   Booked as a surprise for my mothers 70th birthday on the website, highlighted birthday in the drop down option and in the special requests box advised ‘my mothers 70th birthday lunch’ which showed on the booked email confirmation. No-one mentioned her birthday, said happy birthday, offered congratulations at all. Previous friends have advised birthday guests are usually offered a complimentary desert plate or even congratulated. Prior to leaving I asked a waiter if the policy had changed and he was shocked to hear no one had offered congratulations or ‘done anything’. Slight shame the ham starter on the set menu was off and replaced with rabbit, however the steak was lovely and the waitress was polite and attentive. Drinks were served quickly and beautifully chilled and the atmosphere was lovely. My mum however was ‘disappointed that I hadn’t told anyone it was her birthday’ and on forwarding her the email indicating I had, she was then annoyed no-one ‘offered her congratulations on her big day’. Would definitely return, lovely food , just a shame about the missed information.

   A great place to go and treat yourself to a fine dining experience. Great atmosphere and service. The food is perfectly cooked and nicely indulgent. A real treat and worth the expense.

   I always enjoy coming to the Ivy and the food and service is always good. However this time I felt the service was not good and ruined the experience. Waiter hardly attended us, never smiled, waited ages for drinks and one waiter wearing a blue jacket and a beard I felt was rude. I asked for tomato sauce when my burger arrived and the waiter said ‘but you’ve got relish there’ pointing to the tub of relish on my plate. So I had to ask again for it. Every time I’ve asked for sauce they bring it no question. It was almost as if I wasn’t allowed to get sauce because I has relish. It’s these small things that ruined this experience.

    Delightful Mother’s Day lunch with my daughter. Lovely gesture to receive a bunch of tulips from The Ivy as well. Food delicious, we had haggis Bon Bons followed by fish cakes with a side of green beans and delicious elderflower champagne cocktails. Service impeccable as always, our special go to place for a celebration.

    Lovely staff and very attentive , they moved our table to downstairs as I didn’t realise there’s were so many steps to the upstairs seating area having not been before. All done with no fuss, lovely experience

    First class service from start to finish. Waiter very attentive. Enjoyed our food choice although we didn’t like the dijon mustard, far too strong, tasted more like English mustard. That was only fault. A very nice touch with the birthday desert/candle. A lovely surprise.

    Steak was cold when delivered and had to be sent back. No reduction on the bill to compensate and they still wanted the 12.5% service charge that had been added to the bill.

    Our first visit to Ivy. We were a couple and were placed at a table next to other couples, thankfully we weren't too close to be knocking their drinks over when we went to the restrooms however we were still able to overhear conversations next to us. Once issue we had immediately was that the lighting was so dim we couldn't read the menu, so there we were with our phone lights on pointing down at our menu's in an effort to read them! I felt embarrassed initially but on looking round the restaurant I found we weren't alone! There were quite a few people around us struggling with the dim lighting conditions. Food was really nice, however again, couldn't see it very well due to poor lighting conditions, tasted good. We were very well service by our waiter and other staff, they are very well trained and pleasant.

    8 people dining. Lovely place and had great meals before but several dishes were cold when served including both steaks, sides, Korean chicken dish and wine was placed away from the table and glass's not topped up regularly enough. Waiter had a strange sense of humour and basically insulted the jewellery some of the ladies were wearing. Think he's was trying to be funny, but didn't pull it off .gave a discount on a couple of meals and a couple of bottles of wine which was nice but we were celebrating my wife's birthday and it kind of let the night down. Would still recommend the place, but based on my experience of previous trips, not my last experience.

    Good, my first time and really enjoyed it. For quite a traditional establishment the music was a tad loud but that is probably because my group are getting to the stage where our hearing is waning. Otherwise our waiter was excellent and made everything run smoothly.

    The food was excellent especially prawn cocktail one of the best ever!! We arrived had a brunch menu on the table, we ordered drinks that never came, so we asked and they had to take the order again not ideal when starters had already been served. The most disappointing thing was no empathy and nothing mentioned about the bill, we were charged for the drinks that took half an hour and also charged service charge which I think is appalling. Not what we expected from the ivy. Won't be returning to Glasgow ivy

    Unfortunately this time not as good as in the past. Ordered chicken and it was raw for two of us. Had to be sent back. Offered us free coffee and chocolates but don’t expect this level of mistake. Also don’t like changes to cocktail menu as these are usually so fab it’s a key reason for booking for special occasion. Ambience and staff lovely though.. Shame about the food.

    First time in The Ivy at the weekend for lunch and it was excellent. I have been to the Edinburgh one before and thought it was good, but my experience in Glasgow was far superior. Food was excellent, the restaurant is visually lovely, but the staff where truly outstanding, really friendly and great service!

    Considering I had people in my party pre pay for a lot of extras before arriving at the Ivy, the way we were treated was unacceptable. Turned away at the door when arriving for dinner to be told to go elsewhere cause our table wasn’t ready, having to strongly persuade the staff to give us the wine we had already paid for and to be ignored at times when service was required. The Ivy in Glasgow gives you the experience of a London restaurant with all of the negatives. Would not recommend and will not return.

    Food was really poor, service was good. We ate off the valentines menu. The starters were good. We were asked while eating our starters if we had finished, I think this was an indication that our mains were ready. When finished our starters our steaks came, they were both really well over cooked. We got them fresh out and they were undercooked lol but we just ate them anyway. The manager Suzy was really helpful. We got our dessert which was horrible to say the least, it was as if it had been sitting in a fridge for a week with stale pastry and a mouldy raspberry within it to top it off. For the price, the food really is not worth it. It is lovely inside but the food was bad.
