The Ivy City Garden
The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.
It was a Ladies get together, we all had an excellent lunch, we could only manage the main course with wine and coffee to follow. It would have been nice to have a biscuit or similar with the coffee.
A bit pricey for every day but as it was a special occasion it was worth it. The food the service that ambiance all made the occasion more special.
Service was terrible, we had to ask for things several times before receiving them. Tables were very close so that you felt you were sitting with the people on the table next door. We paid for drinks in the bar before sitting down to dinner but they appeared on the bill. When we mentioned we had already paid we had the manager come over and say the bar man said we hadn’t paid. Next manager gets the Bar man come to the table in front of everyone and say we had not paid, luckily I had the proof and suddenly it all came back to the bar man. Thankfully I paid by card rather than cash so had the proof. We won’t be coming back which is a shame as the food was wonderful but service was too bad to cover for the short comings.
A great find near to station so we don’t have to worry about missing the train. Lovely food, a menu to sort all tastes.
Love the decor, staff are wonderful, food is good but the music spoilt the otherwise great occasion. It’s weird to have pounding dance music at lunchtime when the restaurant is full of families wanting to chat Thumping bass isn’t conducive to appetite or digestion. Highly recommend you suit the music to the clientele and time of day.
Lovely atmosphere. Mentioned that the Eggs Benedict were on the cool side and the waiter quickly replaced them - excellent service
I went for my boyfriend's birthday and was so impressed. We both had a great time. The staff were so nice, although it was busy the overall service was great. Normally you expect the music to be loud so you spend the night yelling at the persona cross the table, however, this was not the case on Saturday.
The food was great value for money. There was nothing I didn't like in that 3 course meal. The staff even sent a complimentary dessert with a candle for my boyfriend's birthday- which he loved! I would definitely go again and would 100% recommend it!
I came here for my girlfriends birthday on Saturday 17th November and the service that we experienced was second to none and the food was beautiful! I would highly recommend to others!
Food good and lovely atmosphere.
nice comfort food. good ambience and service. not bad pricing. ideal for an occasion
Went for a friends birthday food was really good had a great time would definitely recommend
Just a spur of the moment lunch and we were not disappointed. There is always a lovely ambience in any of the ivy restaurants. We have a lovely table and service was impeccable. Food was lovely, we had the brunch menu but still loads of choice
We felt the portions were way too small for the price. About six spoonfuls of duck curry, and 10.95 for a cheeseboard with only 3 cheeses! The noise level was vey high due to a d.j. right behind us. Pleasant surroundings, and professional staff.
Excellent service but ran out of the wine we were drinking and then the alternative wine was not chilled. However this was acknowledged by the senior waiter, who apologised and sought to make this right as soon as possible. Food was very good as usual.
As always very consistent.
I have to say that it was amazing, the service the food, the whole experience was great.
thank you for making my visit with my friend so lovely.
Lively environment for a friends birthday lunch. Food and service was great. Its a very busy place, so can be a little noisy but we didn’t care.
Enjoyed the Moroccan roast chicken with some crunchy Parmesan chips and a decent Tempranillo. The highlight of the evening was the chocolate bombe. It completely silenced everyone at the table. The noise level was too high for me, but it was a good atmosphere and the service was friendly. I’ll go again
Met with expectations so what can one ask of a tried and tested formula 😊
Great ambiance and great atmosphere. The place looks great. Love the decor with the tropical plants. Also lovely food and excellent service. We had a Spanish girl serving us who was very friendly.
The Ivy does the classics with aplomb.
The Chablis de Chablisienne was perfect with the fish and chips.
Disappointing...the venue is lovely but food not so great. Went for dinner with a friend and were seated quickly. Had to ask the waitress a couple of times to top up our wine glasses after she had hidden the bottle behind us somewhere. I ordered the half chicken off bone with Moroccan spices. It definitely wasn’t half a chicken rather a dried out flattened breast piece. Fed this back to the waitress who simply apologised and walked away! Not interested at all & nothing taken off bill. I wouldn’t rush to go back.
I love going here. The food and service are excellent.
The ivy city garden is a hidden gem. Down a little side street in the centre of busy Liverpool Street it provides an environment of tranquility and calm. The stress falls away as you walk through the door and are totally pampered. The staff are fantastic and very attentive, the food was just amazing and there is such a choice. If I was a billionaire I would go there everyday for 3 meals! I will be back and back and back again.
Beautiful setting, reminded me of a green house (but with tasteful tables and chairs) The starter which I believe was a seafood cocktail was out of this world and was nicely paired (by our waiter) with a wonderful Provence rose. For mains I had the fillet, however it was slightly overcooked, they quickly addressed the issue and cooked me a fresh one in a number of minutes, which was perfect. Our waiter was humorous yet not overbearing and overall it was a great meal. The chocolate truffles are a must. Thanks again team!
Staff were welcoming at the door and I was shown to my table. It was a busy place and the tables very close together (almost intimate with the neighbours!).
Service was fine, our chicken a little over cooked at the edges but the overall experience was agreeable.
We booked a late lunch and sat towards the back in front of the garden bar. Service was formal but friendly. The food was all very good, with generous portions in the side dishes and some delicious fried zucchini chips as shared nibbles before the starters. As the main lunch rush subsided it was much quieter which made for an enjoyable and relaxed environment to chat over dessert and coffee.
Arrived at 12.15 on a Monday to find the restaurant already filling up quite quickly. Efficient reception , pleasing ambience and the food was really very good . Worked well for my client meeting but be aware that the price reflects the quality so expect c. £60 a head for two courses with a couple of drinks. Worth it though.
Lovely setting and lovely food. Attentive staff, service was quick. Very nice place for a bite to eat.
Everything was very very good , food was good , drinks were good
Very average, expected better
we had booked a table for 8 food was excellent and service was the same we definitely be going back
Conveniently located close to Liverpool Street. Food is ok but little choice. Small tables. Funny enough food served on extremely large plates with very little food it them.
My shepherds pie was a size of expresso cup and the plate nearly a size of landcover wheel. Green salad was really good.
For me it was too noisy to talk. The restaurant was full so service was very slow, but waiters worked hard and were friendly.
Coffee (I ordered a pot) was extremely weak and cheap tasting-a disappointment for me.
Desserts were lovely. Fireplace at the back added nicely to the atmosphere.
Overall if you want to have an expensive meal and be close the the station - it’s a good choice.
Make sure you book a table. It was funny- gratitude was added to my bill I wanted to pay cash, so I asked it to be deducted as I was paying by credit card. The waitress was standing on top if me until I took the cash out if my wallet while was quite embarrassing and unexpected
Thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend but warn people of the very high noise level.
Very disappointed, service was substandard and not what I expect from the Ivy. Won’t be back!
Really lovely food, service was good, but young drinks waiter tried to deliver 3 tables of drinks to our table by accident. Ambience was great and would definitely go back!
Great food. Bit noisy due to the DJ and poor lighting, but no problem once we had made our menu selection.
Services was rushed
I've been to The Ivy City Garden a few times now and have always enjoyed it, but my most recent visit was disappointing. The food was lovely, as always, but the service was so rushed. I know you're only allocated 2 hours at the table, but as my friend and I had been seated early we had a little longer, but still the staff were constantly trying to take our plates away before we'd finished. It was really frustrating and did ruin our evening a bit.
Very good quality good. Also excellent service
