Fabulous as always !
My family dined on Sunday for a belated birthday dinner for my mom in law .. I noted it on the open table requests, but unfortunately they didn't oblige .. it was overall a great dinner
Been here many times, usually fantastic, but not this weekend - sea bass was very dry and the waiters were trying to move us out quickly which was strange as we were eating at 8:30.
Ambience, starters, and drinks were excellent.
everything was just perfect. we always enjoy our experience and food. thank you!
2nd time here, but waiter really made for a less than enjoyable evening. He was hovering and without any personality or ability to guide us. Also, food was good, but not amazing. I had scallops with passion fruit (including the seeds). The texture was extremely off-putting. Had it been described by the waiter in any way, I would have selected another entree. My husband had the lamb with aleppo pepper. Perfectly cooked! But, the aleppo pepper sauce was turned into a vinegary barbeque sauce that didn't work. Again, a skilled waiter could have described the dish to help my husband choose.
good service. good food. our server was fantastic and made sure that my vegan dietary restrictions were met. The chef even made me a special cauliflower pizza with which was excellent.
Doesn't disappoint! Great food, creatively prepared. Loved this restaurant, only criticism is that when we've dined here, despite having a reservation, we have had to wait from 15 to 45 minutes to be seated.
In a word Fantastic! Nothing in Westchester compares..
I really had high expectations for the Inn and my expectations were surpassed. From the drinks to the desserts, it was all delicious and well presented. I had the scallops with a passion fruit sauce, and I absolutely fell in love with that sauce! We will be back soon enough!
Excellent - the service is impeccable the room itself is a Dream - I do miss the pri fix lunch because I was forced to indulge in dessert.
Always a fabulous place to dine. We have eaten here about 20x since it opened and live across the road so it's our go to spot. We find the prices are rising which is a drag, but the food is so so good we will continue to come back.
I love the Inn at Poundridge....great Vegetarian options too, great bar and wine list and the food is SO good!
Excellent food and wonderful ambiance! Highly recommend!
Always a pleasure dining in this establishment. It never disappoints.
I travel about 1 hr to come here and it feels like I am away in the country in a fine classy establishment. Overall a lovely experience
This was my second time dining at the Inn at Pound Ridge. My first experience was exceptional; the service and food impeccable. This time both the food and service were sadly less than stellar, or at least not what I was expecting of such a highly acclaimed restaurant. Service was somewhat lagging (i.e., drinks not arriving as timely as one would normally expect/desire, bread not provided until almost before appetizer served, overall attentiveness lacking). The food was not as sumptuous as our first dining experience either. Portions of the burrata were more runny than creamy with an inedible skin (not the typical soft mozzarella skin), my New York Strip steak was medium-well rather than medium rare as I requested and dessert was lackluster. Had my waitress come back within a reasonable time after our dinner was served, I would have returned my steak. Instead, it remained there, practically uneaten (save for two bites) until our dinner plates were cleared. My only consolation for the ill-cooked steak was a complimentary cookie desert instead of what should have been a credit to our bill. Will try again but hoping that the next experience is more aligned with my first.
I like the Inn at Pound Ridge but I think it is too expensive for what it is.
Extremely noisy, poor service, very basic informal ambience for the price level—square wooden tables, no tablecloth, silverware that is old and does not match;
Food was good and creative but not described well on menu—sushi appetizer —put on large fried rice cake?? Who would know; portion of salmon on main course is small; pork loin excellent
Only has valet parking
Love this restaurant for special occasions and travel 40 moms to reach it as it’s completely worth it. Both upstairs and downstairs are phenomenal. Food is excellent, service and wines amazing. We always have a phenomenal experience.
We had eaten at the Inn at Pound Ridge before and it was a very good meal. This visit however was a disappointment! Appetizers were good but the main meal was a mess to say the least. First we were given the wrong side. When the correct side showed up after several minutes it was cold. Fish entree was good but the pork was fatty and very tough. Overall quality was unacceptable for the reputation of the restaurant and the name associated with it. I think the kitchen needs to be checked for quality by Jean-Georges as it’s not up to the standards we have seen at other Jean-George establishments. Management clearly could care less as no one other than our server apologized for the meal. What a disappointment!
It was wonderful. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service was superb as well. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Once again we had a wonderful time. Sat downstairs and got a window seat overlooking the patio. Food was great, service outstanding.
Our fourth visit to this restaurant and it always lives up to our high expectations. We love the seasonal specialities: this time we enjoyed fresh peas, fava beans, and ramps. It's our favorite restaurant in Westchester.
Just perfect !!!!
As always, the incredible setting, lovely attentive wait service and outstanding cuisine are something we expect when we dine at Inn at Pound Ridge.....and last night was no exception. This restaurant hits the mark every time !!!
Service has that 'we're better than you and we don't need to be personable' vibe. Food was just okay - not up to the usual but it was lunch so who knows...
The room is always pretty and was with good company. The bill was a whopping $80 for 2 burgers and a shared dessert but hey, we didn't have to wait long for our valet since we were almost the only ones in there.
The Inn is one of our favorite places, we wish it was closer to home and we would go even more often. Love the food, the atmosphere and the service.
We have been several times. Food was not the best we have had at The Inn. That said, we be back
We had an absolutely wonderful and delicious time.
The restaurant is beautiful and getting a table downstairs at a window adds to the experience.
The food is always great and perfectly done. Great wine list for all budgets.
I have dined here and at many Jean-Georges establishments over the years. This has gone down hill. We were seated in a nice spot but service was non-existent.
Started with baby lettuce and the salad was thrown together like we were at a food court. We had the burger and the orchietti. The best part was the dessert. Overall, food didn’t deliver the subtle flavors we expected and the service was so poor.
I live the space and the ambiance but the quality is way below standard. It was really expensive as well.
A real let down.
Wonderful dinner. The service was friendly and on point. The Happy Birthday written in chocolate on a separate dessert plate was a nice touch and much appreciated.
Wonderful food and service
Extra pleasant service and wonderful food. All around good experience.
Always enjoy lunch at the Inn. Food and service was excellent!
Wonderful place! Food was fantastic… Service as well. Definitely a place for special occasions. Will be back.
We don't usually dine out on holidays but we decided to do so this past Easter. We arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled reservation and were told they were running about 15 minutes behind schedule. We were seated in just that time - overlooking the bar area. I have only been to The Inn once before but now know to ask to be seated downstairs for better ambiance.
Our waiter was attentive. Our food arrived on very hot plates which leads me to believe they sat under the warmers for a while. My scallops were a bit dry as a result.
I plan to return to The Inn at some point - maybe not on a holiday.
The food and service were exceptional, as usual. It is an exceptional value. We will continue to patronize this very special place.
This restaurant is truly one of the finest in every way... casual and friendly, with a vibe that is just unparalleled. Oh, and the food??? Well, maybe the best I have ever eaten. Every time we have been there, our server has been exceptional, last Sunday especially.
A Sunday cocktail in the springtime is a treat, and my husband and I sometimes go for just that purpose. Lucky us, living just a few miles away. The prices are high, so we keep it a "special occasion" destination. This is a treasure, well worth whatever you have to pay.
My husband and I, along with our sons (7 & 12) had a reservation for brunch on Easter. We were seated promptly and then waited for an hour and fifteen minutes before our food came. And when it finally arrived, they had gotten our order wrong. The food that we did get was not up to the standard of other meals that we've had there either. Our waiter sincerely apologized. The manager spoke with us and seemed like he hated every minute of it. It felt like he was doing so to tick a box, instead of that he had any genuine concern for us. Our bill accurately reflected the food that we ordered, as opposed to what was served. Though we planned to leave immediately following our entrees, they surprised us by giving us three desserts on the house. I know that it's busy on a day like Easter. But they know it too and should bring their A game for occasions like that. We won't be going back anytime soon.
