Wildly overpriced given the quality of the food. Not horrible by any means - but fell well short of expectation.
Burratta with Meyer lemon and stale pumpernickel was pedestrian
Brussels sprouts were just short of al dente and in desperate need of salt. They tasted like my mother cooked them and the reason I avoided foolishly for years.
Prosciutto wrap pork chop was dry and over cooked.
Parmesan chicken was good.
Salted caramel sundae and blueberry pie were honest efforts.
Glass of Sauvignon Blanc and vodka rocks was $38. Really?
Love the Inn. Had lunch for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. Delicious salmon, melted like butter. And the fresh pea soup also very very good! Very happy to have the Inn in my back yard!
One of my favorite places. It’s cozy with great food and relaxed atmosphere.
Very nice lunch with friends during restaurant week. Excellent food and service as expected from Jean George. Only dissapointment was having only 2 options on the restaurant week menu but still very good.
Loved it. It’s always fantastic.
As always, the Inn at Pound Ridge delivers. Excellent in all ways.
Food was excellent. Waitress was a bit abrupt and rude. She kept saying she “didn’t try” items on the menu. She was not warm at all
Dinner was delicious. Steamed shrimp salad is my favorite thing in the menu. Wait staff if very friendly. Best restaurant in westchester/Fairfield
Excellent food and service!! Great to have such a good restaurant in the local area. Everything from the valet parking to the food, drinks and service make this somewhere to keep going back to!!
Had dinner for my in-laws birthdays on a Saturday evening. Menu and Wine list we were very nice and appropriately priced. We were seated in the basement level of the restaurant which was very nice but was quite cold. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and pleasant. Only two things that stuck out to me that were the reasons I could not give higher marks were for a restaurant that offers only valet parking, $30 entrees, a comparable wine list with the food, and being as nicely furnished as it is that members of the staff are under dressed compared to the customers dining. The other reason being after going to such a nice restaurant I don’t appreciate being called “ buddy” of greeted at the table by “hey guys”. Seems a restaurant of this caliber could do to educate the staff to present themselves with a little more professionalism towards the customers
Lovely spot but I find the menu stagnant, the execution full of flaws (my pork was way over salted for example), and high prices for what it is.
We had a very nice romantic cozy evening with you! Thank you we will back again. Highly recommend!
The restaurant is very nice - casual chic. We went on a night they were using a generator because power was out in the area, so all things considered, it was great. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Food was good - the steak and buratta were phenomenal. The calamari was tasty, but over salted. Dessert was yummy!
Excellent as always. New lamb dish is on point with a nice balance of mint and spice. Quiet for a Friday night due to the big storm, hence our visit. Weather does not bring this place down:)
As always- food delicious- but for a second Sunday, I was greeted by waiter with- “I’ll go over the deletions”.-including no fingerling potatoes! Items that the restaurant ran out of.... didn’t they look at reservations - can’t someone go shopping?
I don’t care how great the restaurant is- not having all items listed on menu- not specials- is just poor management
This was our 5th time dining at The Inn. Very disappointed. We sat in the bar on a very busy Saturday night. That was the only reservation area left. People bumping into us all night. Two of the four dinners had to be sent back. Appetizers were cold. Despite it being crazy busy, our waiter was attentive and very professional. Polished off two bottles of wine. Don’t think I’ll be going back for awhile. And certainly never again on a Saturday night. One of my favorite places is no longer on my list. Maybe they just had an off night. But a place of this level, just can’t have an off night. Not for a $500 bill.
Absolutely wonderful! Food, service, ambiance. We had the salmon sashimi and chilled artichoke apps, and lobster and black sea bass entrees, and would do it all over again. We will definitely be back. ALLOT!!!
This is my current favorite. The food is consistently good and the ambiance is warm an comfortable.
As usual, food and service were excellent! We usually prefer lunch over dinner at The Inn at Pound Ridge. Not sure if changes were made to dinner entree menu, but we were all very happy with our dinner choices.
Meal was fabulous. Atmosphere is lovely. Staff is very friendly. Best restaurant we’ve been to in a long time!
Perhaps the best restaurant in Westchester County. Love it. G
Very noisy. There were a lot of children there the day I joined a friend for lunch which I do at least twice a year when I am visiting from out of town as a special treat. An entire table full of pre teen girls maybe celebrating a birthday( we were seated right next to them). Wooden floors made it even louder. I chose this restaurant because it is not necessarily child friendly, so was disappointed that we could barely hear ourselves talk. When asked for another table, we were told they were all 'booked', but they never were filled. Cocktails prices crazy expensive.
service was a little less than perfect, which it has been in the past, maybe an off night.
We were seated at a table that was so close to the two tables on either side of us, we could have been eating together. It was intimate in the wrong way. The service was terrible. The waitress was not friendly and she forgot several items. I got a side dish when I was finishing the main meal and she forgot to bring my husband's after dinner drink. The food was very good but we were really disappointed with the experience. We waited a long time to have this dinner and it was definitely not the special experience we had hoped for.
Assuming they were a bit slammed with the holiday weekend, but they just seemed a bit more overwhelmed than normal. Food is always great, service is always good, but with a few flaws. This time around, we waited for 15 minutes for someone to bring us menus and water. We tried flagging down the bus boy who was filling up waters a few times, but he ignored us every time, even after making eye contact as we signaled to his pitcher of water and asked audibly if we could get some. They seem to be very big on offering a variety of waters when they first come to the table, so he's likely been trained to only come do the water when he's been told to. We watched as the table that arrived 10 minutes after us got menus, water, and ultimately their food, well before us. Appetizers were delicious, as always. But after our plates were cleared, we waited a good 30 minutes before our entrees arrived. We were finally brought a cold eggs benedict that was missing the home fries, as well as dressing from the salad that looked like it had seen much better days. They told us they'd bring the home fries but as soon as my husband took a bite of the benedict, he knew the plate had been sitting in the window for way too long waiting for the home fries. We sent it back and waited another 10 minutes to get the plate of food that we deserved but also were paying for. My kale salad with shrimp was underwhelming. While I love this restaurant, we always seem to have one or two things go wrong with our meal, they never seem to hit the nail on the head perfectly ever. Seems they've been there long enough and should have been able to figure this out by now, especially this being a Jean Georges restaurant.
We ordered 3 burgers and a pizza and it took 1 1/2 hours to get them and I paid $350 including the tip. I think the restaurant is very expensive with regard to what it serves and the menu is fairly limited. Also it takes ages to get the food. When I called I told them we were going as it was my wife's birthday, maybe naively I expected a candle for her, though it never happened. I still haven't given up, but I am close to.
I was there over a holiday weekend. The place was very noise (difficult to hear the other people at my table); service was very slow; and food not up to their usual standards. It was a disappointment.
After hearing a lot of great things, we were excited to eat at The Inn. However, we were pretty underwhelmed. The food was good, but not exceptional. Although very friendly, the service was slow and inefficient. On leaving the restaurant I also discovered that they had wrongly charged my credit card twice.
We arrived early for brunch when the restaurant was still quiet. The service and the food were outstanding. The whole experience was great and we will definitely come back for more.
Food was just ok, the place itself is great. The wine was very good. The wait staff was very polite and attentive. It wasn’t crowded when we were there but the bathroom was in bad shape - messy, no paper towels or soap. It was snowing hard when we left and the parking attendant didn’t bother to clean the snow off my car which I had to do did myself - he just pulled it up full of snow with the windshield wipers on full. I have no idea how he was able to back it up to us. Don’t get me wrong I really like the place, it’s beautiful I just wish the food would have been better.
The best restaurant in Westchester County. Chic. Kinetic. Perfectly ranged menu. Our first choice always.
Atmosphere , food and service were excellent last time I was here was in 1974 when it was Emily Shores Inn brought back such memories . Kept all the original details in place
Nice place and even though holds a lot of people, the split over several levels keeps the atmosphere rather cozy.
Scallops were very creative with passion fruit and spinach (side) plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately, both dishes were rather cold even though we were within the first seated that evening. Way too expensive for the result.
Excellent carrot cake for desert.
Great server and staff. Very attentive! The place was beautiful. Food was the least memorable thing, but the drinks were great.
I have been to the Inn at Pound Ridge on a few occasions. The food is very good but the service can be spotty. For a restaurant of this caliber, I have higher expectations of the wait staff then they have delivered on. Nothing tragic, but at this price point you do not expect your side dish not to arrive nor the waitstaff not noticing that it did not arrive when checking in on our meal.
The Inn at Pound Ridge is always a good idea for any occasion and at any time of day. Its cozy, casual elegance will envelop you and the food will WOW you! The attentive staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!
