excellent venue with delightful staff . Attention to detail was good , food choice excellent, service very good . Very expensive but if a special occasion, who cares, well worth it. Will return when i win the lottery.

I always come to The Ivy in The Lanes every year and it didn’t disappoint this time round at all! The staff were very welcoming and the manager had even said hello to us! The food was excellent and Tom our waiter had recommended some new dishes to try which had just been added to the menu yesterday which I had to try! Everything about the Ivy was amazing and I cannot wait to come back next year!

Disappointed with the heat of the food and the coffee served. Also when booking online I noted it was for a special occasion two ladies celebrating their 70th Birthdays in September. No mention of this was said during the Luncheon.

I booked an afternoon tea for my husband, son and me as it was my husbands birthday. Firstly, it was a humid day and the staff had to be asked twice for water which I thought was inconsiderate. Then we were told whichever drink we started with we could have more of that drink but not have an alternative! This has not happened in other Ivy's that I have attended and to be honest it made it pretty poor because my son was stuck with 2 hot chocolates on top of afternoon tea which is a bit too sickly. We would have preferred the option to have a herbal or coffee mix. The afternoon tea itself was not very balanced, very few sandwiches and whole load of cakes/scones (Yum for some not for others). To top it off, literally before we had finished the waitress came over with the pastry with a candle for my husbands birthday, but she went straight to my son even though I had told her it was my husbands birthday! I am sure the Ivy in Brighton recruit without supporting their young staff because it made the experience similar going to one of those Lounges, except the room is much prettier and the food is well over priced!

Regarding the sandwiches in the afternoon tea, I have raised your concerns with the Head Chef as they were not of your satisfaction. We'll be sure to share this with our team to improve the Sequence of Service during the Afternoon Tea time. We understand how a small detail like the birthday dessert can impact the overall visit, and we will work with the team, to avoid this misundersatings in the future. Enjoyed a meal here. Good service. Great decor. Everything we ordered was very tasty. Enjoyed the champagne Mojitos. Our waiter very friendly and attentive.
