Was disappointed with the position of our seat - outside and in the doorway during a thunderstorm. This was greatly disappointing, and after asking to move, we were told there were no available seats. Another server reassured us that our table was always positioned there, and had never presented an issue. Seemed to be one which was ignored and unloved.
It was good but I felt that we were a bit rushed in the venue, waiters/waitresses should ask first if they want more drinks rather than pouring it and not to take away food without asking.
Lovely as usual
We were in the garden and it was lashing with rain, thunder and lightning and the staff were magnificent, moving us to keep us dry, staying positive and helpful. Really great service. Just one little thing; the Lemon Cake isn't cake; it is meringue and my friend was disappointed. Other than that all good in a lovely setting.
Food was not as good as I had expected e.g. steak was not cooked as asked for and was poorly seasoned as were all the sides . My wife had to send her main course back as it was stone cold, by the time it was replaced I had finished my main course. Service at the bar was terrible , after explaining 3 times that pale ale was a beer not a wine the half pint glass and bottle was strangely put in front of my wife even though she had ordered a cocktail.
Service and atmosphere great. Good value for money.
Solid and reliable choice in SW London. Would definitely go again.
I wanted to take a video of the garden but I was told that no pics or videos are allowed. So I couldn’t share my experience with anyone. The food was lovely. The mocktails could have been better.
Poor service. Lack of attention. Rude waiter. No air conditioning so was very warm and caused uncomfortable atmosphere.
Outstanding service, great food & atmosphere. Staff were attentive & friendly. Would go again!
A beautiful and amazing dining experience!! Everything was on spot , delicious food , a must visit! One waitress was very kind and helpful, i didnt pick up her name but she was from russia! Thanks
Service was a bit slow at the start and we were offered a wrong table but otherwise really enjoyable.
Always enjoy our visits to The Ivy Kings Road.
Sat in the back part of the gardens but didn't know it was the smoking area and I didn't like the fact that people came from the other part of the restaurant to smoke there which was right infront of our table.
However overall we had a lovely evening and the food was lovely and they managed to sit us at the bar after our meal and the cocktails flowed.
Great place to go - staff are fab.
Lovely meal, not a great table.
We had a lovely table beside the beautiful outdoor area. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were thoroughly looked after by Vladimir. The food was delicious and the anniversary dessert was a lovely surprise. This was our second visit following our wedding meal last year and will definitely be returning next year.
memorable evening will book again for our aniversary
First time dining in the garden, it is stunning. Food is extremely tasty as always. Looking forward to visiting again soon
Lovely meal … air con was not working ! So was very hot 🥵 and kept having to ask for drinks that we had ordered ! Waiter was nice , but drinks were definitely not flowing .. disappointing!
Love the Ivy for its relaxed buzzy atmosphere . Beautiful inside and out. Great people watching. Wonderful food good service . A little slow at times but better then being rushed.
Not happy with the only holding tables for 5 minutes especially when booked weeks before . Was I. Panick because we were running late due to no trains which affected whole party . Was told I’d loose £20.00 per person and table if more then 5 minutes late !!! I think this needs to be looked at!!!
Other wise great.
Unfortunately, having reserved a table outside many weeks in advance. On arrival at the restaurant at the time the table was booked for we were told we would need to wait for 1hour 15minutes for an outside table. So we were given an inside table, which although was nice enough, certainly wasn’t what we had wished for and had chosen that particular restaurant for its outside dining,
Lovely setting, fabulous food, and service is excellent.
As always, the Ivy Chelsea has provided an amazing experience with exceptional food and quality service!
My aunt fell ill at the restaurant and the staff could not have been more attentive, kind and understanding. I can not praise them high enough for their health and concern.
The Chelsea Ivy is a lovely restaurant especially if you get a table in the garden where the staff kindly seated us but the whole restaurant is a delight. Thought the food was much better than other Ivy restaurant & staff friendly and efficient.
Joe our waiter was amazing, we had a wonderful lunch just disappointing that we had to leave our table but we knew about the time allocation 👍🏽
The Choice is very Limited on the menu. Ordered a rare steak and it had no blood so was obviously abit over cooked. The service is exceptional so cannot complain there. None of the mains come with sides therefore being quite overpriced.
Excellent ambience, service and food. Highly recommend
We absolutely loved it. It was a huge treat. The setting was perfect for a family brunch
Beautiful atmosphere. Fabulous and attentive service. Delicious food and excellent value. My favourite restaurant.
Lovely meal we enjoyed with our daughter and friend would recommend thanks
I went with my grandson. Even he commented on the unbelievable noise level. The food was pretty average and overpriced. Won’t bother going again. A shame as it’s my local eatery.
Food was very good, although the steak did come lukewarm. The service made the whole experience very average, any drinks ordered from the bar took a very long time to average on average over 10-15 minutes each time. Our starters arrived at different times to each other and we had to wait an additional 5 minutes for the second starter to arrive. Additional condiments such as mayonnaise also took along time to arrive. Overall the experience was okay however the finishing touches are missing.
Great food , well priced , lovely setting and very attentive service . Definitely worth a visit and will be returning
great food and excellent service
Would definitely go again
The restaurant itself has a great ambience, you don't even feel like you're in London. There are a lot of staff, an extensive wine list and generally, the staff are nice.
Unfortunately on the day of our visit, the circle line tube (closest to tbe restaurant) had an affected service due to large amounts of drivers being PINGED. This meant we all arrived at the table rather late (myself 6 minutes, fellow companions 20mins late). I didn't realise but apparently we only had the table for 2 hours, which is fair enough, industry standard, however to be told 15 minutes before that the drinks we had ordered had been cancelled because they needed the table rather dampened the experience. The better thing to have done would have been to offer to move us to another table where we could have our drink. For the price we paid as well (£6 for a bottle of beer, really?) To be asked to leave doesn't reflect the brand of this restaurant. In all a nice time but a disappointing end.
There is wow factor when you walk in, really nice decor. The food was good, would not come back for food but will be definitely back for another occasion or to impress my guests. Service was perfect! The only reason for 4 stars: ordered the table outside by the fountain but there was no table reserved so we ended up inside which was actually really nice...they were quite generous with the time- we stayed over 3h😊
Very pleasant visit even though upon booking my table on the special instructions was a request which was not done which as it was not busy at that time and would have appreciated being told prior to the visit that the request was not possible .
I would suggest if special requests are not available there should not be an option asking your guests.
I love coming here so much, the setting is beautiful, the food is amazing and staff are always so friendly & helpful. Excellent value for money :)
We had a marvellous time with my husbands parents (prior to visiting Buckingham Palace gardens - very good location as it’s so close by). The cocktail mixologist was engaging and talented. The waiter was fabulous too - restaurant was a bit understaffed due to the Covid situation but they were running around and doing their best.
My one and only criticism was the vegan option was a bit disappointing- the sweet potato in the curry was cut into very large lumps and it was a bit bland. Everyone else really enjoyed their lunch. we had the best time, would go back anytime and would recommend to anyone.
Beautiful restaurant, wonderful ambience, excellent customer service and amazing value for money.
