Our bar tender, Michael, was excellent.
Such a great brunch! Thank you to the wonderful staff and chef for making our experience top notch!
Went here for my birthday. The aesthetic, service, food, and drinks were amazing. I love this place
Service was very fast and our waiter was attentive, but we didn't feel any pressure to give up our table. Ordered the Thai Coconut Curry Mussels to start and both my friend and I were impressed at the flavor...very good! We were less-than impressed with our entrees though. Seems like they packed all of their flavor into the shareables and not the entrees. Friend had the falafel waffle and I had the seared salmon. Both were just "meh" and underwhelming.
The biggest issue I had with this place is that lack of acoustic consideration in their design. There isn't enough soft material to absorb all of the sounds - all of the noises bounce around the space and it's extremely loud. I found myself shouting across the 30" high-top table at my friend during our conversations. They should have either hired a sound engineer or used a designer that is savvy enough in restaurant design to know what "not" to do.
Overall, I'm glad I checked it out but the location, noise level, and mediocre food isn't enough for me to go back there anytime soon.
Great experience overall! Loved the food. Was a little loud but that was to be expected. Definitely going to go back.
Our appetizer (cheese board) was suuuper bland. Then our entrees came and were cold. The fries were amazing! The steak was cold (the butter didn’t even melt), the cheeseburger was cold and the cheese wasn’t even melted.
The fries were great! The drinks were weak. The food was terrible. Service was ok. They tried to give us a free dessert to make up for it, or to “reheat” the steak and burger.
1 out of 5, would not recommend.
Thai mussels were truly excellent and the service was superb. The dessert, which they gave us on the house, was not good at all. I find this to be a typical issue with Utah restaurants. I would have been really happy if they had one or two desserts made in house, rather than mediocre items made elsewhere.
The waiter recommended great entrees and drinks! The overall vibe and service was AMAZING! Definitely my new favorite dinner spot!!
Beautiful new restaurant in downtown SLC. The cocktails on the menu were just okay, but our bartender made some interesting drinks for us based off of our preferred flavors. The food was good overall, the gnocchi had amazing flavor but it seemed like it maybe sat under the heat lamp a little too long (the plate was burning hot and the sauce had kind of congealed). The brussel sprouts were delicious and burger is always amazing. We’ll be back for sure!
Absolutely Loved our dining experience at The Ivy Salt Lake City! Great atmosphere, unique and tasty food, great customer service. We were very impressed!
Great ambiance! Food was great. Service was on top of it all. Manager came over to ask how everything was and it exceeded all expectations! Will be coming back for sure when outdoor seating is available and ready for fun! (Inside atmosphere was great too but summer patio season)
The kitchen is weak. We ordered baked oysters which had turned and were stinky and a fried rice type of appetizer in which the egg on top had goopy, undercooked whites - which was a serious turnoff. Mediocre wine list. The atmosphere is really pretty, I’d go back if they had a new chef
Love The Ivy! The environment is wonderful, beautiful decor, the food is delicious and the drinks were great too. Staff is very friendly as well!
Prices are a bit high, but the environment is worth it.
The service was exceptional and the food pretty darn good. The Brussels sprouts and fries were worth going back for. We had a fantastic time overall. The cocktail menu was shorter than I would expect, and focused on some heavier whiskey flavors. I’d really like to see some more floral/citrus cocktails for spring.
We loved the Ivy! Food and drinks were fantastic and our server was great. We'll be back.
Overpriced wine and small entree portions....nice place but service isn’t great.
Everything about my experience was amazing. the FOOD was the best meal i’ve had in a long time. everything we got including drinks were very good. i 10/10 recommend this place to anyone! the vibes, the way the food was presented and the dishes that they use...wow. i will definitely be returning, just make sure you make reservations ahead of time
Amazing food and such a fun atmosphere! The brussel sprouts are to die for!
The Ivy is an amazing establishment and has some amazing food. If you want to wow visitors or impress a date I would highly recommend taking them there.
Wonderful venue and absolutely amazing food. The service was prompt and they checked up on us frequently.
While I did love the ambience, I wish I could have seen it more! We had a group of four and we were put in the back corner at a booth that could have fit 10. It had candles on it that weren’t lit at first with no overhead lighting. It just felt like we couldn’t see each other or our food very well unfortunately. There were other smaller tables in well lit areas of the restaurant that were available that I wish we could have sat at, but overall, a great experience.
We loved everything about the Ivy. We sat in the bar area, Mike was a great waiter and accommodated our request to have the amazing beet hummus without bread. They provided cucumbers instead and it was delightful. Food and drinks were all well done. Another waitstaff, Squid gave us a great local tip to go to the Cliff Lodge spa-which was also fantastic. We will figure out how to return!
Easter brunch at the Ivy was everything and more than we hoped it would be. We had drinks, appetizers and entrees— it was all amazing and cooked just right. Cocktails and atmosphere were great too!! We will definitely be back.
The gnocchi is spectacular. So good so flavorful the best I have ever had. The restaurant is loud it had to carry on a conversation. Everyone is super helpful and the service is fantastic.
The Ivy was a great restaurant for a date night. The atmosphere is pleasing and the staff was on point. We were visiting the area and loved the cocktails and menu; something for everyone (gluten free options, too). Ambience is lovely and it’s in a convenient location for walking around the city. Server and manager took great care of us. Would recommend to anyone for girls nights, drinks at the bar or dates!
First time to The Ivy! Great experience. Ambiance, food, DRINKS and service was awesome! No complaints
This restaurant is noisy. The music is loud, the surfaces are hard, and the crowd is enthusiastic. The food is mediocre and pricey. We had a problem using our OpenTable coupons but eventually were accommodated. The service was excellent and they responded to our needs with a smile. Just be warned that this is not the place for a quiet dinner.
Try the hummus and the chickecn foccacia bread sandwich!! Awesome service and good value for your money.
Our server was fantastic. Food was delicious. Cocktails were on point. Ambiance was lovely. Would recommend and will be back.
Great ambiance and experience, amazing food! They just need to step up the service and this place will be 5 star!
My new favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City. Every plate was fantastic, our bar tender and waitress made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time, and the atmosphere is upscale without being too “all about itself”. I recommend this for everyone.
Wonderful food and drinks in a beautifully lit and low-noise environment. The indoor plants are beautiful, too. Easy to use QR code for viewing the menu.
Good spot in a good neighborhood. We just stopped in for a quick dinner and were delighted by the quality of the food. All tables were bar style but very comfortable. They had an interesting take on a G & T but apart from that I highly recommend the Ivy.
Great bartenders! Sydney especially. Great management.
I was super excited to try this place out for the first time. I loved my food, and the decor inside was very cool. I was frustrated with my experience because we were sat directly under a speaker that was blasting music. Our waitress had to have us repeat ourselves when we were ordering. When I asked if the music could be turned down so our party could hear each other at our table, she gave a less than enthusiastic response that she would “ask the manager if they would.” We were pretty certain the music only got louder during our stay, and it became nearly insufferable. We waited an hour on a Wednesday night to receive our appetizers. I had high hopes but will probably opt for other locations for dinner options with friends because I left with a splitting headache.
Amazing food and ambiance.
Great food, service, and music! I'll definitely be back
Second time in about a month. Again, the Everything Brussels - amazing. I got the salmon this time. It was good and I really enjoyed the chimichurry sauce they had on the side. The 2 friends I went with also really enjoyed their meals.
Only one note for others who visit this restaurant, and the owners/chef, pass on the desserts for now. The Oreo bourbon cheesecake, the white chocolate blonde, and the pumpkin spice latte creme brulee were a very disappointing way to end a great meal.
I believe they're working on the dessert component and that shouldn't stop anyone from the main course and especially not the brussels.
Great date night destination. Food was great and executed very well. Service and ambiance was perfect.
Very nice and accommodating staff. Excellent cocktails. Ivy 75 is a new favorite.
Great vibe. Wonderful food. Cocktails are fun and yummy.
