Nestled in the heart of Brighton’s historic quarter, the brick-paved Lanes, The Ivy Asia Brighton is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and much more.

Savour a menu as rich and varied as the diverse cultures that span the continent of Asia. A couple of things which made our visit not quite as good as it could have been including having to ask to move table and being made like it was an inconvenience for staff. Lukewarm rice which had to be sent back and the starter also being lukewarm. The waiter was very polite and attentive which helped but it was slightly disappointing

We arrived a little early and enjoyed a drink at the bar before our table was ready. The decoration of this restaurant is outstanding and the vibrant atmosphere was excellent. The food was absolutely first class and the choice of drinks extensive. The service was friendly and efficient. The prices are quite high but worth paying for such a different and memorable evening.

Staff were excellent and food was amazing. A little pricey but you certainly pay for excellent quality.

I went here for my birthday. I’ve been before with a large group and really enjoyed it. This time, however, the service was below par. The food was exceptional though! Arrived at our designated time and there was nobody at the desk. We waited for about five minutes and then the maître D turned up with no apologies for keeping us waiting. We were then told that our table wasn’t ready and were escorted to the bar to order a drink. Whilst we were waiting for our cocktails, our table was ready and we were taken to our reserved table. Our drinks never turned up. After about 15 minutes, I called over a waiter and asked where my cocktail was and then they prepared it and brought it over. The waiters has waitresses were very friendly and helpful, but I feel as if there were maybe not enough staff for the amount of people eating in there. Lots of time waiting to catch somebody’s eye to order another drink. Our main courses were also brought over but without any cutlery we had to ask for that and also ask for a knife and fork, as we had both ordered meat dishes that would’ve not been possible with chopsticks. It’s a shame as it’s a lovely restaurant with beautiful food and great ambience and as I say the last time we went it was fantastic. Just thought I’d give a heads up as this aspect of things did let the side down.

Thoroughly enjoyed previous visits so took my 2 grandchildren with us yesterday. We later ordered our starters and main meals. 1. Two starters ok but third only arrived after first two had finished theirs. 2. Waited long time for main courses. Then only 2/4 prawn dishes but no rice. Took ages to arrive by which time the prawn dishes were not hot. 3. Dish arrived on its own with accompanied noodles as expected. 4. Waited again for my curry dish. Everyone else was well into their dishes. 5. 3/4 deserts arrived but fourth was Green lantern not the doughnuts I had ordered. Waited again some time before they arrived. All in all very disappointed and my grandchildren couldn’t believe how wrong everything had been. Apologies from 1/3 staff who attended us and despite a reduction in bill for deserts was also charged £20.03 service charge!!!

Wehad the dragon set lunch menu . It was excellent value. Staff attentive and the whole experience was very pleasant. Will definitely go again soon.
