Three different delicious fish mains, two excellent starters - my scallops dish was the best I’ve had this year….and I choose scallops often, in lots of places.

Our favourite Ivy. Always very cosy and it is so nice to be in the garden on a good weather. Food always very fresh and delicious. Service could be slightly better because sometimes we feel to be forgotten but it is not a big deal. Very recommended.

Felt like a generic spin off of a more iconic brand. Menu was uninspiring and generic. Starters were good, but some of the mains were overcooked, which was fairly unforgivable as they were burgers. Dessert menu was very one note, with a lot of emphasis on chocolate bombe which may have been exciting 10 years ago but now have a feel passe. Service was painfully slow, especially given that the restaurant was only about 50% full and the waiting staff were not rushed. A meal that should have taken a leisurely 2 hours for 3 courses and coffees took well over 3 hours.

The setting of the restaurant and decoration are outstanding. Staff were extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. It is on the expensive side but the choice for most people is good. Unfortunately I think that their menu for coeliacs is an afterthought unlike for vegans and vegetarians for whom a separate menu is provided. There was a choice on the gluten free menu assessed by a phone but the choice of starter and mains was unexciting. The choice of desserts was good and the chocolate ice bombe was exceptionally good. As it was my birthday the next day I was brought a profiterole with a candle in which was not gluten free.

This was my third visit to celebrate my birthday at the Ivy Cobham Garden with two friends for lunch, and once again the Ivy did not disappoint. Everything was perfect: the food was excellent, the staff were friendly, professional and attentive, great surroundings and excellent value for money. Also, I really appreciate that when booking, the Ivy specifies a time period for dining, but we have never felt pressured to finish our meal and leave. I shall be booking again for 2025!

We had a delightful table in the garden - so charming and full of characterful ambience. The food ( kippers and smoked salmon with scrambled egg ) were delicious and the staff super efficient and friendly. Altogether spot on !
