Afternoon Tea was lovely, great service, beautiful venue, friendly staff and scones to die for!
Superb restaurant- the food and service was exceptional and such good value. Loved the decor - friendly staff - we will definitely go back.
Good food fir the cost and the portions were perfect.
Coffee is perfect, not too bitter or bland.
Service could be better
Sadly service is average at best. Follow-up drinks orders very slow and staff regularly key in incorrect food orders or forget completely! These issues (not one-offs - but experienced regularly) spoil an otherwise ambient and pleasant venue.
Been here a few tunes for breakfast now. Really lovely vibe and great food. Service also very attentive. A great place for catch up with friends
Had a 9:30pm table reserved for Valentine’s Day. Service was great, we were very well looked after and the food as always was delicious, even managed to finish my girlfriends steak on top of my steak tartare. No problem with being fully booked, they managed it very well and would highly recommend it.
Valentine,S night and friends anniversary.
What a find! Beautiful little restaurant that surpassed all expectations. The service was second to none: the staff couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome and looked after. The food was sublime. Will most definitely be coming back.
We were given a table upstairs which was not as nice as the main restaurant in our opinion , The service was ok but the waiter kept pouring our wine every few minutes and in the end I had to tell him to stop , It was like they wanted to rush you out of the restaurant for the next sitting , The food was well cooked but even by the Ivy standard very small portions , We have eaten at the Ivy 3 times previously and the meals were more generous , it was valentines night so maybe they had to conserve food for other diners .
We were seated upstairs which, apparently is only used for private parties, or in this case, valentines dinner.
With a candle on the table, it was quite romantic, but too dark to read the menu, and it appeared that everyone was using their mobile phones to read them.
The food and wine was very good, as usual, although my steak was a little over for my liking, this was picked up by the maitre d and rectified.
Thanks to all at the Ivy, made us all feel welcome, food and drinks surperb! Our 18 month old daughter very much approves!
See you all soon
Very good breakfast and attentive service. My reason for not giving 5 stars was due to where we were seated.
While we were waiting to be seated, I over heard a lady in front of me booking a table for a future date and requesting a table in the main restaurant. She was told that this couldn’t be guaranteed but the request would be noted and tables would be assigned on the day.
I asked if we could be seated in the main restaurant as it was a chilly morning and I have found the conservatory chilly before. We were told that our table was in the conservatory, even though there were several free tables in the main restaurant and at least 2 of them tables for 2. While we ate the main restaurant only became emptier, so I cannot see why they could not accommodate my request, especially as we had booked. I can only think they were holding the tables for casual walk-ins.
Very enjoyable evening and excellent service, as ever
Great venue, nice layout, amazing food, really special.
We took my mother-in-law to this lovely restaurant earlier this week, there were 5 of us celebrating her 80th birthday with her. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The food choice was good, if your not a fish lover, there could have been more choice as predominantly fish choices, however, alternatives are vegan food, steak or a couple of chicken dishes and the highly recommended Ivy Shepherds Pie, which sadly, I did not try. There was time in between courses to let your food digest and the waiters knew who had ordered what without having to ask. Drinks were flowing nicely and a lovely little desert was bought out for my mother in laws birthday from The Ivy, which was complimentary. Will definitely visit this delightful restaurant again. 5/5
It was my daughters birthday and I took her, her sister and baby grandson.
The waiter was amazing - don’t know his name but he looked like Robert Pattinson! Nothing was too much trouble and his food recommendation was amazing. We all had it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Only negative I have about the Ivy - it’s too hot! It’s always too hot and I find myself getting irritable and not wanting pudding or coffee - I just want to get out! Shame as I usually love to finish off with a coffee.
Good restaurant and very much suited to Cobham.
There is always room for improvement!
This was our first visit at “The Ivy Cobham Brasserie” for my birthday. The service from the bar to the table was excellent and the food superb. No criticisms at all and we will definitely return.
No one told us we could not bring balloons in I brought a special ballon for a friends birthday on Monday and got told on arrival you don't allow balloons cos of a latex allergy, you should consider letting clients know this before arrival and if you don't at least offer something complimentary.
This is a "Fine dining" restaurant, and both the food and the service were excellent on this visit. I could not fault the food, and the only thing that went wrong with the service was somebody removing a wine glass which still contained a reasonable measure of (expensive) wine. This was immediately rectified by the staff, who provided another full glass, even though my friend protested she could not drink a full measure. (And she didn't!) We will definitely be returning soon!
love the relaxed feel of this place, the food was good, lot of choice of cocktails , and the way how they are making is amazing 😉 service was lovely, I really recommend this place, and for sure im coming back 🤗
First time we have been to The Ivy in Cobham, possibly had to high expectations..the food was very average, the service was reasonable although we had to pour our own wine, and we didn't enjoy the area where we were seated, and the chairs were uncomfortable and hard. Sadly we wouldn't go back.
I found it very hard to get one of the waiting staff’s attention on a couple of occasions, however when I did manage too they were polite & helpful. Very nice atmosphere and tasty food would recommend for a special occasion.
I had a brunch date planned with friends. The staff were very welcoming on arrival, taking our coats and taking us to our table. We sat in the orangery overlooking the garden and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely, we had the full english and vegetarian breakfasts.
My starter was fine but my main meal was dreadful, over cooked and tasteless.
The first bottle of wine we ordered was corked and was sent back.
Not very good at all. The staff were very pleasant.
Great fun in a superb atmosphere
Celebrated an anniversary with style
We have been to the Ivy both in Cobham and Guildford an number of times and we are always impressed with the service and generally with the quality of the food. However on this occasion the standard seems to have slipped a little bit and I suspect commercial pressure ie probably the cause. As an example I had tempura prawns as a starter and whereas previously this have been very good with plump recognisable prawns on this occasion it was a mix of prawns and calamari albeit mostly tempura batter, clumped together in a mass. The other courses were ok, but not great. This is a slightly dangerous road as we, like most people in Cobham, are quite happy to pay higher prices than say Cote or the Old Plough, provided the quality is there.
Excellent meal and service. Very noisy but probably the same at most restaurants on a busy Saturday evening.
Myself and my wife went to the Ivy Cobham last Saturday and it was superb. It was very busy when we arrived at 2.30 but the service from start to finish was excellent. Food very nice too and great selection of wines. Highly recommend it
Always good food and great service! We were served quickly and got the table we had asked for. Staff are always friendly with a smile on their faces.
Had an excellent time. One of our favourite venues
Very nice restaurant, only we were sat near the main door which lacks any atmosphere and misses the aesthetics of why I booked this restaurant. Felt like a pub, which was disappointing plus we we’re in and out in 55mins which for a special occasion, missed the mark by a long way. Food is very good, but not a great night.
Lovely surroundings and decor . Food was excellent and good value for money
Fab u lous darling 😊
Really good service and very accommodating staff
Excellent service and food. The venue is lovely and bustling. Will definitely return
Very clean, staff polite and professional. Food was excellent and came in a good time.
Only downside is car park is very small and badly designed.
Wonderful venue & beautiful food.
Such a shame that the service was so poor.
The Afternoon Tea was delightful. We all enjoyed it. I asked for more tea but we didn’t get any extra milk and when I asked for it, the waiter forgot and it was delayed. It’s extremely noisy so difficult to hold conversations. The actual place has a lovely atmosphere though.
Great food and service as always ! One of my favourite ivy brassieres
