   Myself & three friends decided to treat ourselves to Afternoon Tea at The Ivy, Bath. We arrived & asked if we could sit on the terrace as it was a lovely day, this was fine. When seated we ordered tea & coffee & water. We received luke warm tea & coffee so asked for some hot water to top up the pots - we never received this. The water we asked for never arrived, just the glasses. We asked if it was possible to have more cream for the scones, that never arrived! After receiving our initial afternoon tea we weren't asked if we required anything, if everything was ok, we were just left. Any requests we did politely ask for never arrived! We all used the ladies toilet on the terrace & these were not up to the standard you would expect - bin overflowing on to the floor with used hand towels, no fresh hand towels to use - not a good impression for a place you expect high standards in. The afternoon tea itself was very enjoyable but having just one cup of very luke warm coffee/tea with it was not nice & no water either. We didn't pay the service charge that was added as didn't feel we received any service at all! On leaving the premises we were asked by the young lady on the door if we had a nice time. We gave our feedback (the above) & she just said she would 'pass our feedback on'. Unfortunately the whole experience was a disappointment & at £33.95 for afternoon tea you expect more. I have had better experiences at half the price!

   The food was good as usual. Drinks were a bit disappointing though - the “strawberry mojito” must have had essence of strawberry memories, because there was no sign (color or flavor) of strawberry to be found. Service was a bit slow and sporadic despite it not being busy at all, sadly not as good as other Ivy locations I’ve been to. Overall an average experience this trip, but unfortunately it did not meet up to expectations.

   Not the best night, we put our order in then waited and waited, no food came so chased up. Got lied too about our order, then mains arrived but not had starter yet. Manager was very apologetic and went on explaining about how sorry they were while our dinner got cold. Oh yes, they also supplied shots and cocktails to guy on next table so we had to listen to him kicking off at his dinner guest while he got wasted!get one star for the food.

   Took my husband for his 60th Birthday breakfast. Been lots of times before. Felt we were a bit cramped up at one end of restaurant which I didn’t like. Food and service were good.

   Absolutely wonderful dining experience. We celebrated my friends 60th birthday and the service, food and atmosphere were outstanding. My friend was even presented with a very generous complimentary dessert to celebrate her birthday. A truly special day. Thank you
