My daughter and my friends had a fabulous afternoon tea but made even better by the wonderful waitress who was amazing - Pitts we can’t remember her name but anyway she made our afternoon! Thank you
It was a good and beautiful experience, however the food did not surprise us.
Great place and great food, never let me down brought my best friend who visited me from Australia, she was very impressed
Great food and attentive service from the floor staff. Table wasn’t ready on arrival although we were spot on time. My friend had secretly ordered a surprise bottle of champagne and paying for this proved a tad complicated. The bread on the sandwiches was a little dry - we had afternoon tea. There was a good variety of savouries and sweets and the chocolate flower pots were particularly delicious. Overall we felt very spoiled and enjoyed our stay
My sister and I had a great afternoon! Our table was in the window so lots to look at. Fantastic food and a very lovely wine recommended by our waiter. We had a fab time thank you. The only negative would be that the tables are too close together. Everything else was perfect!
Great ambience and food but the service from the kitchen was very slow. Would go again but not if I had other things to do in the afternoon!
Jodie was amazing
Hi we have visited the Ivy in Bath and Covent Garden but first time to the Ivy Manchester and it was excellent from beginning to end. Wonderful food and great staff and nothing was too much trouble , excellent value for money too
Beautiful decor, friendly staff with excellent service. Food was delicious and will definitely be going back again.
Fabulous food and service. I highly recommend the roof top garden restaurant, especially if you get a window table. Service impeccably friendly, an all in all wonderful afternoon.
We loved it here, only downside is it took us an hour to order our main and we were super hungry!
What’s not to like ! Fabulous experience, great ambiance good service delicious food.
Great lunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Excellent service and food. Very relaxing atmosphere and made to feel special. Will definitely go again. Good value for money too for a City Centre destination.
Lovely friendly welcome from staff.
Great ambiance in the Roof Top Garden Restaurant which became even more beautiful as the light outside faded. Gorgeous decor like an Orangery.
Everything looked interesting including the food. Crab with dill cream, Gratinated Goats cheese with Tapenade, and soup were our choices followed by the cod goujons with fries and the Chicken all from the super affordable lunchtime menu. Very generous portions. The Sicilian wine was delicious and complimented the food well.
All in all a great experience that we would all like to enjoy on many more occasions
Great food, wonderful atmosphere and surroundings and all the staff were so nice and attentive. 5 star.
A lovely informal restaurant. Timing between courses was just right a little time to enjoy a glass of wine in-between courses. You weren't rushed even though it states 2 hrs table time and it was busy. Mix of couples, families, groups very warm atmosphere and this was a Sunday evening. I could have stayed all night. Limited selection of vegetable side orders but the spinach was just wonderful.Love the deco and service was extremely good. Very varied menu which is nice to see. We'l be back.
Been a few times, always very good, can't fault the food or the interesting choices at all, staff always nice but sometimes a little too busy and forget things....however not really a criticism. Would be more convenient to have toilets on all floors...a little irritating when you are right at the far side of the roof garden and you have to weave through all the tables and then go down a floor. For the price of food and drinks I don't think it is necessary to charge for water...asking if you would like water and then charging you is a little trick they do...you have to ask for a jug of water and then they like to say 'Oh tap water?'
Watch out for the extremely high service charge although it is discretionary. Our last bill was approx £230 ...£26 of that was service charge. The more I go the more I learn their ways.
Atmosphere was very relaxed, service was excellent and the food was lovely. Will definitely be making another booking.
The restaurant clearly needs more ladies toilets it’s a bit of an ordeal trying to use the facilities as there’s not enough toilets for the number of customers. Service wasn’t fantastic, I had to ask for water to be provided with the bottle of wine we ordered. We had a champagne afternoon tea and got charged extra for coffee and my sons chips were charged for when they were included in the price of his meal... I felt the staff were a little inexperienced.
Although we had a lovely time, it did not live up to the expectations we had and of previous visits to the ivy in other towns. Would go again but wouldn't rush back
Excellent service. Food was nice. We were looked after really well and my (seven year old) daughter, whose birthday it was, was made to feel very special.
Lovely place but ...Tiresome up selling by staff, sent fish back as lukewarm , likewise the side order of chips. Fish came back- not convinced it wasn’t the same piece which had been reheated and smothered in sauce. New chips which were delicious. Offered complimentary desserts which we would never have ordered plus coffees on the house. On checking the bill, we’d been charged for both chips plus drinks we hadn’t ordered. A bit of a bitter taste. Not as good as it was, unfortunately.
Lovely meal and experience with very good service. Desserts were amazing!
Another lovely lunch, great friendly service and lovely food!
This is my 4th visit and have bought different friends every time because I’ve told them how wonderful it was . All of them have thought the same . I have only been to the rooftop restaurant but would love to try the Asian restaurant on my next visit to Manchester
Good food, great service. Well located with unusual architecture and decor.
Food was good. I had the pumpkin tortellini and vegetarian shepherds pie which were both good. I’d have liked at least one more vegetarian option. My wife had the fish and chips which she said were excellent. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Very attentive and helpful, and they brought me a small cake for my birthday. A lovely experience.
Booked at table at the roof garden to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday. We loved the place. Food and service great. A little disappointed that my Husbands desert did not come with the little "Happy Birthday" tag that others did, even though staff had greeted us with a happy Birthday. Also for us the music was a little too loud. Everything else perfect. Would defiantly come again.
Everything was so amazing! The atmosphere, staff, food all were so phenomenal. We loved our experience there and i would definitely recommend to my family and friends. We will visit again soon :)
Always Great ... in such a busy restaurant there's always going to be mixed reviews, though every time we've booked or dropped in, we've never been disappointed and this is why we go back!
It's so refreshing to receive great service (by everyone!), delicious food, perfect atmosphere all in one place
Great celebration on Saturday night with family. Great atmosphere, service and food
Fantastic service, great food and awesome cocktails.
The food and majority of the staff were great, one particular member of staff was very rude and disrespectful
This was our first visit to The Ivy, but I’m sure we will be back. It is a lovely venue, that in my opinion manages to set itself apart from the majority of the competition. The service was very attentive , with our waitress being very proactive with a slight delay to our dessert. The food was very good, and we particularly enjoyed the surroundings. Overall an excellent dining experience.
Poor service, not value for money food average. I wouldn’t visit again.
I visited with my Mother and Sister on a Friday lunchtime. The staff were fantastic very accommodating and all very welcoming. The food and drink was lovely can’t wait to visit again.
Really nice place and wonderful food! The staff was really kind and nice. Daniele, the Italian waiter, was super helpful and patient. We will definitely come back!
Enjoyable, not a great deal of selection for savoury, sandwiches or sandwiches no pastries. Cakes generally good but to have 2 scones was too much a different sweet would have been better. Teapot too small and to be charged for a subsequent pot was ridiculous considering the cost of the treat. Would I return no, afternoon tea at the Hilton Manchester is cheaper, better choice of savouries and you get more, cakes better choices and only 1 scone, unlimited tea coffee or chocolate.
Amazing food, amazing service. Vibe was great can’t wait to go back 👌🏻
Amazing decor quality food quality service. Very happy overall
