The Ivy City Garden
The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.
The Ivy in Brighton is the one we usually go for to and we were pleased that wine, food and service was very consistent in this brunch. Really enjoyed our lunch. Having DJ also helped with noice levels as the restaurant was very busy, but we couldn’t really hear conversations around us, which was nice.
Christmas meal with old friends
Always have a good experience at The Ivy chain. Took my friend for the first time and he was very impressed. Lovely food and good size portions, definitely value for money!
My favourite place in the city, would highly recommend.
I booked this table 2 months in advance. I asked for a nice table as it was a friends birthday. We got put in the furthest table away in the restaurant which was cold and lacked any atmosphere. We asked to moved to another table which they promptly did. I would understand if we go that table it we booked last minute. It was disappointing. Food and service was nice.
Perfect setting with even better food. I have been a number of times and it never fails me. i would recommend the fish and chips
Very pleasant place for a city lunch, although rather noisy when full
Great atmosphere, always a real buzz. A little pricier than most but you are paying for impeccable service. Thanks for having us!
Always a welcoming place to be and obviously very busy with Christmas bookings. Lunch not quite as spectacular as on the previous occasion but still very good. Charming hosts as always.
Yes great food and brilliant service! Quite loud but it added to create more of an atmosphere.
Wasn’t the best service. Rather slow and not particularly on the money in terms of attention.
Lovely visit as per usual. Quite pricey starters and mains but a good selection of food. Service good but a busy Tuesday lunch time meant that we often had to signal for assistance instead of it coming automatically to us. Repeatedly had to ask for drinks top ups, and I sat with an empty wine glass for a full 20 mins before summoning someone for a refill. Normally one would be offered another glass when service staff can see that it's empty. Goodness knows what it must be like at Friday lunchtime. Criticisms are a niggle however, and overall an excellent lunch.
Service isn't what it was when it first opened - rapidly declining. Front of house do not ask to take your coat, we ordered extra drinks in two occasions - one coffee took 25 minutes and then they tried to serve us it twice. Other drinks took 20 minutes. Not acceptable for a breakfast meeting with clients.
Very good food, excellent service, good value for money & lively atmosphere
Delightful as always! Fab food and great service!
Great brunch, perfect eggs benedicts, great services, nothing to fault!
Excellent atmosphere! A smile from waitresses doesn't cost much 🙂
Took my Mum on Saturday night having never been before and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. From the Candy Floss Fizz cocktail at the start, the roast fillet of salmon that was baked to perfection for main to the house champagne, everything was delicious. Finally the icing on the cake was the dessert - malted banana ice cream, chocolate brownie, caramelised banana, candied pecans and cocoa nib tuile - the best dessert either of us have ever tasted.
In general the service was impeccable, particularly the ladies on the door as we left.
The only thing I would highlight would be that there was a DJ playing the night we were there and the music was possibly a little too loud to be able to hold a conversation without shouting slightly so if you were after somewhere for a romantic meal this wouldn't be the place! Having said that, we weren't and the choice of music was very good.
Will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our Saturday evening dining here. The actual restaurant is stunning. The service was brilliant. The food was all delicious. I will definitely be returning.
Excellent service. The staff were attentive, always on hand to top up drinks. Were happy to accommodate a very fussy teenager.
The food was good quality and delicious. I would prefer the mains to come with at least one side included.
second time visiting and this time had the champagne afternoon tea and it was spectacular, more than enough food we had left overs so overall i feel great price for what you get and for the area and place you are! will be back!!
Four family members were at The Ivy City Garden for a special family anniversary, and the service from our lovely waitress was outstanding ; prompt, on the ball, sharing jokes, and sharing in the occasion. Food was good, and the restaurant was buzzing and good humoured. Unfortunately the music was MUCH too loud, so we had to almost shout at each other if speaking across the table. This was quite exhausting and I won't visit again for this reason.
Great venue tucked away near Liverpool Street. Good service, delicious food and nice ambience, although music just a smidge on the loud side. Otherwise would not hesitate to recommend or book again
The food was not as good as previous visits .
The foot was lukewarm and the chicken dishes were dry , the service was good and the ambiance was as good
the whole experience was nice but not amazing. three of us has fish and chips and the batter was soggy which was a shame. the chips were really nice though . wouldnt rush back
Definitely going back again and hopefully we get a great table. It was our anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
It is a bit noisy and crazy busy but the food is worth it.
I found the shepherds pie a bit disappointing. It did not look particularly enticing. It looked rather small and as a woman it was fine and it was tasty but I know my boyfriend would have found it too small as he has a big appetite. The ambience and service was good and I would return but would advise friends not to have the shepherds pie!!
Really nice however the tables of two are so close together that you are basically sitting with another couple.
Love it here, it’s my favourite. It has a great vibe and the food is excellent. I will be back.
I have to say i was very excited to try Ivy City with its Glitzy Bar, Buzzy atmosphere, great cocktail and food menu BUT when we sat down for food... the food arrived at best was average and lukewarm.
The service was dreadful, paid over £100 service charge asked the waiter to take glasses off the table we had to pour our own water and had to keep asking for a wine refill. Not what you would expect for a high end establishment. Even when a waiter split water over the table and myself his comments were its only water... Shocking response!
The Ivy City will dilute a great established brand at best its inline with Jamie's Italian and we know what happened there....
A real shame but the management really need to invest that service charge into their staff for more professional waiters and not the fast food servers we had.
The arrival greeting is still brilliant. Was shown to the bar to wait for our table but where we sat the roof was leaking!
The food is okay. The starters good and the cocktails but the options and food is dare I say I little old these days. Portion size for me as a vegan was also small. I had to make myself something when I got home. That was after 3 courses.
The one big thing for me is the noise levels. We really couldn’t have a chat due to the ambient noise. Really loud.
Great restaurant, amazing food and excellent staff. Very highly recommended!
I like this place, particularly the garden area. The food is overall prepared and cooked nicely, lots of crowd pleasers; fish and chips, shepherds pie and plenty of fish and steaks. Superb value at around £320 for four of us including drinks and service charge. I always dock a point for screaming babies in a restaurant such as this but unfortunately the poor little mite has no choice that it’s oh so liberal parents make that kind of crass decision.. whatever next, maybe we’ll be able to bring our pets soon as well..
This is a great place for lunch in the City. Good food, good service, nice-looking restaurant.
Food is pretty average but it’s a convenient place to meet
Second visit and it didn't disappoint - cocktails and food were just lovely. Great atmosphere and the staff are attentive and well mannered. Would recommend
The food was great, but our waiter was inexperienced. Did not know how to pour champagne properly. Generally less competent than I would normally expect at the Ivy
My second visit in two weeks and again service and food were very good. We had a table on the edge of the main restaurant and the "garden area" which was great.
Great service and food
the Service from booking to sitting down has been excellent and very accomodating
