The Ivy City Garden
The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.
The ivy city garden is a hidden gem. Down a little side street in the centre of busy Liverpool Street it provides an environment of tranquility and calm. The stress falls away as you walk through the door and are totally pampered. The staff are fantastic and very attentive, the food was just amazing and there is such a choice. If I was a billionaire I would go there everyday for 3 meals! I will be back and back and back again.
Beautiful setting, reminded me of a green house (but with tasteful tables and chairs) The starter which I believe was a seafood cocktail was out of this world and was nicely paired (by our waiter) with a wonderful Provence rose. For mains I had the fillet, however it was slightly overcooked, they quickly addressed the issue and cooked me a fresh one in a number of minutes, which was perfect. Our waiter was humorous yet not overbearing and overall it was a great meal. The chocolate truffles are a must. Thanks again team!
Staff were welcoming at the door and I was shown to my table. It was a busy place and the tables very close together (almost intimate with the neighbours!).
Service was fine, our chicken a little over cooked at the edges but the overall experience was agreeable.
We booked a late lunch and sat towards the back in front of the garden bar. Service was formal but friendly. The food was all very good, with generous portions in the side dishes and some delicious fried zucchini chips as shared nibbles before the starters. As the main lunch rush subsided it was much quieter which made for an enjoyable and relaxed environment to chat over dessert and coffee.
Arrived at 12.15 on a Monday to find the restaurant already filling up quite quickly. Efficient reception , pleasing ambience and the food was really very good . Worked well for my client meeting but be aware that the price reflects the quality so expect c. £60 a head for two courses with a couple of drinks. Worth it though.
Lovely setting and lovely food. Attentive staff, service was quick. Very nice place for a bite to eat.
Everything was very very good , food was good , drinks were good
Very average, expected better
we had booked a table for 8 food was excellent and service was the same we definitely be going back
Conveniently located close to Liverpool Street. Food is ok but little choice. Small tables. Funny enough food served on extremely large plates with very little food it them.
My shepherds pie was a size of expresso cup and the plate nearly a size of landcover wheel. Green salad was really good.
For me it was too noisy to talk. The restaurant was full so service was very slow, but waiters worked hard and were friendly.
Coffee (I ordered a pot) was extremely weak and cheap tasting-a disappointment for me.
Desserts were lovely. Fireplace at the back added nicely to the atmosphere.
Overall if you want to have an expensive meal and be close the the station - it’s a good choice.
Make sure you book a table. It was funny- gratitude was added to my bill I wanted to pay cash, so I asked it to be deducted as I was paying by credit card. The waitress was standing on top if me until I took the cash out if my wallet while was quite embarrassing and unexpected
Thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend but warn people of the very high noise level.
Very disappointed, service was substandard and not what I expect from the Ivy. Won’t be back!
Really lovely food, service was good, but young drinks waiter tried to deliver 3 tables of drinks to our table by accident. Ambience was great and would definitely go back!
Great food. Bit noisy due to the DJ and poor lighting, but no problem once we had made our menu selection.
Services was rushed
I've been to The Ivy City Garden a few times now and have always enjoyed it, but my most recent visit was disappointing. The food was lovely, as always, but the service was so rushed. I know you're only allocated 2 hours at the table, but as my friend and I had been seated early we had a little longer, but still the staff were constantly trying to take our plates away before we'd finished. It was really frustrating and did ruin our evening a bit.
Very good quality good. Also excellent service
The food here is always delicious and the portion sizes are perfect. The atmosphere and the décor are perfect for this area. A great venue.
We arrived early, before the table was ready. They sat us at the bar and came for us when the table was ready, in time for our client.
The room is very large, airy and busy without being at all overwhelming. As you would expect the everything about the restaurant and bar is of the highest standard, nothing is too much trouble.
Our waiter was a little inexperienced, a little too quick to come back and ask for our order, however much better than too little attention.
The meals we excellent, all starters, mains and deserts went down well with each. I had the Ribeye steak cooked to perfection.
The wine was superb, @£75 a bottle you might expect it to be.
Overall a very good experience
Great service and good food. Good attention to detail
good for business breakfast, food great- service a little disorganised..
Although the place is great, food good and service excellent THE PLATES ARE ALWAYS COOL AND THE COFFEE TEPID - come on guys!
Joined my parents last minute for a business meeting, very accommodating, impeccable service, great food and wine, absolutely love this place 😁
We arrived early and were allowed to be seated which saved us hanging around in the cold. We had a fabulous meal with great service, thank you.
Fabulous atmosphere, food amazing. Staff soon made effort when realised it was my daughters graduation celebration and presented her with a cake. Lovely evening as always
Wonderful restaurant with great ambience. The food was really lovely and tasty. Enjoyed my evening very much.
Lovely venue, restaurant was busy creating a nice ambience. Waiters attentive but not overbearing.
They brought me the wrong dessert but put it right and were very apologetic.
Only one down side I had sent them a message in advance that it was our anniversary and despite the fact they'd asked if was a special occasion promptly ignored it.
Overall a nice venue with a good menu choice, we would visit again.
Amazing food with great service and great company. The restaurant's decor is gorgeous and I've been here 2 times and had a great experience each time. 100% recommend as the value is good for the outstanding service and food you receive.
Very nice customer experience. I received a wrong plate for lunch, but this was fixed in about 10 minutes. Everything was very apologetic, but professional and they even removed the item from my bill. I was there before and happy with the food and service, but this incident confirmed their care for their customers.
We just love the Ivy City Garden, it our favourite in London , your staff are so helpful and extremely customer orientated .
All really great but not a fan of sitting on garden furniture to eat your meal, furniture in the conservatory part could be of better quality & a lot more comfortable.
I usually love the Ivy both this location and others . This time I was disappointed some firm favourites had been removed from the menu (mushroom orzo) was fantastic . I opted for steak and it was not cooked well at all. I requested medium rare and it was raw in places but given my request I didn’t complain . My friend however had the same issue with hers and should be really complained as had ordered medium well
My chicken was dry and hard with no taste, the mushroom sauce wasn’t that great either. I didn’t even finish of my 2 pieces of chicken just had a bit of 1! Ambiance and service is nice and the decor is lovely but that’s about it.
Fantastic location for City workers or anyone really .Amazing food and service all the way. Will definitely visit again.
A great venue for a business lunch, impressive setting, good food and good service. Thank you.
We had a really lovely time. It was our first visit to Ivy city garden. The ambient was lovely, will have to go on a nice Summers Evening to soak up some outside atmosphere too. Food was amazing, and no long waiting time.... The waitress was fabulous, nice chat to her on top of being very efficient. Will definitely come again!
Great food and environment. We had a lovely afternoon.
Food was fine but the service was inattentive and slow.
On numerous occasions we had to get the attention of a member of staff to either replenish the glasses or clear the plates.
A number of the Managers were iust standing together in groups of 3 just talking and ignoreing the customers.
Not what you would expect of a City establishment when lunching!
Had lovely meal to celebrate husbands birthday. Food was lovely and service excellent. Lovely restaurant. We will definitely be returning.
Very slow service
