Pizzas are always good. My pasta dish had great flavour but the crab was minimal. The barramundi wasn’t as good as the previous visit - too much potatoes and no flavour balance. The previous fish was nicely charred skin with a fresh asparagus and fennel salad. But overall good quality food.
As always, incredible food and great service! Would definitely recommend
Such a great atmosphere! The owner is great, and always so accommodating! Have been a few times, and will definitely be going back again!
We always enjoy a meal at the Italian Food project. It's one of our top favorite places to dine. Great atmosphere, food and service. Highly recommend.
Food and service were great. Need better lighting for the outdoor area once it gets dark.
Looking forward to a good night out with friends, arrived and greeted, shown to the table, service from that time was slow, first drinks after 30 minutes although there seemed to be plenty of staff. Dinner order was slow as well with the entree, arrived but they forgot the second part of the entree. The main meal didn't arrive any quicker. So with a 6.30pm booking and the main just finished by 8pm, waiting for the desert menu, and at 8.35pm the manager states we have 5 minutes to leave due to another booking, I stated the the service was slow and we hadn't had dessert. Not his problem, my partner spoke to the manger who stated the table was needed in for walk in customers and that the web page stated these facts, look at the web page no mention of time slots, may be if the service was better they could have provided proper restaurant service and menu. Apart from the poor service and average food, prices, the Italian Project had nothing to offer, with so many good restaurants in the area, The Italian Project is not one of them, as far as I am concerned they have lost our patronage. Pay top dollar for poor service and average food, never again
Lovely food and service!
The Italian food project is by far my favourite restaurant in Camden, a good place for a night out, cocktails and incredible food. Staff are super attentive and friendly. 10/10 would recommend
Food was tasteless and poorly cooked. Lack of variety apart from the pizzas.
Food was great and very good value. Service was quick and attentive however waiters were rude and pushy. Music was way too loud (as in we couldn't hear each other tak accross the table) outside and when asked politely if it could be turned down, waiter was rude. However, they did offer us a table inside instead which resolved the issue.
I was very impressed with the check-in procedures, and the food was outstanding!
Lots of loud customers. I couldn't hear my husband because of the group sitting next to us. They had many kids and they were all yelling at each other. Couldn't stay for dessert. I also asked for the left over to be packed for take away, but it was not given to me.
Very loud, especially inside. Wouldn't go again
Arriving for 6.30 booking the outside dining was very loud and very crowded. Inside we had a table for 8 and found the volume of noise grew with every group that arrived. So noisy we couldn't gear conversations from across our table. Beautiful first garlic bread, sensational! Meals arrived which were well enjoyed except for the fish meal which was delivered uncooked, cold and unpalatable. Very disappointing. A 2nd garlic bread was ordered which was dry, tasteless (no garlic or butter) and inedible....so very disappointing. It was left on the plate and the waitress was informed. All in all too noisy and some good meals and some inedible food.
The food was tasty & well presented however I thought the gelato could have been served in a glass dessert goblet instead of a plastic cup & spoon.
Service was great , love the food atmosphere fantastic, only issue is we felt rush with time limit and you were rushing to eat your meal.
Our booking was for 8.00pm waited outside for 20mins, before being seated.
Two adjacent table bookings arrived at approx 9.00pm and were served and eating, while my party was still waiting. Finally served at 9.30pm. No apology received.
Food was nice but service was deplorable. Will not return.
Food ok but pizza were burnt. Spaghetti needed salt and none on table. Service though was very good. Waiter was delightful. Table next to ours was so loud we could barely hold a conversation.
Great food and service highly recommended for families
Food was delicious; service - friendly; ambiance - warm and welcoming; value for money;
atmosphere - rustic.
Would dine there again!
Great experience. Staff highly attentive and excellent service. Only wish that they could provide more vegetarian options. Was essentially only 2 items on the menu
Excellent food, superb 6 star service, beautiful staff and great atmosphere. We loved dining here.
The food and atmosphere was beautiful. Booking was on time. Considering it was a full house timing and service of our food was excellent. Music couldn’t of been a little softer. Otherwise it was a great night.
We were a little rushed ,had to leave the table after an hour and a half but otherwise it was great
As a true Italian, I must say the service was very good. My wife got very good gnocchi, out little girl a mini-pizza Margerita and my pizza Calabrese was as hot as I love it.
We are often going to the Italian food project and we will keep on going.
Ordered an +$80 Steak, it was un-eatable. Toughest piece of meat , both my partner and I left the entire steak, We told the waitress, with no follow up from management. Not even an apology.
The Air-conditioning was appalling, Well really uncomfortable the entire meal, not to mention the large blow flies, flying on the window next to us; turning my children off their food.
Definitely wont be returning.
Amazing as always. Love the food and the staff are great. We had such a lovely time. This is my go to place when I need somewhere lovely to entertain friends and I know I’m going to get amazing tasty food.
Staff and service was great. Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful food.
I have been here multiple times with my partner and the food and service never disappoint. The wood-fired pizzas they make here are some of the best in the Greater Sydney Metro area (or at least just outside of it). The other dishes we've had here have always been exceptionally well made, presented, and, above all, delicious.
We go out of our way to get to this venue and it's definitely worth the journey out every time.
TIFP is a great place to eat. Good menu, nice surroundings and very helpful staff. Mid week dinning means you are hungry and ready to eat when you get there, TIFP dont make you wait and there are ample staff. This is great to see in these times where a lot of people have lost their jobs in hospitality. Good on you TIFP.
I cannot believe how beautiful this Restaurant is, the surrounding were stunning and it felt like we were at an outdoor restaurant in Positano!
The Service was exceptional, we had the $65.00 Chefs menu and the food was amazing and I mean AMAZING and plenty of it, true authentic Italian cuisine. Thank you to Luigi who was the best host and was very obliging. We will definitely be back.
Was a great night and would definitely go back. Food and atmosphere was fantastic.
This was our first night out in a long time and we had a wonderful time. We could hear ourselves talk, but their was still a great atmosphere. Staff were lovely and food was incredible.
Best Italian food I’ve had in years! Authentic flavours, pasta to die for!
Awesome food & really good chefs
The most authentic Italian food I have ever eaten. We were a group of 11 and everyone loved their food
Overall the food was fantastic and authentic. So was the service and price. However disappointed with the swordfish the way it was cooked. I thought it was raw in the middle which was brought to the waiters attention.
Only to be told that’s normal, you can’t overcook the fish. However my partner’s swordfish was perfectly fine.
Always a pleasure dining at The Italian Food Project.
Friendly and attentive staff. Food is always fresh and tasty.
Warm friendly atmosphere and covid safe.
Food was fantastic, the gnocchi was amazing as well as the dessert board. However we waited over 40 minutes for our order to be taken and then another 30 to receive our entrees and had to ask twice for the cheque at the end. I will be back as the food was great, however I hope the service time improves next time or I won’t be back again after that.
We were given 1.5 hours to eat our meal and catch up with our friends. I did not know this until we arrived at the venue. I understand that there has to be different seating times because of COVID, but an hour and half is just not long enough. We had to rush our meal and would have liked another glass of wine with our friends but we had to leave. My chicken was fatty and pink - I could not eat half of it. Both wines I chose off the menu they did not have, and that happened last time too. My husband didn't enjoy his meal either. Very disappointed.
Great Food, Warm friendly staff. Try the fried Gnocchi Yum!
