I miss the buffet bar that iron horse had and understand that because of our current health situation that’s not possible now; but I would like to see better options for brunch
Nice hotel. Food was really good but we did not feel the whole experience came close to other restaurants with similar pricing in terms of the menu options, ambiance, etc.
The booth and table was dirty when we got there and we had to ask to have it cleaned. The menu didn't reflect what was online and the choices were slim to none. We had to ask for silverware after our meal was brought to us. We had to wait for drinks. We waiting at least 20 minutes before we even received our 1st drink.
Food was just alright. I was disappointed with the menu options.
Best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had...And I’ve had them all over the country.
We love ordering the sausage plate with the toast, three types of sausages, syrup with pickled onions on the side. All of it is delicious!
Beautiful building. Amazing brunch with fantastic service- top notch place!
The brunch on Xmas day was excellent. My friend and I had the prime rib entree and it was exceptional.
Foodie approved. Cocktails, food, and service are top notch. The wood fueled hearth cooked entrees are amazing. Try the Milwaukee immigrant culture inspired one-offs. We grabbed the spaetzle to our delight.
Ash is a wonderful relaxing restaurant where you get excellent food and service. It was Christmas Eve and we ordered short ribs for two which was a very unusual presentation and we absolutely loved it. You would expect service to be a little slow on Christmas Eve and it was not at all. Excellent cocktails, as well as a great wine list also. Anxious to visit again!
Reservation made and asked for a fireplace table
Maybe no fireplace ?
Seated right away. Drinks in a timely manner.
Asked for a couple minutes to peruse the menu and it took 15 minutes for one of the girls to come back.
Great service from the wait staff and nice visit with the cook when he came out. We had the short ribs for two and they were melt in your mouth delicious and a great way to eat it with lettuce wraps, veggies and toasted bread. Their grilled edamame starter was fantastic as was the avocado spread on toast appetizer. The grilled brussels sprouts were amazing as well. Great food and atmosphere! Enjoyed the wood fire smell throughout the restaurant. Very cozy.
Don’t go there!!! Wast of money
It was excellent all around. A good time was had by all. I will be back and I would recommend to friends
Unique wood grill restaurant, well suited in a boutique hotel. Nice menu & wine list.
The entrées were good, but not served hot. The mashed potatoes were very lumpy. The cauliflower was not cooked through, it was actually hard. It was a disappointment considering our past experience, the cost, and the fact that we have not gotten out much since the Covid virus has hit.
We thought we would try someplace different for our anniversary and was disappointed. For the price it is not worth it. Too expensive for basic Walmart grade food. This does not compete with other high end restaurants for the same price.
We stayed at the hotel as well and it had dog fur on the coach and dog feet marks on the tables. The hotel/restaurant director corrected it all quickly and professionally. For a $275 room expected better.
Good social distancing precaustions being taken. There is outside seating if weather is cooperative. To allow for proper social distancing, reservations must be made ahead of time. Food and service were excellent. I would eat here again.
The ambiance at ASH was great. The food for all five of us who dined was pitiful. I ordered the smash burger which appeared to be two frozen McDonalds burger patties topped with kraft singles cheese over some bland hash browns and pickled onions. For $17 I would AT LEAST expect fresh burger patties. The rest of the groups food was also less than desirable and no one was impressed with the quality. Quality did not represent the beauty and price tag of this hotel.
Overall a great experience!!
We had a delicious meal. Servers were very friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent. I gave 4 stars for the food simply because I don’t personally use much salt anymore, so I felt items were a bit over salted.
Love the pit in restaurant - as it provided a cozy and aromatic !
Server was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The music was fun but did not overwhelm our conversing. My seasonal omelette was delicious. Be sure to try the fingerling potatoes at brunch if you go- umami sauce was yummy!
Good food but pretty noisy. Service was somewhat slow.
Food was outstanding, but the wait staff was terrible. Even the cooks seemed annoyed by them. She never checked on us to see if we needed more drinks, water or to see how we were doing. Ran out of water but she never stopped by for us to ask for more. This is similar to the experience we had at brunch here recently.
Will return soon so we can try more menu items. We had the advacado spread appetizer and marinated chicken and skirt steak for entrees with carrots and Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes all delicious!!
Have tried the restaurant twice- and same experience every time.
Long wait time for cocktails- drank pitcher of water before drinks came, and super hot inside due to open grill.
Service is slow-
Food is good, not great.
Excellent food and service, just a bit pricey for what you get.
Great place for a date night. The skirt steak paired well with a glass a Cabernet and the mashed potatoes. I’d recommend the avocado toast for a starter.
Yes, I suppose I'd recommend them for a visit, but I would advise my friends to take a close look at the menu. The food offerings on the Ash menu are not for everyone's taste buds. I wasn't a big fan of the food, mostly because I'm not much of a meat eater anymore.
My husband and I were really impressed by the flavors of Ash. We’ll be back for sure!
I love the vibe at Ash. The open hearth and flamenco music was fabulous. There was a great wine selection and plenty of options for a group with varying taste buds. Our server was extremely knowledgable and helpful. I will be back!
This is not a typical hotel restaurant at. The food was absolutely delicious, service was great (thank you Inga) and the ambience was perfect. Try the Brussel sprouts, you will not be disappointed. Out of five of us no one had a bad thing to say. It was a perfect choice for a business dinner!
Everything was delicious! Ask for Sawyer, he provided exceptional service with great recommendations and was very attentive to all of our needs. Will definitely be back!
loved it! coming back on Thursday for my daughter's 21st!
Entrees were amazing, but the rest of the food was very average including the appetizers and sides. Mushrooms were very dry and overcooked.
I was absolutely blown away by the food, ambience, and overall experience. The combination of the grill and open flame cooking 15 feet away with an acoustic set of classic rock in the other room only made the head-on shrimp and potato fingerlings taste better. The food was truly phenomonal.
We dined at Ash for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time there - the ambiance was great, the food was good (I will note they were out of two bottles of wine but it was Valentine’s Day). Our server, CJ, definitely made the evening. She was super friendly and helpful with the menu! Definitely recommend for a great date night!
It was great
Craft cocktails were outstanding, but the food was too salty! I do not mean a slight preference too salty, but my husband and I almost thought it was a joke. Everything was over salted to an extreme. Both of us ate about 1/3 of our meal and requested the check. I let the waitress know and she didn’t seem very surprised by the complaint. She did comp the food and we paid for the drinks.
