Waiters were fab! All very polite, friendly and welcoming. Was also very clean and nothing was ever too much to ask. Matched with gorgeous facilities, the overall look of the restaurant was very aesthetically pleasing and beautifully lit, loved the foliage.
Good food but over priced.
Slightly grumpy waiter
The ivy is on another level the food is amazing and the whole experience of going there is fantastic
Great service, great food, pleasant atmosphere, definitely worth a visit for a treat
This was a present from my son and family so we decided to use it on our anniversary.
when we arrived shown to our table that was front of house right next to two young women breast feeding. I have no problem with this but we did feel awkward for them.
Waited a short time served with drinks. Good order taken but not prompted about sides so when food arrived it was scarce, my husband's recommended dish said it came with three veg when it arrived it had one bean , ten broad beans and a couple of peas hardly your five a day portions, very tasty. My meat was tough and chewy did mention it when asked if meal was ok but I didn't want to make a fuss. We had a lovely surprise of two perfitteroles with happy anniversary on them this did make up for alot. Wouldn't go again.
Our waiter was splendid and did his best.
Outstanding service from friendly and knowledgeable staff
Amazing food and service
The Ivy never disappoints! The food and service is always amazing
A top class restaurant. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Staff were superb. Very efficient service.
Really enjoyable experience.
One small downside. Tables were too close together, could hear other peoples conversations.
My favourite restaurant in Bristol. Great food and good ambiance.
The main dining area - the old bank, is very pleasingly decorated but the Orangerie has less through traffic and quieter. It’s certainly no greasy spoon but a bit of posh nosh is worth digging a bit deeper in the pocket for every now and then - enjoy - I did.
Lovely food and lovely setting, would definitely go back
Very good food (as usual) in comfortable surroundings.
At times it was very noisy and it was hard to have a conversation
Been to this restaurant a few times. The food on this occasion was okay. My fish was very greasy and the chips dry and over cooked. The curry our friend had was quite bitter. As a result of this we decided against a pudding or coffee to follow.
There was a feeling of get served quick without the usual attention we are used to.
Great location and setting and usually like it here. However something went awry this visit with service (maybe pingdemic) which tarnished it overall and whilst the Maitre D’ did intercede and tried to resolve (and did to some extent albeit shouldn’t have been an issue to start with), she didn’t have the best customer service skills. Will try again but has dented my view of it
Food and location is brilliant. Yesterday we experienced slow service. Not had this before but it was 45 mins before we got our drinks order & a further 45 mins before our pre-starters came plus our starters - which we sent back until we had enjoyed our pre-starters. After that the service became a little gung-ho with glasses and plates cleared before we had finished. Hoping for a better experience next time.
Great food, service and ambience - could note be faulted! Thought there could be table more space between diners at the next table - felt they were A bit too close
A beautiful lunch for an intimate bridal shower, the staff were polite and attentive and made the experience lovely for the bride. The food & drinks were delicious and service was prompt!
As usual, friendly, very professional service. It's a great experience dining at The Ivy and the menu is comprehensive so there's something which will appeal to everyone; good vegan and vegetarian selection. Wines pretty reasonably priced too!
A lovely experience - will definitely be returning.
Delicious food. A lovely way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We loved everything about it, food was amazing and the service was impeccable.
Our waiter seemed distracted. Brought warm water and walked off mid order of drinks! He just never really engaged us or smiled. That said the service was fast and the food was good (my steak was a little chewy), but everything else was great. LOVED the sourdough bread to start. LOVED the creme brûlée.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Great service. Would recommend to anyone.
Good food good service would recommend would come back again only think little one expensive
Visually beautiful restaurant. Staff are polite and helpful. We were given a table by the garden and it was super. Food and drinks amazing. A perfect few hours Thankyou
A lovely setting for a family lunch, with excellent food and service.
Usual good fresh food and good pleasant service provided
Lovely relaxing lunch to celebrate a late birthday and Anniversary all finished off with a kind gesture of two profiteroles decorated with a Happy Anniversary.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Excellent food, excellent service in superb surroundings.
Lovely choice of food in a lovely atmosphere. The lunchtime set menu is the best value by far.
Love the Ivy. Food and ambience always good. Service was not so good this time. Had to ask for pre lunch drinks. Had to ask for waiter to take our order. The waiters should scan the tables instead of the guests having to catch their eye.
Had a lovely brunch at The Ivy in Clifton on the way to Cornwall - wonderful food and ambience. Much more civilised than stopping off at a service station!
Excellent overall experience. Food was amazing and service was outstanding Would certainly recommend to other customers
Wonderful food. We did have to ask twice for the Vegan/Vegetarian menu as our waitress forgot to get us one, also despite requesting this alternative menu we were only brought the standard menu for desserts and thought they would have remembered the vegan dessert menu. We did have to wait a short time for our side dishes, I think they were forgotten as our mains were brought and 'enjoy your meals' from the waiter, I was about to ask for our sides when we saw a waitress with our side dishes at the desk looking confused, and they were then brought over for us. We also think it would be better if the 'discressionary service charge' was left as an option and not automatically added onto the bill. We chose not to pay the full service charge but just a tip, and was then asked 'how will you be paying the rest?' We would however thoroughtly recommend The Ivy at Clifton and will definitely be going back.
A fab experience for our anniversary. The food and service were excellent. Also loved the ambience.
Wonderful way to spend a special afternoon. Ambience, food, service and most of all company was amazing.
We really enjoyed our afternoon tea experience on Wednesday. The food was lovely and the desserts beautifully presented. It was our wedding anniversary and we were presented with 2 chocolate eclairs, which were delicious. Our thanks to the staff who were working very hard.
