The Ivy Cafe Richmond
Beautifully located near the river Thames and a few moments from Richmond Park, the restaurant features a private dining room and a bar, offering relaxed yet sophisticated dining.
Always enjoy breakfast of brunch at The Ivy Cafe.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always excellent.
Outstanding. Great service and food. A real Richmond gem. Who needs the West End!
On arrival our table was almost on top of band!!... asked to move which was not s problem.. lovely seats.. good food, beans a trifle to undercooked but fish cake etc perfect...choc bomb never disappoints
Food was good, the waiter tried his best but was badly let down by his colleagues. The main course took around an hour to arrive meaning there was no time for dessert or coffee.
I celebrated my sons 24th birthday at the ivy
The service was excellent
The food was delicious
The decor was exquisite
Would just love to have heard some 1920’s music in the background
The desserts 🍨 are to die for.
Beautiful surroundings with great food and attentive friendly staff.
Love the atmosphere. The food was great we really enjoy it. My iberico pork chop was cooked to perfection and my husband cod was super tasty.
Really enjoyed my experience delightful server he was completely charming quite noisy but it’s fine if it’s not an intimate dinner you’re looking for, gorgeous atmosphere
Food was excellent- a couple of blips due to kitchen sending out wrong food and one coffee that never arrived but overall a really good experience.
Have been here several times and never disappoints. Great food, service and ambience.
It’s stunning in there. Was a bit disappointed with my avocado benedict. The avo was freezing and it made the whole meal taste cold (not great when you’re eating eggs). But otherwise it’s a lovely place.
very pleasant treat breakfast appealing to all ages! only comment would be in relation to portion size of Vegetarian breakfast - maybe offer choice of medium or large portions.
Sunday Breakfast, with my wife and daughter. We were given a very pleasant table by the window.
I had kippers, which were first class and well presented. I have been here a few times before earlier in the year, and must say this place exceeds on making your visit a really enjoyable one. Service is attentive, yet not intrusive. Value for money, ambience and food really is a great assets to the eating community in Richmond. I cannot fail to recommend this place.
I have never had a bad experience at an Ivy but last night made up for it. We arrived an hour early so asked if we could have a drink at the bar before heading to our table. We also asked if we could possibly have one of the booths but understood that they were reserved for tables of 5 so we decided to wait for a nice table for 4. When we were shown to our table I was disgusted - it was the worst table in the restaurant, immediately by the front door. I had made this reservation months in advance as my friends were travelling up from Orpington for the occasion. I mentioned this to the gentleman who had greeted us at the front door and was told it was not the way the allocations worked. I would have left but my friends were determined to make the best of the evening so we stayed for dinner. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was excellent, but for me, the icy cold draught every time the door opened and people folding up their umbrellas by our table marred the whole evening. Our table was really a walk in table and I’m amazed it was allocated to someone who had made a booking so far in advance and who had arrived in good time.
Excellent service with friendly staff. I am normally pescetarian but when I go out I sometimes have a steak. I went for the sirloin and ordered medium rare but it was served as medium to well. However it was still very tender and tasty so I did not complain. Vegetables and everything else were done to perfection.
I’ve eaten many times at The Ivy Richmond for dinner where it had been fabulous, however the earlier sitting for lunch with an abundance of afternoon teas didn’t work and ruined the atmosphere. The service also wasn’t as sharp as it usually is, with a wait for a booked table and orders forgotten which had never happened before.
Beautiful interior, great service from a very friendly waitress. It was busy so we did have to wait a bit to get the bill but the food was lovely and the atmosphere was great so we didn’t mind at all. Definitely recommend, I have been here a few times for dinner and afternoon tea and I truly recommend going for afternoon tea it is lovely and great value for money!
Amazing staff so professional, friendly and attentive
I think the chocolate bomb is one of the best deserts I have had.
Wonderful evening. I would rate this in my top 5 restaurants.
Birthday party. Great service and great food. What more do you need?
Really enjoyed the lunch set menu. Lovely decor and good service.
I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. The egg cane in one big dry lump and tasteless and the bacon had been deep fried in old oil. It was so poor. I regularly go on a Friday and sometimes other says for breakfast and sadly this time it was horrible but I was being treated by a lady who doesn’t have much money and wanted to treat me so I didn’t want to make it awkward. It was genuinely very poor and the chef needs a good talking to as does the supervising staff for allowing the rubbish to leave the kitchen. I expect better from The Ivy.
We came for breakfast which was excellent! Great place, lovely food-highly recommend.
When I book a table a mentioned about my boyfriend birthday and ask for a sign Happy Birthday with dessert but he never got one ..
The Ivy Cafe Richmond offers excellent food and outstanding service in a lovely room. I always find it difficult to choose, especially among the scrumptious starters. On this occasion I chose the duck salad with courgettes, watermelon, and cashews. Very tasty, as was the sole meunière. Very good list of wines by the glass. Don't miss the frozen berries and white chocolate sauce for dessert- a recommendation from someone who never eats sweets!
It took over 25 minutes to be seated over my booked time, had to remind one of the staff I was waiting by the bar. My experience there wasn't as good as the last time.
Service was terrible. Food took forever to arrive and we had to really work to get attention from staff. We must have waited the best part of an hour for our mains. We ordered at about 745ish and mains didn’t arrive until 910.
Food was amazing and the service was exceptional. We needed to add an additional seat at very late notice and the restaurant were happy to accommodate. The restaurant was very buzzy and busy for a Wednesday evening
We had a fantastic time, the food was excellent, although the soup was unfortunately not hot enough.
But we would definitely come back, the atmosphere was fab, the interior design great and the service absolutely lovely.
A beautiful place to enjoy a fantastic meal and equally good service!
Went for breakfast on our wedding anniversary. Excellent full English + Virgin (unusually for me) Mary. Delightful service in a beautiful restaurant. Got a free cream cake too!
Always great service, food and drinks.
Very good service- such a lovely, sophisticated, and warming atmosphere. Would definitely return. It is expensive but the food is of very good quality. Great for special occasions or to treat yourself once in a while :)
Just L O V E the Fish & Chips - that's why we keep coming back! Thanks Ivy Richmond Px
Set lunch menu was good value and delicious. Excellent cocktail and very good service
I eat here a lot and took my mum for her birthday lunch. She felt very spoilt and loves the food and decor. They even gave her a complementary dessert which she loved.
Outstanding service. Just the right balance of pro and friendly. Excellent food.
Thank you for having us again we love coming to your resturant Atlantica
Only my second time at this Ivy - we popped in for a quick pre theatre dinner. Very good food and friendly service. The decor and main dining room area is lovely in this Ivy. Busy and buzzy as always
