, but it’s a shame they could not cope with the busy Thursday night service, maybe more waiting staff is needed.
I dine at this restaraunt often and we booked a table to celebrate a double Engagement, not only was our table not ready at the time of our booking, but we had to ask the host 20 minutes later who then seated us another 5 minutes later. It then took a further 25 minutes to get a waiters attention to take our order, they then forgot to serve us drinks but already served starters. I should add they even ran out of the vegeterian pie but forgot so i had to re-order. Extremely disappointing service and left hungry most of the night! Not a place to be celebrating our good news.
I have been to this restaurant several times and always enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service, however on this particular occasion the service was terrible! They were so short staffed and the waiters working must have been new/ had very little experience and not attentive/ taking ages to get drinks and food ordered and then only bringing part of the orders. It was very frustrating as I had organized this dinner for a special occasion. I hope it was just a one-off!
But phenomenally noisy - hard to hear the conversation.
This restaurant is lively and fun. The menu has a good range of options and the food was excellent. The service was great - attentive but not omnipresent waiting staff. The wine list has a good range of options and the cocktail menu is a lot of fun.
Very nice vibe & overall great evening, had to send back the curry as rice wasn't cooked but it was resolved quickly
From the friendly greeting at the door to being served coffee at the end the whole experience was absolutely lovely. The service and food were both perfect. I just need an excuse to go back as soon as possible.
I took a friend for afternoon tea - we both had a lovely afternoon.
The Ivy is my go to for Cream Tea with a dear friend for a quality catch up. The ambiance is always one that makes the afternoon feel special and the staff are always high quality.
Perfect catch up lunch date with my friend, great ambience and friendly service without being intrusive either. Will return again soon :)
Great location and have been a number of times. Pretty much what I expected
Lovely big spacious restaurant, with all the Ivy finest food and decoration looking amazing for Christmas. Staff not the usual attentive high level of service, but the food and drink service was as usual La Caprice Ivy 5 Stat
Waited 50 mins for starters.
Charged for items that didn't come (we had to ask for them to be taken off the bill).
No apology for the inconveniences.
Service was slow and felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff.
Staff seemed very incompetent, I imagine new Christmas staff? Just general lack of knowledge from staff and seemed confused when we asked to swap breakfast items. We weren’t asked if we wanted brown or white toast. When brown toast arrived we noticed that others were given white - we asked to switch to which our waiter seemed angry with us!
Lovely breakfast at a beautiful restaurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious!!
Booking for a Sunday brunch at 10:00...
Unfortunately brunch service starts at 11:00
Love the ambience, the food was delicious especially the truffle and parmesan chips, the espresso martini is to die for. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back for a girls night out.
The place is great
But noise on Saturday incredible annoying
We were in a small table not able to make a conversation
Waitress not listening..really laud disco music at 8pm????
This restaurant was overall a good choice. The atmosphere was very nice. We enjoyed the food. We liked the vibrant paintings and the Christmas decoration. However the wine was a bit pricey and because of the DJ I felt I had to shout to talk to my wife. I asked him politely to turn it down and thanks fully he did. Everything else was great.
Birthday celebration. We were on time, got seated about 15 minutes late, and the it was at least 15-20 minutes before anyone acknowledged our table. The waiter looked overwhelmed. Once we ordered drinks from the bar and appetizers, the appetizers showed up well before the drinks! It was a Saturday night, and the place was packed, and I mentally discharged the tardiness until near the end of the meal, a manager came over and told me we had 15 minutes left to vacate our table, as our 2 hour slot was “up”. I unloaded a bit at that point, and suddenly, our service was superior, our desserts were brought out in short order, and we had more accomplished in 15 minutes than had occurred in 90. Poor management but great product. The food was excellent. The service was mediocre. Until I complained.
The concierge/greeter was astonishingly unwelcoming. Was made to feel like an inconvenience for arriving with a reservation and it left a foul taste in the mouth for the whole meal which was unfortunate because the other staff were friendly and efficient and the food was of a high standard. Loud music with a DJ was a bit of a distraction and made it difficult to relax.
Friendly service, although we should have let them know we had theatre tickets in advance as it was quite laid back (not slow though) until we told them we were in a rush. Food was good but not outstanding. Fun setting, and it was busy and buzzy, but got louder as the evening progressed.
Really lovely place & atmosphere our waiter Nickolai was very helpful friendly & funny he made our our night fly by & was very tentative to all of us & our vegetarian guest in our party.... Thank you @TheIvySoho
It was very noisy.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie was great fun, very high octane, enjoyed our entire family of teens and parents.
Always would recommend The Ivy Soho. Consistently good
