The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
Breakfast we had very good. Asisstant to be seated was rude
Was everything I had hoped for. Great food, service, and atmosphere.
Very noisy venue and food was just ok. Batter on fish was very thick and greasy and shepherds pie lacked seasoning.
The food was excellent and so was the service.
Amazing food, brilliant service, all round great atmosphere and experience
Amazing food, value and service! Was very impressed and will be returning.
Slow on service but friendly enough staff serving average food
Lovely food and restaurant- just too loud! I couldn’t really have a good conversation at times.
Everything was great
Staff were very attentive
We enjoyed it to the max
Lovely venue but too hot, too dark [unable to read the menu] and the music unnecessarily loud which made conversation practically impossible. The place was packed and the music was turned up high which meant that the customers had to speak louder to get heard - ridiculous. When there are so many people in a venue who are there to eat, drink and talk, you do not need much - if any, music to interfere with that. Please reduce the volume!
Was looking forward to our dining experience, was recommended by others.
Unfortunately there was a mistake made at the ordering stage of our experience and this tainted the experience a little at that time.
The problem was rectified once it was brought to the attention of the team, which was then handled well by a lady that I presume was a Supervisor or Manager but the waiter did not apologize or appear that bothered at the time.
We had a lovely few hours, the environment was lovely the food also lovely and would certainly go again
Saturday afternoon is very busy and the DJ really too loud, could hardly hear the waiters speak. The front of the restaurant lacks ambience like the other Ivys, which I much prefer.
My table was booked at 7.15pm and the email confirmation said I had the the table for two hours. We both ordered steaks and I asked my to be cooked medium rare, it arrived well done, the replacement was fine. At 8.45 when we were about to order dessert we were told they wanted the table back in 15 minutes, 9am. Needless to say we felt very rushed so didn’t order dessert. The table next to us had been seated before we got there and were still there when we left. In my job I make a lot of restaurant bookings for my boss and am regularly asked to recommend restaurants. They Ivy Soho Brasserie will not be on that list.
A lovely evening. On the whole the service was fantastic, I thought one person was a little bit dismissive, but that didn't spoil a fantastic 21st birthday meal for our niece. I will return.
Excellent service and staff
Felt food was not value for money
More vegetarian/vegan options would be good
Average at best, nothing wrong but would necessarily be beating down the doors to return
Always good fun and superb service but the food wasn't I felt up to normal standards
Excellent food and friendly waiters and lovely atmosphere . One of my favourite restaurants.
Great venue, friendly staff, good drinks list and nice food
Just too loud with guitarist and singer. Although they were very good - just too loud. Couldn’t hear each other talk
Very trendy restaurant, excellent food and fairly priced. The service was excellent, discreet and attentive, my only complaint is that it is very noisy in the restaurant because of diners and the music, so everyone tend to shout at each other in order to be heard.
This is unfortunately the situattion in many restaurants not just the Ivy.
Was a lovely night, there was a live band. However it took them 45 minutes to have our table ready. So we had to wait at the bar while they manage to find our booking.
Very well decorated nice looking restaurant the team were lovely and very kind foos was very good as well. We like it very much and certainly come back
Amazing place, food and staff.
Great atmosphere and food. Service is really top notch.
Thank you for a great dining experience on Valentines day! A few minuses: the food came extremely fast. I think our appetizers came 5-10 minutes after ordering, at the same time as the wine. We would have probably ordered some cocktails to start with, but didnt have time before the food arrived. Also the mains came super fast after the appetizers. Our reservation started at 19.00 and we were eating our mains at 19.30. This is too fast. While in a restaurant, if not specifically told that we are in a hurry, it's nice to enjoy the atmosphere, sip on a drink and wait for the food a bit. It also creates a feeling that the restaurant wants you out of there fast, and make room for new customers, if everything happens that fast.
Also, a small thing. We had bread with our appetizer tartar. We didn't eat all the slices that came with the food, but they were still taken away without asking after eating the tartar. This is weird. Then, I wanted a slice of bread with my chili-pasta, and asked for it from our waiter. He the brought a WHOLE oven bread, of course added to the bill, and we were almost done with our foods. We had to leave half of the bread on the table. Some restaurants just bring bread to the table before any food, I think this is fine. We weren't even offered or asked for this.
Besides these things, everything was amazing. Just wanted to point out these small things. We actually really enjoyed our evening, and would come again, and would absolutely recommend. The food was very good, and the service friendly. The atmosphere was so lovely. The prices are very good in relation to the quality to the food. If you fix those few things, Ivy is perfection.
Great food and atmosphere - wonderful decor and great staff
Everything here was great. Very good service and food but unfortunately, there are some kind of building works going on outside the restaurant.
Even though we had a breakfast meeting at 8:30, there was a jack hammer being used outside the whole time.
If you are sat further into the restaurant, it may not be a problem but as we were very close to the front windows, it was extremely loud and we had to raise our voices to be able to even hear each other.
I feel bad for the restaurant as I don't think its in their control but they could be mindful when seating people how this is going to affect their experience. This was a business meeting so its quite important to be able to actually hear the other people in the group!
Clearly understaffed, which lead to staff being unattentive and curt to the point of being dismissive. A shame as I had lunch here few days earlier and my experience was so different.
Great buzzy place. Went with friends, thry gave us a pretty small table but better that than no table at all.
Waitress was wonderful , but too many tables , had to wave hands in air to get attention , drinks took 15 minutes each
Food was disappointing, shepherds pie was very nice , but mean portions
My friend and I enjoyed a perfect pre-theatre dinner at The Ivy. I had asked the staff in the booking notes do something special for my friend's birthday, if possible. At the end of our meal they brought out a small tart with happy birthday on it which I thought was so lovely. It made my friend's day. Really great service!
My food was good (from lunch 2 course) but my guest’s steak was slightly overdone. Service a little slow (intended on a quick lunch but took 1.5 hours completing). Lovely place but busy lunchtimes.
The Ivy soho never fails to deliver, lovely setting, excellent facilities, food always on point and welcoming team.
Food and service was absolutely lovely, highly recommend and definitely return.
All very well but nothing extraordinary
Great atmosphere on a Saturday night!
Dj music could be abit more livelier.
Our first time visiting and we had a lovely meal with friends, excellent food and buzzy atmosphere in the restaurant. Busy when we went but had very good service and would definitely return.
Regularly dining at Ivy and always been on spot! Highly recommended for a nice lunch or dinner.
